Can't user Custom Work Item Form in TFS 2018 Web portal

I'm creating new User Story (WIT), I have installes tool: Process Editor under VS2018, connected to the project and exported WIT ( User Story ) then i have made some changes. While using previe window under VS2019 i see that changes has been made:
But while using Web portal i can't see my changes, there is only default Agile User Story view:
I have found information what could be the problem ( Enable the new form found on M$): https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/reference/manage-new-form-rollout?view=tfs-2017&viewFallbackFrom=azure-devops
I've checked all permissions and groups I'm in, inclding Administrator groups, for projects, whole collection ext. On the M$ web site is information that i should click "Enable the new work item form" to be able to use customization i did. But i don't have this option :( :
Can you please tell me what Am I doing wrong ? What have I missed ?
TFS2018 installed on premise.
Thanks.
Please take a look at this ticket: TFS work items opened inside Visual Study no longer open in the web browser, they always open in the Visual Studio editor
According to the response from MSFT:
We have re-design the default landing page for work items in Visual
Studio 2019 which only works with server >= 2019. If server is <
2019, work items will be open in Visual Studio only.
Since you are using TFS 2018 with VS2019, you may have to open work item in web portal from browser directly right now.
But work item in Visual Studio IDE is still using the old Layout forms. Work item in Web Portal is using the new layout. That's why you have seen different behavior.
The using of the new work item form is already updated in your server. On VS you see the old style but on web you have the new style. On the Process editor download page you can find the following:
Process Template: Open and edit a process template (you can only edit
the old-style work item forms, those that don’t reflect the new web
layout)
To update the new form check this page: New web form layout-WebLayout and Control elements

Visual Studio 2015 can't show data tables

I have recently installed visual studio 2015 community edition.
I created a small web app in asp.net mvc. I was able to connect and save data in the localdb.
But when I connect to localdb through the server explorer, and right click on a table, I only get the options 'copy', 'refresh' and 'properties'.
Coming from visual studio 2013, there i got the option 'show data'.
So how do i show the database tables in vs2015, what am i missing?
thank you in advance.

Work Item Only View in TFS 2013 Express

How do I set up a work item only view in TFS 2013 Express?
There is no such a group built in.
"Work Item Only View" has been replaced by a "Limited" view in Team Web Access.
See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj159364.aspx#how_to for more information on how to change it.
If you're not seeing it, it could be that you're not at the root administration page for TFS, or you're not an administrator. Try going directly to http(s)://[server]/tfs/_admin/_licences.
I suggest you to access Team Explorer, included in Visual Studio
You must connect by entering Server Url , Team Project Collection & Team Project
You have also easy solution by Add In On Excel (Add In Excel is installed with Team Explorer), Open WIQL query writetd on your Portal for example
On 2013 you have new organization on your Team Explorer, if you don't find you can use search engine

How to add a custom State for WorkItems in Visual Studio Team Services

I'm using Visual Studio Team Services (http://visualstudio.com/), with Visual Studio 2012.
I'd like to add a new State Value for WorkItems. After a search I discover that i can edit the process template to achieve that. I've tried the menu item "Team\Team Project Collection Settings\Process Template manager", but i'm getting the following message:
Visual Studio could not retrieve your user permissions from Team Foundation Server.
Contact your Team Foundation Server administrator to determine the cause of the error and the steps to correct the problem.
If the problem persists, contact Microsoft Product Support Services
Details: Access Denied: marlon.brum#gmail.com needs the following permission(s) on the resource $ to perform this action: Administer
I've added my user to every adminstrator group i've found in tfs configuration, for the project and the collection, but i keep getting that message.
How can i add a custom state to WorkItems in Visual Studio Team Services?
Please note that the UI of VSTS has recently been changed. I'm updating my answer to reflect the latest changes but keeping an older copy too!
Update: As of 17th Oct 2018, on Team Services:
Account Home - Click on the Azure DevOps icon in the upper left corner.
Organization Settings - Click on this link in the lower left corner
Process - Click on Process in Boards Group in the list of settings
Select your process
Select the Work Item Type you want add the new state to
Click on States Menu item on the top
Click New State button
Adding a Gif below
For those who are still on the older UI , on Team Services...
Account Home - Click on the team services icon in the upper left
corner.
Process - Mouse over the Gear icon and choose Process
Choose the process you are working in
Click on Product Backlog Item type
Click on the States tab (between Layout and Rules)
Click the New State link
Account Home can be accessed by clicking on the Azure DevOps icon (previously Team Service) in the top-left corner. This page is also the home page of you account and can be accessed by directly jumping using the URL. For example: youraccountname.visualstudio.com/
Process can be accessed from the UI as mentioned in steps above or by using the direct URL youraccountname.visualstudio.com/_settings/process
Hope it helps!
Thanks Microsoft for making it available!

Cons: •Can’t customize process template or workitem templates
So it is not possible to add new states on Team Foundation Services.
Nevertheless, "Team\Team Project Collection Settings\Process Template manager" just allows you to up- and download Process Templates, where you can edit the WIT XMLs. A more comfortable way is to use/install TFS PowerTools and use the WIT Editor "Tools -> Process Editor -> Work Item Types -> Open WIT from Server/File".
This feature is not supported by Visual Studio Team Services. It seems this is causing a lot of people (including myself) problems. See here for the (planned) feature request.
I suspect the reason for your permission error is not that you haven't assigned the right permission, but rather that the permission is not available to be assigned.
You need Team foundation Server Admin rights to execute witadmin tasks.
What probably you mean by following is that you have added yourself to default collection admin/project admin.
I've added my user to every adminstrator group i've found in tfs configuration, for the project and the collection,
For that you have two options:
Either request your TFS admin to do this activity for you.
Request you TFS Admin to add you to the TFS Admin Group using TFS Admin Console.

Can't find reports in Team Foundation Server 2010

I have recently setup TFS 2010 and am trying to access the reporting feature. TFS is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 and I am accessing TFS using Visual Studio 2010.
From what I have seen on the web, I should have a reports option in Team Explorer or from the Team menu in Visual Studio. I don't have this option at all. I have seen MSDN articles saying the option may have a red cross next to it, but I don't see at all.
From the TFS Admin console, reporting seems to be setup. All three options (Warehouse, Analysis Services and Report Server) have a green tick and say "Configured".
If I access the reports URL, I get a web interface but there are no out-of-the-box reports.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The problem was that the default reports folder location had not been set. I only noticed by clicking through all the screens in desperation.
Open the TFS Admin Console, go to Application Tier > Team Project Collections. Then in the Reports Folder tab at the bottom make sure you have set a value. I just used the default example which was /TfsReports/DefaultCollection.
You don't see the folder "Reports" in this view?
Do you have a screen like this?
