How to embed YouTube live chat with super chat/stickers option enabled? - youtube

On YouTube, the live chat have options to super chat/stickers or to be a member.
Clicking on "$" opens the options to support the creator
Is it possible to get the same in the embedded YouTube live chat? Currently, if we embed using the following
<iframe width="340" height="761.63" src="https://www.youtube.com/live_chat?v=jfKfPfyJRdk&dark_theme=1&embed_domain=localhost" frameborder="0" title="YouTube live chat"></iframe>
It doesn't have option to support in the embeded chat.
Didn't find any significant information about embedding live chat and their options in the google developer docs.
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2524549?hl=en#zippy=%2Cembed-live-chat

Interesting, you can even see when you pop out the chat, meaning that it should in theory be the exact same as the live chat, but doesn't have those stickers/channel subscription options.
My best guess is that this is no mistake by YouTube knowing their attention to detail, so perhaps it is to discourage streamers from hosting their streams on another platform, eg. their own site, by disabling this option on embeds.
There is also the possibility that because superchats/stickers etc involve payment, YouTube doesn't want to permit payment through embeds on another site, as this may lead to scam sites which pretend to use the 'official' superchat features, but in reality, just scam its users once they enter their payment information.

Violating the Device and Network Abuse policy when add YouTube

My application has been removed from google play and I do not understand the problem or how to solve it. I use the YouTube API to display videos and follow all the guidelines to do so.
First, an email came with the text: "Your app shouldn't access or use the service or API in a manner that violates its terms of service. For example, your app shouldn't download, monetize, or access YouTube videos in a way that violates the YouTube Terms of Service. "
Upon appeal, I received the following response: "For example, your app currently contains copyrighted contents from YouTube without consent from the contents' owners. You can refer to the attached screenshot for additional information."
The screenshot is just one of the videos in my application. But wait, I have added everything according to the YouTube guidelines, and there is also a direct quote from the rules.
License to YouTube
By providing Content to the Service, you grant to YouTube a worldwide,
non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to
use that Content (including to reproduce, distribute, modify, display
and perform it) for the purpose of operating, promoting, improving the
Service.
License to Other Users
You also grant each other user of the Service a worldwide,
non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access your Content through the
Service, and to use that Content (including to reproduce, distribute,
modify, display, and perform it) only as enabled by a feature of the
Service.
Which means that if embedding is enabled by the author of the channel, then I can embed his videos in my application. So what's the problem then?
Has anyone encountered this? I use the official YouTube player, maybe I didn't notice something and now any embedding is prohibited? But the rules say you can!

Is it legal to use Youtube Data API to create youtube-like app that aggregrate youtube videos from any channel?

i'm planning to create some app that use youtube-api.
Is it legal to use Youtube Data API to create youtube-like app that aggregrate youtube videos from any channel? even it is not my channel or my video? Can I (legally) monetize those app with Admob?
Your question is answered in the first paragraph of the YouTube API Terms of Service.
1. Is it legal to use Youtube Data API to create youtube-like app that aggregrate youtube videos from any channel?
The terms don't prohibit it, as long as the client is compliant with the ToS. So, yes, it is legal.
2. Can I (legally) monetize those app with Admob?
It depends.
You agree not to use the YouTube API for any of the following commercial uses unless You obtain YouTube's prior written approval: [...] the sale of advertising, sponsorships, or promotions on any page of the API Client containing YouTube audiovisual content, unless other content not obtained from YouTube appears on the same page and is of sufficient value to be the basis for such sales.
I'm not an expert in law questions, but what this says (imho) is that you may advertise your application if it does not solely contain YouTube content. In other words, your application has to extend the functionality of https://youtube.com, not recreate it.
In any case, you may not block or in any way alter in-player ads.
Conclusion
Based on the short concept of your app you posted in the question, I would say:
You may build "youtube-like app that aggregrate youtube videos from any channel", but
you may not advertise it, since it does not feature original content.
if you plan to publish this on app store please review the IOS Guide Lines
5.2.3 Audio/Video Downloading: Apps should not facilitate illegal file sharing or include the ability to save, convert, or download media
from third-party sources (e.g. Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud,
Vimeo, etc.) without explicit authorization from those sources.
Streaming of audio/video content may also violate Terms of Use, so be
sure to check before your app accesses those services. Documentation
must be provided upon request.

How to use youtube api to prevent advertorials

I have build a website for my customer with embedded you tube movies. Therefore I'm using a lot of API functions. Somehow while playing a movie, commercials of concurrent company's appear.
My customer claims it has to be my used code... I belief you have to set-up your you tube channel and ad sense channel correct but you cannot prevent it completely because you tube permit double click to show commercials also...
It's not: who is right or wrong but I need to know how to prevent Ads while playing.
I hope someone could share Some knowledge with me.
Have a nice day.
Best,
Roy
You simply can't prevent ads when you play a video.
We can see in the Terms of Service of YouTuve API in the part prohibitions :
modify, replace, interfere with or block advertisements placed by YouTube in the YouTube Data, YouTube audiovisual content, or the
YouTube player;
So, if ou want use the YouTube API Players, you can't add a system to block advertissement.

How do I use YouTube API to upload private videos for a product that will be sold?

So I have a video product that I am about to start selling. Once people pay, they will be able to download the videos, or ideally stream it via YouTube.
But...I don't want them to be able to share the link with every Tom, Dick and Harry.
I know that an unlisted video can still be made public, so that won't work for me. But apparently there can be 'private videos' too.
Where can I learn more about this in the API docs? Or what is the best way to approach this? Especially given that I don't want them to have to have a Google+ account.
Ideally, they should be able to login to my app, and watch the embedded videos there. But they should not be able to share the direct YouTube link.
I know they can always share their account info, that's fine...I will do other things to keep track of and monitor that. It's really the anonymous sharing of the YouTube link I am worried about.
Thanks.
Read the API terms of service and check with your legal folks. Specifically, you will want to make sure that your sale of private content uploaded to YouTube is in compliance with #2 in the Terms of Service:
You agree not to use the YouTube API for any of the following
commercial uses unless You obtain YouTube's prior written approval:
the sale of the YouTube API, API Data, YouTube audiovisual content or
related services, or access to any of the foregoing;

Apple store app - rules on external links / url

I am a bit confused concerning the rules of external links / url.
I am making a Native app. Its a free app. I would like to put it in the Apple store.
Its a cooking app with recipes and instruction videos. The app links to a youtube instruction video on how to cook the dish you have selected.
Example: They push the button. They will leave the app and go directly to my youtube cooking video. (I am new to programming and I think this would probably be the easiest way to do it)
Will they reject my app because I link to my youtube video?
No, that is definitely allowed. You can open the page in a UIWebView so it remains in the app, or have the page open in the Safari browser.
You can link to as many websites as you would like, as long as you aren't somehow breaking copyright (you aren't) or linking to inappropriate sites.
If I could make a suggestion, if you have not learned about the UIWebView class yet, you should look into it for this. It allows you to load web pages from within your app. This would be a lot better for you because users could remain in your app while watching your youtube cooking videos. There are plenty of tutorials available online, and the official documentation is here.
