AWS AMI label not recognized in Jenkins - jenkins

I am trying to setup an AWS AMI agent in Jenkins via the EC2 plugin. I add a label to the AMI in the cloud/node configuration and add the agent to my jenkinsfile:
agent {label 'agent'}
But when I try to run the job, it gets hung up looking for the agent and indicates "‘Jenkins’ doesn’t have label ‘agent'." Any suggestion on how to get Jenkins to recognize the AMI agent label? Also, I have tested the AWS and AMI connections and they pass just fine.
Thank you!

Jenkins is an open source automation server. It helps automate the parts of software development related to building, testing, and deploying, facilitating continuous integration and continuous delivery

Chef deployment using Declarative Pipeline

I would like to create a declarative Jenkins pipeline setup for the continues integration and Deployment, My only confusion was how Jenkins and chef are going to communicate in this process, after the continue integration, I want the chef to take over and install the Jar or Zip packages and deploy them on the several nodes from Jfrog Repo. Here maven is my build tool. In Jenkins pipeline I can setup until the build is done , is there any thing that I can do in the Post section of the pipeline for the chef communication for deployment or it has to be done. Please share some suggestion.
You can achieve this by putting workstation in one of the jenkins node.
Check out the below image for the same, instead of Ansible use Chef. I suppose this might work, haven't use chef recently.

support with Jenkins configuration

I installed Jenkins on my -AWS EC2 Ubuntu- and on the same server I'm running Docker. what I'm trying to do is to build a pipeline via Jenkins on that EC2 Instance. my jenkinsfile stored on Github
When I run the pipeline I get the following error:
Jenkins’ doesn’t have label ‘docker'
How to solve this problem?
I went to manage Jenkins -> global tools and also to configure system
but non of these solve the problem.
Any suggestions?

Monitor multiple Jenkins server from 1 Jenkins Server

I have multiple installation of Jenkins servers. Is there a way to monitor all the jobs run from one Jenkins server? There is a option for master/slave in Jenkins. But apart from master/slave , is there a possibilty to achieve this?
The Scenario is each Devlopment team has local jenkins. We need to integrate the local jenkins to centralized jenkins. So the local build and deployment can happen in local Jenkins servers, For production deployment they can use Centralized Jenkins server. How to monitor the development Jenkins server.
Thanks

How to add build server details in Jenkins pipeline?

I am having Jenkins in one server and my build server is different. How to point build server in Jenkins pipeline so that my application will build in build server
Using grade and java.
Do we need to use node('Build 1') inside stage?
Suggest me some sample code please.
In Jenkins, your build server called slave machine or Jenkins nodes, which you need
Firstly add this "buildserver" into Jenkins nodes in advance, then you will get node name (or label them like ubuntu-buildserver), see one jenkins distributed build blog
Secondly in scripted pipeline you specify/reference this name in node
node("ubuntu-buildserver")
If you use declarative pipeline, check syntax#agent part.
It is similar for other global configuration like credentialsId, you need define those parameters in jenkins and refer to use them in your pipeline script.

How do I pass on my build file from Jenkins to Saltstack master

We have a Jenkins system to automate build from Github, now we are implementing a Saltstack system. So I need to integrate my Jenkins with Salt-master so that it passes all the new builds to the master which then sends it across the salt-clients(minions).
The saltstack setup is in AWS cloud and and the Jenkins machine is outside the cloud in a local setup.
You could enable the salt-api and using the following plugin: https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/saltstack-plugin then all of your jenkins builds can execute states / orchestrations etc. to any minions on a per job basis.
Another way of doing this is to have a minion running on the salt-master and install the jenkins slave on the same box. Then restrict the jenkins jobs to that jenkins slave and execute the commands as if you were at the command line. NOTE: this option requires a bit more configuration.
