I have a problem with running the make of parsifal (parser)
sed -i -e "s+^\(.*\.cm. *\):+build/\1:+" -e "s+ \([^/ ]*\.cm.\)+ build/\1+g" build/.depends
sed: -e: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `build/.depends', needed by `depends'. Stop.
make: *** [libs] Error 1
Someone can help me with this error?
I am on mac 10.12.2 and ocaml version 4.02.3
This command is written for the Linux version of sed. macOS has the Berkeley version of sed. The Berkeley -i flag requires an argument telling what extension to use for a backup of the in-place modification. You could try editing the line so it says something like this:
sed -i .bak -e <AND SO ON>

i want to play with a perl package called Mail::SPF and there is a Build.PL issue. now i would like to modify the source before running the buildPhase.
for c/c++ based projects this is working well but for perl it fails:
nix-shell -I nixpkgs=nixpkgs_spamassassin/ -A perlPackages.YAML
error: attribute ‘perlPackages’ in selection path ‘perlPackages.YAML’ not found
so what am i doing wrong?
nix-env
nix-env -I nixpkgs=nixpkgs_spamassassin/ -f nixpkgs_spamassassin/ -qaP | grep MailSPF
perlPackages.MailSPF perl-Mail-SPF-v2.9.0
#danbst
nix-shell '<nixpkgs>' -A perlPackages.YAML
is what i was searching for! thanks
I am trying to install OpenCV3.1 on my Ubuntu 16.04 for development in QT5. Sadly, building it from source always errors out due to undefined references (see below).
I used the following:
cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local -D WITH_TBB=ON -D WITH_V4L=ON -D WITH_FFMPEG=ON -D WITH_OPENGL=ON -D BUILD_TIFF=ON -D WITH_VTK=ON..
And it works fine. But building it always produces this error
../../lib/libopencv_viz.so.3.1.0: undefined reference to `vtkSTLReader::New()'
../../lib/libopencv_viz.so.3.1.0: undefined reference to `vtkOBJReader::New()'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
modules/viz/CMakeFiles/opencv_test_viz.dir/build.make:232: recipe for target 'bin/opencv_test_viz' failed
make[2]: *** [bin/opencv_test_viz] Error 1
CMakeFiles/Makefile2:3358: recipe for target 'modules/viz/CMakeFiles/opencv_test_viz.dir/all' failed
make[1]: *** [modules/viz/CMakeFiles/opencv_test_viz.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
Of course I googled and tried everything I found. Tried several different cmake flags (or rather, without any), tried reinstalling libvtk5-dev and also tried libvtk6-dev and even build vtk7.1 from source, since I am assuming something is missing from there.
I also tried adding the opencv_contrib via
cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local -D WITH_TBB=ON -D WITH_V4L=ON -D WITH_FFMPEG=ON -D WITH_OPENGL=ON -D BUILD_TIFF=ON -D WITH_VTK=ON -D BUILD_EXAMPLES=ON -D OPENCV_EXTRA_MODULES_PATH=/home/user/opencv/opencv-3.1.0/opencv_contrib/modules ..
But that already produced the following error
CMake Error at opencv_contrib/modules/text/CMakeLists.txt:22 (ocv_add_testdata): `Unknown CMake command "ocv_add_testdata".
Also please note that I did upgrade/update all the packages that are listed here and here
So basically after two days randomly trying all the possible solutions I could find via google, I am now asking here.
Hopefully someone knows how to fix this, thank you!
Edit: I only get these problems with OpenCV3.1. I do have a working OpenCV 2.4.13
Same happend with me. It was working and suddenly I got the same error. I re-pulled OpenCV 3.1 and it worked again.
It seems that the guys updated something both in Extra Modules and in OpenCV and you have just pull the extra modules.
For the second part, it looks like someone messed up the opencv_contrib/modules/text/CMakeLists.txt
Just edit this file and remove the lines at the end:
ocv_add_testdata(samples/ contrib/text
FILES_MATCHING PATTERN "*.xml" PATTERN "*.xml.gz" REGEX "scenetext[0-9]+.jpg"
COMPONENT "tests"
)
just switch opencv_contrib repository to 3.1.0 tag after clone.
git checkout 3.1.0
and try to build again.
First, make sure you have successfully built and installed vtk on your system;
Then,by using command "locate STLReader" or "locate vtkOBJReader" to ensure "vtkOBJReader" or "STLReader" libs are found in some specific directories. If vtkOBJReader or STLReader related files are found. It means that vtk has changed its structure in the new version, e.g. move vtkOBJReader into a sub library vtkIOGeometry, so you have to tell cmake to find vtkIOGeometry if you want to use that class.
Last, modify opencv3/cmake/OpenCVDetectVTK.cmake, for every find_package(VTK QUIET COMPONENTS ... add an entry vtkIOGeometry.
Success!
