Google Cloud Tools for Visual Studio 2019 no longer deploying to Gcloud - google-cloud-tools

In the past 2 weeks I have tried installing the Google Cloud Tools extension into Visual Studio 2019 and 2022 without success. The latest published version in the MS extension store will install just fine, but when launching VS 2019 it gives an extension error and fails to load. With VS 2022 it loads and you can try to publish to Gcloud however, it immediately says failed to deploy and does not actually try to do anything. It feels like an updated broken extension on either google or Microsoft. I found others on blogs having the same issues lately with the same errors and no suggestions from google.
In Visual Studio 2019 the error is as follows on a New OS install of windows 10 or 11, with a fresh install of VS 2019.:
<type>Error</type>

To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.

On Windows 10/11 with a fresh install of VS 2022, there is no error produced when trying to deploy using the Google Deploy tool. It only says failed to deploy without reason int he log window. Others are reporting this same issue online on forums now as well. It looks like Microsofts latest VS updates or Google Cloud Tool updates have broke soemthing.

This site can’t be reached [site]'s server DNS address could not be found. ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
I have used both visual studio 2012 and VS community 15.
The MVC 4 version of my project site had been running fine.
I am rebuilding in asp.net 4.61 MVC 5, to avoid the regular clashes with version types and stopping nuget updating me into a problem.
Using the default template for 4.61 MVC 5 I have an app that VS 15 can run.
The old site gives the following error and displays the favicon when run through VS and IIS.

error, so I'm parking it rather than getting archaeological.
Currently the sites are bound to a host name and port number, * IP Address.
I have checked SO questions:
IIS 10 500.19 error
and
How to run ASP.NET MVC app in IIS 10 on Windows 10
among others.
Any ideas?
It feels like it's something simple but I can't see it for trying.
Try running ipconfig /flushdns from the command line, worked for me!
Did you check security for your app folder? IIS_IUSRS must have read and execute rights, at least.

reference to microsoft.visualstudio.services.common

I am developing a mvc asp.net app to extract some data from a TFS server. After deploying it to an IIS8, when I try to execute the action that connects to the TFS, I get the following message:
[FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Services.Common, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.]
overlord.Utils.TFSServer..ctor(String uri, NetworkCredential credential) +0
overlord.Utils.TFSServer..ctor() +25
overlord.Utils.TFSManager.GetServer(String sessionId) +59
overlord.Controllers.BacklogController.Index() +33
...
the application works when I debug it on Visual Studio 2013 locally and there's nothing on my code that references microsoft.visualstudio.services.common.
Can you guys help me figure out why the server is trying to load this lib?
You need to have at least Team Explorer installed on your web server to use the API to yall to TFS.

Azure web role not starting

I have a web role that will not start up when I deploy to Azure. Does anyone have any advice on the following windows event log...
Application: CacheDumpGenerator.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException
Stack:
at <Module>.RdGetLocalResource(UInt16*, _RD_RESOURCE**)
at <Module>._LOCALRESOURCE.GetLocalResourceW(UInt16*, _LOCALRESOURCE**)
at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime.Internal.InteropRoleManager.GetLocalResource(System.String, Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime.Internal.InteropLocalResource ByRef)
at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime.RoleEnvironment.GetLocalResource(System.String)
at Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.AzureCommon.AzureUtility.GetLocalStoreDirectory()
at Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.AzureCommon.AzureStartupLogger.InitializeTraceProvider()
at Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.AzureCommon.AzureStartupLogger.get_TraceProvider()
at Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.AzureCommon.AzureStartupLogger.WriteLog(System.String, System.Diagnostics.TraceEventType, System.String)
at Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.CacheDumpGenerator.ProcessDump.Main(System.String[])
I've just upgraded the web role to MVC4 from MVC3 which had worked fine. The application runs fine locally. I have just upgraded Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Configuration v2.
If you can establish a remote desktop connection with the machine, then do that and, rather than just looking in the Event Viewer, open up IIS Manager and browse to your website.
For me, this will often show an ASP.NET yellow screen error identifying any required files that have not been included within your deployed Azure package. You should mark those files as "Copy Local=true" and redeploy - you may need to do this a number of times to catch all of the missing files.

Running IntelliTrace on a box without Visual Studio on a Managed Windows Service

I keep getting the same error when attempting to run IntelliTrace on a Managed Windows Service under a 64 bit installation of Windows 7

The article that I referenced as the source: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/msaffer/archive/2011/02/23/using-intellitrace-with-services.aspx
Has anyone attempted this with much success?
The MSDN blog post you referenced assumes you have VS 2010 installed on the box. Intellitrace is not supported without VS 2010. In fact, the CLSID in your error message points to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Team Tools\TraceDebugger Tools\TraceLogProfiler.dll", which is apparently part of VS intallation.
There is another blog post here that claims to have solved the problem. You can try that.

asp.net site dying as it starts up for unknown reason that I think has to do with VS 2010RC

Environment:
Win 7x64, VS 2010 RC, Resharper 5 beta, MVC2 RC, git
When I reboot my machine, my website, configured in IIS, seems to be fine. As soon as I load VS, and try and debug from it, the site becomes completely unresponsive. I can't even get it to serve images. I have the website in IIS pointed directly to the folder with my web project in it, so that I can debug easily.
At this point, closing VS doesn't help. Neither does resetting IIS (stop/start World Wide Publishing Service). Killing the Intellitrace process doesn't help either.
The site was working ok until pretty recently. Strangely, it initially seemed to be a sporadic bug, and now it's constant.
As for what I have to go on, I have the following things being logged to the application event log. They're in this order, which means the bottom ones happened first:
.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Failed to CoCreate profiler.
TraceLog Profiler failed initialization, process w3wp.exe
The TraceLog Profiler in process w3wp.exe failed to get configuration from the logger. (w3wp.3xe)
Closing Visual Studio at this point yields the following two additional events:

I've removed everything from the tag in my web.config. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Have you tried doing a repair on your IIS, .NET Framework, or VS2010 installs?
