How to "serve" Dart web app from Github codespace? - dart

I've created a Github Codespace, trying so serve a web app, using webdev serve.
The project is nothing more than the default web template that comes with the Dart CLI tool. I've installed Dart and the webdev tool in my codespace.
But I'm getting the following error when I try to open the web app in my browser using port forwarding.

What can I do to fix this?

get jmx attributes with jolokia telegraf

I have a JAVA application which I want to monitor its JMX attributes using telegraf tool.
The tool provides jolikia plugin to monitor JMX attributes. I have added following dependencies to my app's pom.xml file regarding Maven section of Jolokia documentation:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.jolokia</groupId>
<artifactId>jolokia-core</artifactId>
<version>1.3.7</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.jolokia</groupId>
<artifactId>jolokia-client-java</artifactId>
<version>1.3.7</version>
</dependency>
This is my /etc/telegraf/telegraf.conf file:
[[inputs.jolokia]]
context = "/jolokia/"
[[inputs.jolokia.servers]]
name = "wr-core"
host = "192.168.100.175"
port = "1998"
[[inputs.jolokia.metrics]]
name = "send_success"
mbean = "wr-core:type=monitor,name=execution"
attribute = "MessageSendSuccessCount"
The application is up in the provided IP/port (I can connect to it with jconsole). The application has a monitoring section which its object name (as shown in jconsole) is wr-core:type=monitor,name=execution and has the attribute MessageSendSuccessCount. But when I start telegraf service, following error occurs:
Jan 14 14:30:32 ZiZi telegraf[17258]: 2018-01-14T11:00:32Z E! Error in plugin [inputs.jolokia]: error performing request: Error decoding JSON response: invalid character '\x00' looking for beginning of value:
Note that 1998 is my app's jmx port. I also tried using 8778 which is jolokia-agent port; got:
Jan 14 14:40:03 ZiZi telegraf[9150]: 2018-01-14T11:10:03Z E! Error in plugin [inputs.jolokia]: error performing request: Post http://192.168.100.175:8778/jolokia/: dial tcp 192.168.100.175:8778: getsockopt: connection refused
EDIT 1:
I have checked my CLASSPATH and both jolokia-client and jolokia-core were listed: ../lib/jolokia-client-java-1.3.7.jar:../lib/jolokia-core-1.3.7.jar.
EDIT 2:
I have put following lines into my app's execution file:
JOLOKIA_OPTS=-javaagent:$LIB_PATH/jolokia-core-java-1.3.7.jar=port=8778,host=0.0.0.0
JAVA_OPTS="-mx4096M $JAVA_OPTS $JACOCO_OPTS $JOLOKIA_OPTS"
But when I run the file, I get this error (even though ../lib/jolokia-core-java-1.3.7.jar has been listed in the CLASSPATH):
Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : ../lib/jolokia-core-java-1.3.7.jar
Error occurred during initialization of VM
agent library failed to init: instrument
Found the solution.
I have skipped maven solution and tried the javaagent approach, but I had misunderstood the usage of javaagent previously; I should address jolokia jvm agent (this helped):
JOLOKIA_OPTS=-javaagent:/root/jolokia-jvm-1.3.7-agent.jar=port=8778,host=0.0.0.0
JAVA_OPTS="-mx4096M $JAVA_OPTS $JACOCO_OPTS $JOLOKIA_OPTS"
Now, my app starts with this log (successfully):
I> No access restrictor found, access to any MBean is allowed
Jolokia: Agent started with URL http://192.168.100.175:8778/jolokia/
In the other side there is no error in the telegraf console for jolokia anymore.
All the observation are implying the jolokia jvm library has been started and works successfully.
I have also found jolokia jmx documentation for using it as dependencies in the project; but since I'm not a JAVA expert (I'm testing the app), I prefer to currently use the javaagent approach and leave it for future study/experience. BTW, it may help the others.
EDIT 1:
I have found and deployed jolokia jvm agent using its spring support.
Configuring it in the spring XML file, I can now have jolokia jvm agent start listening at my app's startup.

Angular - Error: [$injector:unpr] Unknown provider: IdleProvider

Getting the error Error: [$injector:unpr] Unknown provider: IdleProvider in my application when it is deployed to our staging server using dokku but I am not getting it when running it on my local machine. I'm using ng-idle 1.2.1
I've found this question asked a number of times but the cause was always related to the changes made in version 1.0.0 where the service names were changed. The only thing I can think of is that the minification of the code is the problem but as far as I can see the code should be ok but I am not an expert. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's written in Coffeescript
configuration = (RestangularProvider, $logProvider, growlProvider, IdleProvider, KeepaliveProvider) ->
.
.
.
return
configuration.$inject = [
'RestangularProvider'
'$logProvider'
'growlProvider'
'IdleProvider'
'KeepaliveProvider'
]
angular
.module 'vssApp.config', [
'restangular'
]
.config configuration
EDIT
While trying to replicate the problem on my local machine I removed the 'ngIdle' module in the modules array below. This resulted in the same behavior so I am assuming that the problem stems from the ngIdle module not being loaded correctly here. I still feel that minification could be causing the problem but, again, I'm not sure why or how to fix it.
modules = [
'ui.router'
'ui.bootstrap'
'ui.select'
'ngAnimate'
'ngMessages'
'ngSanitize'
'ngCookies'
'smart-table'
'angularMoment'
'templates'
'angular-storage'
'angular-growl'
'vssApp.core.auth'
'vssApp.core.loading'
'ngIdle'
'cgPrompt'
'vssApp.filters'
]
runBlock.$inject = [
'$templateCache'
]
angular
.module 'vssApp.core', modules
.run runBlock
EDIT 2
Here's the full output from the error message I'm getting
Error: [$injector:modulerr] Failed to instantiate module vssApp due to:

A rule of thumb is to load modules dependencies in each place where they are used. This allows to decouple them. And this eliminates race condition with service provider injection.
If the app looks like this
angular.module('vssApp', ['vssApp.config', 'ngIdle', ...])..
angular.module('vssApp.config', ['restangular'])...
service provider for Idle service is not defined at the time when vssApp.config module is loaded.
While this
angular.module('vssApp', ['ngIdle', 'vssApp.config', ...])
angular.module('vssApp.config', ['restangular'])...
avoids race condition but still indicates code smell.
It should be
angular.module('vssApp.config', ['restangular', 'ngIdle'])...
This issue applies to service providers only and config phase. Service instances can be injected for any module order.
Finally found the cause and solution to this, it seems to have been a bower issue.
It's a Rails app, so I specified ng-idle 1.2.1 in the bower.json file but for some reason the bower file was ignored when the app was being deployed using Dokku and the last installed version 0.3.5 remained, which meant that the pre-1.0.0 ng-idle services naming convention was still being used where all service names were preceded with a $. This resulted in the Unknown provider: IdleProvider error because $IdleProvider was the actual service name.
In the end I had to connect to the docker container and remove and reinstall all bower components. Running bower update as part of the deployment was not enough for some reason. When I have more time I will investigate what caused this behavior and I will report here.