I've successfully installed Qt 5.7.0 and Qt-creator 4.1.0 on El Capitan with Xcode 8.
I fixed the xcode sdk-version errors from qt, and now I'm trying to build one of the examples for iphonesimulator. None of them work. All of them fail with error message of type:
The following build commands failed:
CopyPNGFile Debug-iphonesimulator/2dpainting.app/Default-568h#2x.png 2dpainting.xcodeproj/Default-568h#2x.png
I can confirm that directory Debug-iphonesimulator/2dpainting.app does not have the png-file, it's actually located somewhere within the qt installation directories. Copying the png to the source folder does not help as the folder gets overwritten upon running 'make'.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Edit:
The build kit warns about the following issue:
"Device type is not supported by the Qt version". Device type is 'iOS simulator'.
I had the same problem after I had updated my Xcode to version 8.0.
My first error was "Project ERROR: Xcode not set up properly. You may need to confirm the license agreement by running /usr/bin/xcodebuild."
To solve this problem, I created a symbolic link:
cd /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/
sudo ln -s xcodebuild xcrun
Then I got error "Project ERROR: Current iphonesimulator SDK version (10.0) is too old. Please upgrade Xcode."
I commented two strings out in file QT_DIR/5.7/ios/mkspecs/macx-ios-clang/features/sdk.prf
lessThan(QMAKE_MAC_SDK_VERSION, "8.0"): \
error("Current $$QMAKE_MAC_SDK SDK version ($$QMAKE_MAC_SDK_VERSION) is too old. Please upgrade Xcode.")
Then I got error about emulator. Qt could not find it. I replaced line of code in file QT_DIR/5.7/ios/mkspecs/macx-ios-clang/xcodebuild.mk from:
IPHONESIMULATOR_GENERIC_DESTINATION := "id=$(shell xcrun simctl list devices | grep -E 'iPhone|iPad' | grep -v unavailable | perl -lne 'print $$1 if /((.*?))/' | tail -n 1)"
to:
IPHONESIMULATOR_GENERIC_DESTINATION := "id=$(shell xcrun simctl list devices | grep -E 'iPhone|iPad' | grep -v unavailable | awk 'match ($$0, /\(([A-F0-9\-]*\))/ ) { print substr ($$0, RSTART+1, RLENGTH-2) }' | tail -n 1)"
And finally afer all of it I got error "The following build commands failed:
CopyPNGFile Debug-iphonesimulator/Test01.app/Default-568h#2x.png Test01.xcodeproj/Default-568h#2x.png"
This error occurred due to the fact that the system has two file xcrun. And script /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/copypng starts one, which is a symbolic link. Then I changed path in this script
from:
my $PNGCRUSH = `xcrun -f pngcrush`;
to:
my $PNGCRUSH = `/usr/bin/xcrun -f pngcrush`;
And then I finally had built the project without errors and opened it in Xcode.
I had this stupid error and spent two days to nail down. I was about to downgrade Xcode and thought lets try one more time. Finally nailed down.
Symptom:
The simplest project wont build from Qt Creator. The error I would get: CopyPNG failed or something along the line and a hint '-f' unknown parameter.
Reason: xcrun takes both -f and -find from the terminal I can see, but it does not like -f from the script copypng. (copypng is a perl script by the way.)
The solution: Open the file /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/copypng and find
my $PNGCRUSH = `xcrun -f pngcrush`;
changed to
my $PNGCRUSH = `xcrun -find pngcrush`;
PS: I dint have path problem with xcrun, if you have it'd be good to put the whole path as advised above.
After (seemingly) successfully generating compile_commands.json with oclint-xcodebuild, oclint-json-compilation-database fails to correctly create a pmd-style report.
The command looks like this:
oclint-json-compilation-database -e Pods -v -- -report-type=pmd -o=oclint.xml -debug
It returns:
Skipping [Path to Directory with compile_commands.json]. Command line not found.
I'm using oclint 0.7.
Use latest dev 0.8 or 0.9
for me it corrected the bug.
Seen in Sonar Plugin for Objective C, Prerequisites, point 4.
Your command needs to be changed. No "=" required. It should look like this:
oclint-json-compilation-database -e Pods -v -- -report-type pmd -o oclint.xml -debug
After upgrading to Xcode 4.3.2. I'm getting a metric ton of build errors.
A whole line of them are error code 255
gcc-4.2: error trying to exec '/usr/bin/arm-apple-darwin11-gcc-4.2.1': execvp: No such file or directory
Command /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 255
I noticed that there is no /usr/bin/arm-apple-darwin11-gcc-4.2.1 file on my machine. Could this be the source of the problem?
What's the output of this command?
$ printenv | grep "CC="
It might be honoring your C Compiler (CC) selection. I was getting similar errors (through cocoapods) and doing an
$ export CC=
fixed it for me.
