CheckSum Verification Server Selection - checksum

I have a self generated certificate imported into the keystore, a cryptographic hash algorithm written (SHA-256), and now need to run a CheckSum on it. When I did this previously in the course I got a list off errors in the spring release I could not figure out. This time I have not selected a server to run through Apache tomcat. The newest version I can load from Eclipse is tomcat v8.0 I cannot get the tomcat v9.0 to populate the finish button when I select it, but can click on NEXT. There is a little lightbulb next to localhost in the server host name.
This is my first time doing this and don't know how to shift through a lot of the information out there. Just looking for some images to follow step by step to see if tomcat v8.0 would work, or if someone can help load tomcat v9.0 in my IDE that would be nice as well. Tried following a few YouTube videos but there seems to be something missing versus how they go though it compared to how I do, mostly because the v9.0 wont install or just finish the process.

What reason and solution for WebConnector Error : "Update aborted. Company file is locked by another client ASP17"

I am using WebConnector version -2.1.0.30 with QuickBooks 2015 Enterprise.
WebConnector was working fine but all of a sudden when I run WebConnector and click on "Update Selected" button then it came up with this error (Note: by that time no one was logged on to QuickBooks).
Then as a quick fix I have deleted that QWC file and added a New one, that works fine.
Can any one please come up with a better solution and the reason behind this error.
Thanks in advance.
Chances are you're running QuickBooks on a shared Windows Server, or in a hosted scenario with someone like Right Networks, Intuit Cloud, Cloud9, etc.
If so, this error means that Windows Server auto-logged-out some user and closed QuickBooks for them, but is still holding the file lock on the QuickBooks company file. Windows will automatically release the file lock after a short amount of time (usually 30 minutes to an hour).
There is no "fix" outside of waiting for a while, and then trying again.

Trying to call svn.exe from batch file called by .NET webpage - odd results

The situation: I have a mvc.net web page which, when called, runs a batch file on my server using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start and cmd.exe. The batch file contains a line that runs "svn.exe update myfilepath" and should therefore update the files on the server.
What's happening?
- the batch file is running, but the call to svn.exe does nothing, nor produces any error messages.
- if I run the batch file by double clicking, the svn command DOES run successfully.
I guess this is a security issue, but I'm no expert on this and I cannot make any headway.
The site is hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 and the app pool is using the ApplicationPoolIdentity system. I have tried running the app pool as Network Service and also adding Network Service as a user that can Read/Execute to svn.exe.
Please help!
This could be proxy related. It's possible that you access the Internet via a proxy, but that the user profile for the app pool identity isn't configured like this. You may need to use a domain account that you can log on as in order to create a suitable user profile. You will also need to make sure IIS is loading the profile by ticking the appropriate option.
(Another possibility is that the working directory for the process you are starting is not set correctly to the root of your Subversion working copy. We've established this wasn't the problem in your case.)

grails embedded server functional testing needs to have valid ssl cert

I have been scouring the web for how to solve my problem with grails functional testing using embedded server + ssl, and would very much appreciate any help with the problem I'm having.
We have had good success so far testing our Grails webapp with Firefox using Selenium WebDriver 2. We run functional tests automatically from our Jenkins server (and sometime our local machines) using the functional-test plugin to start and stop our app, and the webdriver plugin in conjunction.
This line:
profile.acceptUntrustedCertificates = true
that is used for the profile of the new Firefox instance has been effective for us in making everything SSL totally valid as far as the browser is concerned during our tests with Firefox.
So, although that setup is working great with Firefox, we still need to run a parallel set of tests for IE 8, but I simply cannot figure out a way for webdriver to deal with the SSL warnings/obstacles of IE 8.
Because we are purely Mac (dev)/Linux (jenkins, etc) here, we run IE 8 in a Win 7 VirtualBox VM. Then from the Win 7 VM instance we run the standalone WebDriver server. It works fine up to the point where the test reaches the SSL part of our webapp, at which point I get the IE SSL warning page, and the test is derailed.
We bought a cheap godaddy SSL cert to use for this very reason, hoping to make IE happy, but I have not been able to figure out a way to make our certificate appear as valid and CA signed one, rather than just self-signed. When I examine the certificate in Chrome for example, it does show my certificate, but also that it is self signed. It's CN is along the lines of testbox.example.com and I have added to /etc/hosts the line: 127.0.0.1 testbox.example.com.
I generated the CSR with java keytool and then imported the resulting signed certificate, and intermediate certificate, cross certificate, etc, per the instructions on the godaddy site. I saw somewhere that grails requires it's keystore to retain the password 123456, which I have done.
I have done SSL configs successfully for regular servers, e.g. standalone glassfish and tomcat, but I have just really hit a wall on this issue.
Thanks!
Jamie
Another aproach:
You mentioned that changes in the IE settings don't work since the WebDriver creates a new IE instance.
IE stores a lot of settings in the windows registry. So "IE registry certificate" could be a good start to google your problem. Here is one promising result:
http://www.ehow.com/how_5024374_fix-certificate-error-internet-explorer.html
Since you run your IE in a virtual machine, I guess it is OK to disable the IE security features on this vm. Otherwise I have to admit that it's not a good idea to disable such a security feature by default.
For testing just install your certificate into IE 8.
See What do I need to do to get Internet Explorer 8 to accept a self signed certificate?
I know it's not a very clean solution, but out IE8 displays a warning that something is wrong with the certificate. This warning itself is a valid HTML page and your are able to click the link which says something like "ignore this, display the page".
You only have to this once for a session. So we simple have a small step in our tests which checks after invoking the first page if we get the error message. If yes, we automatically click the link and the rest works fine.
Again: I know it's not a clean solution. But it works for us. And having to configure the java keystores the right way can be a pain. :-)

How do I do an http request upon successful Inno Setup install, for tracking purposes?

When my program successfully installs via Inno Setup, how do I run a URL in the background? I want to just load a tracking pixel (or a postback) which says that my program was installed.
I'm aware than in the [Run] section, I can run a .url file with the flag "runhidden", but as far as I know that won't do what I need it to. Am I wrong about that, or are there better option?
Thank you.
There is no TCP/IP related Support Functions, defined by default.
You could build this functionality into a DLL and call it from you Install Script.
This is done installation's where Activation is required to make the program work.
However, I would just launch a browser window using the [Run] section that contains "Getting Started" information. You can then track hits to that page.

Rabbitmq erlang client build failed due to file paths problems?

I have been able to build rabbitmq server on ubuntu linux. It came already prepackaged and on making, it is able to start as a service. When i got the client source, i failed to make because it appeared like it needed a folder called ./deps/rabbitmq-server. Analysing the code, i find that the author of the client was accessing the same header files as are found in the server, using include_lib("path to rabbit.hrl e.t.c") in his header file called "amqp_client.hrl". I then decided to add rabbitmq_server in the lib dir of erlang so as its paths are automatically added on start up of the vm. But still this didnot help. There is also another folder which the client references called "rabbit_common" for an include folder he assumes would contain all the .hrl files there. Please assist me in building both the client and server on my ubuntu server, for testing.
Also, if anyone has used RabbitMQ server for IMs, please provide some benchmarks and/or your findings on its throughput, speed and number of users. How can it be compared to ejabberd?. How can one create AJAX/Jquery/Javascript clients for Web functionality?
thanks
I hope you had made some progress as far as RabbitMQ and ejabberd are concerned.
Below is a link to an interesting discussion that might be of help.
