How and where do I find the "Change Camera" and "Camera Flash on/off" icon used in the native camera application on the iPhone. I would like to use this in my camera overlay but I cannot find this icons anywhere. Can someone please tell me where I might find these icon or do I have to create them programmatically?
You could try the UIKit Artwork Extractor. Not sure if those images are in the iOS Simulator, but it's worth a try.

I am currently trying to implement the Sony Camera API within a photo capture app.
I wondered if it is possible to detect the orientation of the Sony Camera (I am using the DSC QX10). This means, I'd like to adjust the displayed Liveview on the screen of my iPhone depending on if the Sony camera is held in portait or landscape mode? (Currently I only achieved to implement the portrait view. In case I rotate the camera to landscape, the Liveview image on the iPhone is distorted.)
I hope my question is clear enough.
Best regards,
Josef
Please download latest Camera Remote API SDK beta(v1.50 or later) and check out the "liveviewOrientation" parameter in getEvent response.

I am making an application in landscape, but I need to open the photo gallery in the image. The photo gallery only opens in the portrait mode. Is there any way that the application can be limited to stay in the landscape mode except only for the photo gallery? Or can the photo gallery be opened in landscape?
Possibly, rotation of a view could help you. Have a look at CGAffineTransformMakeRotation.
But remember, it would affect your UIAlertView.
It is not possible because it is restricted by the framework, it will always open in portrait mode
Is it possible to reference the iOS core icons? For example, I want to place an Image View that has the search magnifying glass in it.
You cannot reference them directly, but you can extract the graphics from the simulator and use them in your app. See the UIKit Artwork Extractor on github. Run the app in both retina and non-retina simulators and dump out all the iOS graphic files.
Is it possible to take a picture programmatically from the device camera without showing the view finder on an application screen in BlackBerry?
No, you must start the camera preview and display it on a Screen before a photo can be taken programmatically.
I have using a plugin to show an UIImagepickercontroller as a subview in my iphone/ipod app. In iPad i get an error that says i should use a popover instead. I'm using my own custom plugin in unity.
The popover works...but the size is too small, i would like to have a consistant experience and show the picker at full screen in the iphone as well.
It's possible to show the UIImagepicker at full screen in the iPad ?, or at least to force a bigger size for the popover ?.
I don't think it is, and if you manage to hack it, I don't think it increases your chances of getting app store approval.
You can build your own custom interface to access photos. Have a look at ALAssetsLibrary.
