Having trouble in adding number in 0.0 decimal - ruby-on-rails

i am using react.js for some of my views! i changes my column max_budget to decimal and added default as 0 so now the default is 0.0!
i have a button and on clicking it, it adds 2 to max budget every time it is clicked! the problem i am facing that!
the default is 0.0 and every time i click the button to add 2 to that 0.0 to make it 2.0 it messes it up and add 2 at the end on 0.0 as 0.02 and if i press it few times it keep added 2 at the end like 0.022222

Use HTML5 with
<input type="number" min="1.0" max="5.0" step="0.01">
to accept only float values as input. It will accept "." followed by number also, but reject ".", (<input type="number" min="1" max="5"> for decimals.)

(add parseFloat as #Mischa mentioned). I recommend to write "2" as "2.0" for readability (so it's easier to see that you deal with floats)

Google Sheet If dropdown

I have drop down for column A where I want to select value from drop down only for certain times (ie. 3 times), after I select value from dropdown 3 times, if I try to select it 4th time, value should be removed from dropdown or not able to select. Is this possible using excel or google sheet?

So after doing some research I found the way of achieving what you were aiming for here.
Solution
In the class data validation it mentions a method to set the validation to null within the range class. You can check more details about this method here. In that method it mentions that if the parameter is set to null, it will disable the data validation (dropdowns) therefore not allowing to select other values.
Here is a piece of sample code self explained with comments to achieve what you want in your specific case:

Svelte: How to bind a formatted input field to a property

First of all: Svelte is still new to me. I hope the question is not too trivial.
Within a simple component I want to use the content of a formatted input field for a calculation.
For example:
In the input field a Euro amount should be displayed formatted (1.000).
Next to it a text with the amount plus VAT should be displayed (1.190).
How I do this without formatting is clear to me. The example looks like this:

In vue i used a computed property. Its getter delivers the formatted string and its setter takes the formatted string and saves the raw value.

You can do something somewhat similar, you create another computed variable that stores the deformatted string from the input field and is used in the calculation instead of the direct input

Thanks to Stephane Vanraes I found a solution.
It has not the charm of the vue approach but it's ok. First I inserted 'net_plain'. To have the input field formatted during input, I added an event listener for the keyup event.

Where and how pool difficulty(pdiff) is set in bitcoin source code?

I am working with bitcoin source code want to set initial difficulty to 1 (I changed bdiff,nBits field). So I need to change pdiff as well. according to :
difficulty = difficulty_1_target / current_target (target is a 256
bit number)
difficulty_1_target can be different for various ways to measure
difficulty. Traditionally, it represents a hash where the leading 32
bits are zero and the rest are one (this is known as "pool difficulty"
or "pdiff"). The Bitcoin protocol represents targets as a custom
floating point type with limited precision; as a result, Bitcoin
clients often approximate difficulty based on this (this is known as
"bdiff").
Anyone knows where pdiff is stored ? Is it hard coded ?
I found the solution! It's not exactly a pdiff field in the code but there is a function in blockchain.cpp :

for bitcoin initial nBits is equal to 0x1d00ffff so dDiff field above becomes 1 and nshift is equal to 1D. For my private version I set nBits to 0x1f0fffff and should calculate dDiff like

Creating a checkbox and printing it to pdf file is not working using pdfbox 1.8.9 api

I'm using grails with pdfbox plugin. I'd like to print checkboxes in pdf some are checked and some are not.
To print checkbox I did not a direct way(Even by using PDCheckbox class). So I've used the other way to print the checkbox with tick mark using the below code:

This code is working fine in my application, this method is adding checkboxes with tick marks also.
But I can see those rectangle checkboxes or tick marks in only pdf readers, not in all other readers(Like chrome default pdf viewer), and even when I try to print the pdf its not printing the checkboxes, rather its printing some random ASCII numbers.
Please let me know if there is any other way to do this or even if I have to refactor the code.
What is wrong
Your AcroForm checkbox field construction is wrong: You treat it as a text field for which a PDF reader should create an appearance based on the default appearance (DA) value of the field in particular if NeedAppearances is true.
Checkboxes are different, though: you do have to supply an appearance stream at least for the on state, cf. the specification ISO 32000-1:
A check box field represents one or more check boxes that toggle between two states, on and off, when manipulated by the user with the mouse or keyboard. Its field type shall be Btn and its Pushbutton and Radio flags (see Table 226) shall both be clear. Each state can have a separate appearance, which shall be defined by an appearance stream in the appearance dictionary of the field’s widget annotation (see 12.5.5, “Appearance Streams”). The appearance for the off state is optional but, if present, shall be stored in the appearance dictionary under the name Off. Yes should be used as the name for the on state.
(ISO 32000-1 section 12.7.4.2.3 "Check Boxes")
Thus, instead of constructing a DA entry you have to construct an AP ("appearances") entry, itself a dictionary with at least a N ("normal appearances") entry, itself a dictionary with at least an entry for the on state appearance which is recommended to be called Yes.
The specification provides an example which shows a typical check box definition:

By the way, you mention that there is a PDF viewer which actually displays a tick for your document as is. You might want to inform their development that they are doing the wrong thing there.

Formatting time for user input in ASP.Net MVC

I have a form that users are allowed to enter time values in (say, hours spent performing some task). A business requirement is that the time be entered in either hh:mm format, or decimal format. In either case, there could potentially be quite a bit of client side javascript for display "helping"--showing totals, validating against other input, etc.
So, for instance, one user might enter "8:30" for Eight Hours Thirty Minutes, while another might enter "8.5" to mean the same thing. I'm looking for something that would let me keep the form/validation duplication to a minimum.
What are the best ways to go about this with the model and the view?
The regular expression to allow both formats wouldn't be that complicated. I would perform that simple validation client-side via javascript. Beyond that, you may want to add some business validation (at the business object level) for this.
I used jQuery to create a slider that would change the time in the input box in the right format.
In my View File, Create.aspx, put the following jquery function somewhere in the beginning of the body.

this will give you a slider. In the above javascript code change the step:15, makes increments to be 15 minutes.
This is obviously a client side validation. A server side validation should also be implemented of course.
