I'm trying to mix local and remote results with Select2 4.0.3. When it's opened it should display the local results only and once starting to type, look for remote results which are then mixed into the results.
While it's working in principle, there are a few issues I have not been able to address. A demo based on the Select2 Githup repo example is here: http://plnkr.co/edit/PNZ7xgu7hTvW7TVaDxgK?p=preview
I mix in the local results in processResults. This function is only called after performing a remote search. If I don't set a minimumInputLength, it performs a search without a search term on opening. In my test I just set a bogus search query which returns no results but then I have a superfluous AJAX call.
If I set minimumInputLength, the processResults handler is not called before enough characters were entered.
Is there a neat way to make this all work and display the local results instantly and only perform a remote call when necessary and augment the results?

Actually I am new to data movement SDK,I want to know how we can used data movement sdk to remove collection from docs which match's specific condition in real time in marklogic ?
Yes, DMSK can reprocess documents in the database including modifying the collections on the documents.
The most efficient way to change document collections on the server might be to take an approach similar to the out-of-the-box ApplyTransformListener (as summarized by
https://docs.marklogic.com/guide/java/data-movement#id_51555) but to execute a custom module instead of a transform.
Summarizing the main points:
Write an SJS (Server-Side JavaScript) module that declares a variable (using the JavaScript var statement) to receive the document URIs sent by the client and modifies the collections on those documents using a function such as
https://docs.marklogic.com/xdmp.documentSetCollections
Install the SJS module in the modules database as described here
https://docs.marklogic.com/guide/java/resourceservices#id_13008
Create a QueryBatcher to get the document URIs either from a query on the database or from a client iterator as described here:
https://docs.marklogic.com/guide/java/data-movement#id_46947
Supply a lambda function for the QueryBatcher.onUrisReady() method - see
https://docs.marklogic.com/javadoc/client/com/marklogic/client/datamovement/QueryBatcher.html#onUrisReady-com.marklogic.client.datamovement.QueryBatchListener-
In the lambda function, construct and execute a ServerEvaluationCall to the SJS module, assigning the variable to the URIs passed to the lambda function - see:
https://docs.marklogic.com/guide/java/resourceservices#id_84134
Be sure to register failure listeners using the QueryBatcher.onQueryFailure() ApplyTransformListener.onFailure() methods to log error or otherwise respond to the unexpected.
Hoping that helps,
I'm trying to touch a UITextField using Calabash. When I use query("UITextField")[x], where x is the number in the array of text fields that are on screen, I can correctly query for just one text field. However, when I use touch("UITextField")[x] it will always touch the first text field. This happens when using the console and when using cucumber to run the tests.
Here's relevant info about my setup:
xcode-select --print-path
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer
xcodebuild -version
Xcode 7.2
Build version 7C68
calabash-ios version
0.16.4
Try
touch("UITextField index:x")
where x == your index.
Also, please update to calabash 0.17.0 :)
Explanation
The Calabash environment is composed of a client and a server. The server runs on the device/simulator as part of the app and receives commands/queries from the client. In this case, the client is the ruby interface through which you are interacting with the app.
The client is responsible for sending enough info to the server to select objects on which to perform the gestures. Once the gestures / queries have been performed, results are sent back to the client as json / hashes, which is what you see in the console. The distinction is important: the server performs the queries, the client does not.
By the time you are seeing the results of a query / gesture in the irb console, it has already been performed: the json that is returned simply represents the state of the views, not the actual views themselves.
So when you are running
touch("UITextField")[index]
This is actually equivalent to
touch_results = touch("UITextField")
touch_results[index]
In the first line, touch_results is receiving the json representation of the elements affected by performing touch on the results of querying for "UITextField", meaning that the touch event has already completed by the time you try to access the results with touch_results[index].
Another way to think about it is this: Given res = touch(query), the query is the part used to specify the actual views, and res is just json that represents the state of those views / results of a query or gesture.
In conclusion
When you need more specificity on a query, the specifiers need to go inside the query. E.g.,
touch("all UIScrollView UITextField marked:'some text' index:2")
(this will search for all UIScrollViews , find any UITextFields inside of them which contain text matching 'some text', and return the 3rd of such results).

