PDFTron not printing multiple copies - printing

I'm trying to print multiple copies of a report via PDFTron, using the code:
Dim pdfDoc As New PDFDoc("C:\Test.pdf")
Dim pages As New PageSet(1, pdfDoc.GetPageCount)
Dim pm As New PrinterMode
pm.SetCollation(True)
pm.SetCopyCount(3)
PDF.Print.StartPrintJob(pdfDoc, "", pdfDoc.GetFileName, "", pages, pm)
But whenever it runs it only prints 1 copy. What am I missing?

Are you printing to a physical printer, or a virtual printer?
If a virtual printer, then typically a single file is created containing all the copies, so check the total page count to see if it is a multiple of the source (assuming you are not printing multiple pages to a single paper).
Otherwise, the destination printer might not support multiple copies, though I doubt that is the case. You could verify by printing from another application (such as wordpad) to the same printer and see if you can print multiple copies or not.

Suitelink Reference Table

I work with Wonderware software. One of the objects used to perform communication between Wonderware and the PLC is called Suitelink. In it, I have a table defined that has the name of one of my application fields on the left side and the name of the PLC tag providing its value on the right.
Once this saved and activated (deployed) the PLC tags will feed values in the field attributes to Wonderware.
Does anyone know where is this list saved in the system?
I am working at a web page and want to retrieve this list dynamically so I can have the page updated based on the current live value of the PLC tag being used.
I have looked in the database but could not find it.
C:\ProgramData\Wonderware\DAServer
Then within there you'll have several subfolders for your DA Servers. Open the subfolder to find a *.AAcfg file and your contents are in there in what looks like an XML format. You'll be hunting for all the <DeviceItem> tags

Prevent a zpl file from being printed twice

I have a program that generates a text file with zpl code in it. The file is supposed to contain unique barcodes that I only want to be printed once. Is there a way to either guarantee a unique barcode or prevent a file from being printed more than once.
This problem seems to be far to complex for a ZPL-only solution.
Instead, your barcode sequence(s) and printing them should be handled by some sort of programming logic/algorithm which stores the used and unused barcodes in a database or textfile.

can I force Outlook 2007 rule to print first page only?

I have set up a rule to quite simply print out an email when received from a certain address (Amazon sales) - The idea being that as orders come in, they are auto printed and waiting to be packed.
However the amazon emails require 2 pages.
under the Rules menu in Outlook, the option is simply "Print" but no further print preferences are available.
Is there a way to get it to print the first page only? a script possibly?
No, Outlook Object Model does not porvide any fine controls over the print functionality. As a workaround, you can export the message as a DOC file (MailItem.saveAs), then programmatically load it in Word and use the Word Obejct Model to print it.

how to send HL7 message using mirth by reading data from my database

I'm having a problem is sending(creating) an HL7 message using mirth.
I want to read data from my patient table in SQLSERVER 2008 and, using that data,
I want to send a message to my destination connector, a file writer. I want my messages to get saved in the file writer's output directory.
So far I'm able to generate the message, but the size of the output file in my destination directory is increasing as the channel's polling time goes on.
Have I done something wrong in the transformer mapping?
UPDATE:
The size of the output file in my destination directory IS increasing. (My .txt file starts from 1 kb and goes to 900kb and so on). This is happening becasue same data is getting generated again and again and multiple times too. for eg. my generated message has one(MSH,PID,PV1,ORM) for one row of data in my Database. The same MSH,PID, PV1 and ORM are getting generated multiple times.
If you are seeing the same data generated in your output directory multiple time, the most likely cause is that you are not doing anything to indicate to your database that a given record has been processed.
For example, if you have 1 record in your database: ["John", "Smith", "12134" ...] on the first poll, you will generate 1 message. If on the second poll you also have a second record ["Fred", "Jones", "98371" ...], you will generate TWO messages - one for John Smith and one for Fred Jones. And so on.
The key is to use the "Run On-Update Statement" of your Database Reader (Source) connector to update the database table you are polling with an indication that a given record has been processed. This ensures that the same record is not processed multiple times.
This requires that your source table have some kind of column to indicate the record has been processed. Mirth will not keep track of this for you - you must do it manually.
You can't have a file reader as a destination, so I assume you mean file writer. You say that "the size of my file in my destination is increasing." Is that a typo? Do you mean NOT increasing?
If it is increasing, then your messages are getting generated and you can view them to start your next round of troubleshooting...
If not, the you should look at the message log in the dashboard to see what is happening on a message-by-message basis - that would be the next place to troubleshoot.
You have to have a way of distinguishing what records to pull from the database by filtering on some sort of status flag or possible a time-stamp. Then, you have to use some sort of On-Update statement to mark these same records as processed.
i.e.
Select id, patient, result from results where status_flag='N'
or
Select * from results where status_flag = 'N' and created_date >= '9/25/2012'
Then, in either a transformer step or the On-Update section of your Source, you would do something like:
Update results
set status_flag = 'Y' where id=$(id)
If you do not do something like this and you have Mirth polling at a certain interval, it will just keep pulling the same records over and over.
You have to change your connector type as Database reader in source.
You have to change your connector type as file writer in the destination.
And you can write your data in the file, For which you have access to write.
while creating HL7 template you have to use the following code in outbound message template
MSH|^~\&|||

Passing Parameters To report using url address

I'm developing some reports for Main Page in Dynamics Ax, however the problem i've got is connected with SSRS. Typical scenario i have report A and report B, i need to open report A when clicking on report B. Opening report itself is correct, but passing parameters is more tricky. After some research i got to the point when I want to run report A in browser using the adress
http://(server address)/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=/Dynamics/Reports.VendorsOpenTransactionsCount.AutoDesign1&rs:Command=Render&VendOpenTrans_dataAreaID=dor&VendOpenTrans_p1=2011-07-21&VendOpenTrans_p2=2011-07-21
and then i get report displayed(main window) but non of the parameters are validated into proper textboxes, and changing the value of them doesn't have any impact.
can anyone here help me with that "challenge"
Actually, I believe the critical difference is whether you are passing parameters (via URL) to a report that is using database engine or the SSAS - the analytical engine as a data source.
If your data source is the analytical engine then your parameter should be given in the 'dimension format', rather than in the precise format, like &parmname=140, etc. Allow me to explain using specific example and using SSAS data source for this illustration (there is plenty of solutions available on the net for the database engine based solution, including Microsoft postings).
My server name is FRELASM.
So, I have SSAS data source called DealerSource (not visible here).
I have parameter defined in the parameter's section of the SSRS as: #DwDimDealerCorpDlrNbr
In SSAS I have the following dimension:
[Dw dim Dealer] that has attribute: [Corp Dlr Nbr] ==> giving: [Dw dim Dealer].[Corp Dlr nbr]
What I want is to show a report for a single dealer 'number' (but it is a text field, hence the leading zeros) equal to 00140. So, I am looking for Corporate dealer number=00140.
The parameter passing DOES NOT WORK if I use this [this would be find against database engine, but it does not work with SSAS).
What you need is this:
replace constant 00140 with [dimension].[attribute].[value]
do not use & character, rather replace it with: %26.
So, the working version is this.
Can you take a look at this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155391.aspx
It explains about when you can pass parameters via URL. Maybe your parameters are not set to Prompt for user input. HTH.
