Unable to have the author name in the report PDF using the NIPS 2015 LaTeX template - tex

I am using the nips 2015 template to write a report. I am unable to have the generated PDF reflect the authors’ names. It just says Anonymous.
I am using LaTeX workshop on a windows PC. PS: Overleaf also has the same issue.

uncomment the command
\nipsfinalcopy
That should show a non-anonymized version of the document.

Where to put own document class .cls file for Tex Live 2016

I understand that there are similar questions posted on stack overflow and elsewhere. But after a couple of trials and failures, I thought this could be a new version of an old question.
So with TexStudio 2.9.4 + Tex Live 2016 with Windows 10 system, my little project is to create my CV with a document class file res.cls.
I was told to put it under:
1. C:\Users\<user>\.texlive2016\textmf-config\textworks\scripts\LaTex Style, or some variations of it depending on what system. Yet, there is no folder like .\texlive2016 under C:\Users\<user>.
the texlive folder, which in my case is D:\Program files\texlive\textmf-local\tex\latex\local. It sounds sensible, yet not working.
Then I start to wonder if there's anything wrong with my editor. I switched from Tex Live 2015 to 2016, because there's no package update for 2015 version. Yet, I've reconfigured the Tex Studio to Tex Live 2016 (two red circles in the image below).
Is there anything wrong? Any thoughts? Thank you very much!
Execute kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFHOME which should give you c:\Users\<usr>\texmf.
Then install into tex\latex\<somedir>\, for example ...\local\.
.cls files are searched under tex\latex

HP Fortify Audit Workbench v4 Generation of PDF Report

I have a .fpr report generated by HP Fortify scan. I am able to open it in Audit Workbench. Now, i want to generate a PDF report from this which list all the issues with the file names, source snippet and line numbers.
I have tried various options from Audit Workbench Report Generation, but don't seem to find the right combination for being able to do so.
Can someone help me out on this? Thanks a lot in advance!
Try this command:
ReportGenerator -format XML -f abcd.xml -source abcd.fpr
I was able to generate all the issues into PDF and i think the same approach can be taken for other formats than pdf. The trick was to unchek the "Limit number of issues in each group"
Open Audit Workbench. Click Tools > Generate Legacy Report

How to convert ODT to DOC/RTF without openoffice.org

Is there any way to convert odt documents to doc or rtf on linux without openoffice or any library that relies on having openoffice installed ?
OpenOffice.org and its derivatives (LibreOffice, Symphony, etc) currently have one of the best converters between ODF and the Microsoft formats (besides the ODF support built into MS Office).
If those converters are not an option for you, you can choose between some alternatives: Foremost you might want to check out the KOffice project which also offers command line tools for file conversion:
KOffice - File Filters
Then there is another open source project with a free BSD license available on SourceForge:
OpenXML/ODF Translator
This project offers not only add-ins for Microsoft Office, but also a stand-alone command line version which also runs on Linux.
Then there would also be a different approach: You can automate Google Docs using command line tools:
googlecl: Command line tools for the Google Data APIs
Google Docs file conversion have internally been based on the OpenOffice.org file filters, but as far as I know they have been replaced by Aspose, a library for document formats.
Aspose is available in several versions, and as you have a Linux dependency you might want to check out their Java version.
Aspose.Words for Java
The library has its price, but you won't find another library that is not a full office suite with that quality.
If you don't want to use OpenOffice, Google Docs is your best bet. Cross-platform, web-based, and free, it takes about 2 minutes. You would upload the file, and check convert, then redownload as a doc or pdf (depends on what you want).
http://docs.google.com/
You could try this freeware (Docx2Rtf) and run it under WINE.
Checkout unoconv. It relies on OpenOffice.org its core, but it doesn't rely on any GUI packages. I assume this is what you want?
Use http://zamzar.com/ It has great support for all those formats. And is not reliant on any other installed program.
And of course, being a web page, it will work on any OS.

MikTeX 2.8 doesn't add hyphenation support for pdfLaTeX

I'm using MikTeX 2.8 edition, and installed the hungarian language support and hyphenation files. Using the standard LaTeX command they work fine, but when I try to use pdfLaTeX, they don't get loaded and I get the
(C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\magyar.ldf
(C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\babel.def)
Package babel /b/c12/cWarning:/b/c0/c No hyphenation patterns were loaded for
(babel) the language `Magyar'
(babel) I will use the patterns loaded for \language=0 instead.
message. Using latex it works fine:
(C:\stuff\miktex\tex\latex\00miktex\bblopts.cfg)
(C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\magyar.ldf
(C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\babel.def)))
I tried updating the FNDB and the Formats, but to no avail.
I had the same problem in Windows 7. I installed MikTeX and configured the hyphenation languages under administrator account and when I started to use pdflatex under my own account, it turned out that it did not detect the languages that I had added in the MikTex Settings (Admin) application.
The solution was to run MikTex Settings under my own account (i.e. the non-Admin program in Start Menu) and click the button "Update Formats".
I have the same problem with MiKTeX 2.8, babel, pdflatex and language "portuguese".
Regular latex works fine.
Went back to MiKTeX 2.7 and the problem doesn't happen.
Removing MikTeX 2.8 and cleaning the registry by hand, then reinstalling it solved the problem. (simply removing and reinstalling didn't solve it)
First find out language.dat file under your installation. Then find there a string like %magyar bla-bla-bla, remove comment (% mark), or, if there is no such line in that file - add it. Bla-bla-bla stands for the exact name of file with hyphenation table, you should google of how does that called.
Then run "update formats" from the miktex options menu, BUT - do that for the Options, and NOT for Options (Admin) menu.
Good luck!

extracting getfptex batch file

while loading getfptex(got it from CTAN) batch file ,when i'm extracting this batch file i'm getting series of statements saying "No Such directory" Can
anyone please help me with this.
Thank you.
Well, CTAN is the Tex archive, suggesting the getfptex is a Tex or Latex package. A quick google suggests (to me) that it's used to help download Tex via DOS / Windows. If this is what you want to do can I actually suggest you download and install MikTex. It's a very good package for creating Tex or Latex documents on Windows and is what I use.