I'm planning out how to track internal search data in Omniture/SiteCatalyst.
It's a fairly straight-forward plan for a standard "enter a term and get a page of results" model: set sProps and eVars with the terms, the count of results, and the page searched from, then fire a success event for searching and another for clicking a search result.
For a type-ahead search--where the user is given search results as they type in a search bar--what's a good strategy for handling the timing of event submissions so that you don't end up with different events/entries for letters 4, 5, 6, and 7 of a search term's entry?
Our solution was to leverage a delay on the autocomplete to reduce the number of calls. From a tracking standpoint, if someone pauses for 1 second (or 500 ms, whatever), then they're probably actually waiting for the autocomplete results, and that constitutes a valid search.
From a technical standpoint, we leveraged the delay option on the jQuery UI widget.
Strategy I've always used is to not track the "auto-complete" search features..put the tracking on the search results page same as normal. Or are you saying the whole search results page is being output as the user types? If that is the case...one thing you could do is write some code to pop the Omniture code when the search field loses focus.
Another thing you can do is as the visitor is typing in the search bar, on each keypress, write the current value to a cookie. Then have some code that runs on page load to look for that cookie and if it exists, pop the Omniture search variables and erase the cookie. Alternatively you can keep track of current value w/ a server-side session variable since I assume this thing is ajax driven, and output the omn code w/ server-side code if session var exists. These methods would mean that the search events and vars would not pop on the search results page...this probably isn't that big a deal, unless you have supporting variables you pop, like an "internal search referrer" prop/eVar that keeps track of the previous page the visitor was on (or the page the visitor was on when they performed the search). So you'll have to keep that in mind and carry that over as well.
Whenever you do a search you might be aware of the concept that query string parameter get added at the end of URL.
Suppose www.stackoverfow.com is website and when are you performing a search on it then it will be like www.stackoverflow.com?q=yourname , yourname is the searchkeyword.This keyword we can capture in sitecatalyst.
you can see google.com while searching on internet for sitecatalyst is ---
www.google.co.in/search?q=sitecatalyst
In the same way we can use query string parameter as q = something.
after doing all this thing we can use the plugin getQueryParam in plugin section of the s_code library file to fetch that variable and store that in sitecatalyst variable...
example:-
function s_doPlugins(s) {
var one = s.getQueryParam("q");
if(one)
s.eVar1=one;
}
s.doPlugins=s_doPlugins
insert this below code outside plugin section
/*
* Returns the value of a specified query string parameter, if found in the current page URL.
*/
s.getQueryParam=new Function("p","d","u",""
+"var s=this,v='',i,t;d=d?d:'';u=u?u:(s.pageURL?s.pageURL:s.wd.locati"
+"on);if(u=='f')u=s.gtfs().location;while(p){i=p.indexOf(',');i=i<0?p"
+".length:i;t=s.p_gpv(p.substring(0,i),u+'');if(t){t=t.indexOf('#')>-"
+"1?t.substring(0,t.indexOf('#')):t;}if(t)v+=v?d+t:t;p=p.substring(i="
+"=p.length?i:i+1)}return v");
s.p_gpv=new Function("k","u",""
+"var s=this,v='',i=u.indexOf('?'),q;if(k&&i>-1){q=u.substring(i+1);v"
+"=s.pt(q,'&','p_gvf',k)}return v");
s.p_gvf=new Function("t","k",""
+"if(t){var s=this,i=t.indexOf('='),p=i<0?t:t.substring(0,i),v=i<0?'T"
+"rue':t.substring(i+1);if(p.toLowerCase()==k.toLowerCase())return s."
+"epa(v)}return ''");
you will find that it will capture your search results
please let me know in case of more clarifications
I'm trying to build an addon that will observe and collect XHR and image responses received on a page and make them available to page script (on that page) for further inspection.
In my 'http-on-examine-response' observer code, I push URLs I'm interested in, into an array for their associated window, into an object, something like this -
myWindowId = resp.outerWindowID+'-'+resp.currentInnerWindowID;
storedResponses[myWindowId].push(subject.URI.spec);
(I thought that approach may be better than using tab references to identify unique source windows)
The relevant arrays are updated automatically as any page makes a request.
I'd like to be able to query the relevant array from page script or a bookmarklet at any time.
Should I set up port.on..., or postMessage() communication between the page/bookmarklet, content script and extension, or use a pageMod to write the appropriate array directly to an unsafeWindow global object on the relevant page?
I couldn't figure out how to make a pageMod write a specific array to a specific page as soon as the new responses were observed.

I think it's all working, apart from getting the data back on to the page.
With help from Wladimir Palant, I found that XPCNativeWrapper.unwrap() is defined and does what I needed from the SDK module context. It allowed me to set variables directly in a window from my addon.

I'm developing some reports for Main Page in Dynamics Ax, however the problem i've got is connected with SSRS. Typical scenario i have report A and report B, i need to open report A when clicking on report B. Opening report itself is correct, but passing parameters is more tricky. After some research i got to the point when I want to run report A in browser using the adress
http://(server address)/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=/Dynamics/Reports.VendorsOpenTransactionsCount.AutoDesign1&rs:Command=Render&VendOpenTrans_dataAreaID=dor&VendOpenTrans_p1=2011-07-21&VendOpenTrans_p2=2011-07-21
and then i get report displayed(main window) but non of the parameters are validated into proper textboxes, and changing the value of them doesn't have any impact.
can anyone here help me with that "challenge"
Actually, I believe the critical difference is whether you are passing parameters (via URL) to a report that is using database engine or the SSAS - the analytical engine as a data source.
If your data source is the analytical engine then your parameter should be given in the 'dimension format', rather than in the precise format, like &parmname=140, etc. Allow me to explain using specific example and using SSAS data source for this illustration (there is plenty of solutions available on the net for the database engine based solution, including Microsoft postings).
My server name is FRELASM.
So, I have SSAS data source called DealerSource (not visible here).
I have parameter defined in the parameter's section of the SSRS as: #DwDimDealerCorpDlrNbr
In SSAS I have the following dimension:
[Dw dim Dealer] that has attribute: [Corp Dlr Nbr] ==> giving: [Dw dim Dealer].[Corp Dlr nbr]
What I want is to show a report for a single dealer 'number' (but it is a text field, hence the leading zeros) equal to 00140. So, I am looking for Corporate dealer number=00140.
The parameter passing DOES NOT WORK if I use this [this would be find against database engine, but it does not work with SSAS).
What you need is this:
replace constant 00140 with [dimension].[attribute].[value]
do not use & character, rather replace it with: %26.
So, the working version is this.
Can you take a look at this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155391.aspx
It explains about when you can pass parameters via URL. Maybe your parameters are not set to Prompt for user input. HTH.
