Out of date files must be resolved or reverted. But I have no unresolved files - submit

So I resolved all files. No shown/known conflicts reported but I still can't submit.
Also looks like its trying to do a 223 revision but I see no 222 revision in history only 221.
What do I need to do to submit?
using P4V Client app.

Look at the full error message. It should be in P4V's log pane, but if you can't find it, go to the command line and retry the submit. The individual file that has a problem should be listed.
In some edge cases, there may be a file that is out of date but can't be resolved, so it must be reverted; if this is the case, the error mesage for that particular file will say so, and will explain why.

Seems like I had one file which was being picked up as new but already existed in repo. I narrowed down to the file by submitting files in chucks/one by one until I hit the file that was causing the error.
So I could submit all but one file and to fix the issue file I reverted the file and made sure it deleted it when I reverted (Note you may not want this and may not have to do that, revert may be fine).

Turn on extra log pane options (2 tick boxes) In Edit -> Preferences -> Logging to see the offending files listed in the Log on submit, revert those files and you should be right.

i had the same message of error and it resulted to be this annoying litle mistake in the color resource file: the double angle bracket, which by the way the compliler doesn't highlights
>#color/gris_oscuro
This is likely a problem in some resource file. I think it's very frustrating, the error message says "Check logs for more details" but I am not sure how to get the logs.
I had a similar problem and after many attempts I exited Studio, manually removed the build directory, and tried again. This time I did see a log, and they pointed at my strings.xml file, which I was able to fix.
By the way, I realized that if you run "Compile some_file.xml" from the Build menu, you'll get the error even if the error is somewhere else. So this is not helpful.
(FWIW, my error had to do with a single quote inside a [[CDATA]] block. I thought that Xml allows any text inside CDATA, but maybe Studio is less forgiving. Anyway, your error is probably something else, you'll just have to find it.)
I see here that people discuss how to get grade logs. I was not able to run gradlew from the terminal (I am on macOS) but that seems to be the official way to get lgs.
Check colors.xml and strings.xml file. I had error in colors.xml. I had written wrong color code of two colors. That is why I was getting this error.

How to disable Notepad++ Auto-open previous files without opening Notepad++?

How do I stop Notepad++ from loading all files from the past session?
I know how to do that settings in Notepad++, but the problem is that I once opened a very large file (>10GB) and made the Notepad++ hang up. Notepad++ has already marked that big file in the session and therefore hang up everytime I start the Notepad++. Is there a way I can stop it from loading the past session so it won't hang up every time?
P.S. I have received a report on possible duplicate with this question. This is obviously a different case. At least in that question the notepad++ still starts up normally while in my case I cannot even change the settings normally because the notepad++ just hang while loading the stored version. The answer to this question also provide a good way to change the settings without starting Notepad++, which will be useful in fixing problems caused by settings when the Notepad++ cannot starts normally.
Yes, you can change that setting by modifying the config file.
go to %appdata%\Notepad++
and open config.xml
You should find the following line in there:
<GUIConfig name="RememberLastSession">yes</GUIConfig>
just change it to no and that should do the trick.
Start from command line:
notepad++ -nosession
"Auto-open previous files" then should be disabled
This is for those who do not want to modify the XML config filess, and this will also work without having the Notepad++ in PATH.
As I do not have enough reputation to comment on other answers, I'll add on Jacques Hubart's comment, all credits should still be for him.
Open Windows Run (Windows + R)
Type in the full path to the Notepad++ EXE.
This would normally be C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe
Add the nosession parameter
Run
Preview:
If, like me, you left a huge file in the last session, you can also remove just the offending file from the session and keep the rest.
go to %appdata%\Notepad++ and open session.xml
Scroll to the right to see the filename. Be careful to keep the integrety of the XML by removing the entire "file" node. It should be on a single line.
There is also another way from GUI
In Settings/Preferences/Backup uncheck the "Remember current session for next launch"
As suggested use notepad++ -nosession from run to open notepad++. Then go to preferences --> Backup --> Uncheck Remember current session before next launch
Close notepadd++ and open it normally without run. It worked for me.
another possibility is that the window is on an other screen not visible anymore due to starting it in a new multimonitor setup.
in that case, you have to bring the windows in the visible area by:
select the window by Alt+Tab
Alt+Space opens a small menu in the top left corner
Arrow-Down and Enter selects ' Move'
Arrows brings it back

Umbraco says it's saved changes to templates but the changes are lost

Each time I make a change to an Umbraco template and press Save, I get the confirmation popup saying:
Template saved
Template saved without any errors!
However, when I return to that template (click on another template and then back again), the changes have been lost.
I've ensured that the user account running my IIS application pool has Full Control over the \Views folder containing the .cshtml files (i.e. the Umbraco templates).
Strangely this just started happening, after it had been letting me make template changes with no problems. I can manually edit the .cshtml files on disk, but this seems ridiculous.
Any ideas?
A couple of things:
1) Have you checked that the following Windows accounts have full permissions for all folders "IUSR", "IIS_IUSRS", "NETWORK SERVICE" ?
2) Probably not but I have had problems in the past with caching. Have you disabled (set from True to False) caching properties in /config/umbracoSettings.config ? This should always be done during development.
OK, I'll provide an answer for others' future reference (although the reasons are unclear to me). It appears the change I was making to my Template must've been deemed invalid by Umbraco - when I strip the template text down to just a single, empty div and save it, the change is persisted successfully.
The confusing thing is that Umbraco provides no feedback as to why it's not saving - in fact it tells you that it HAS saved successfully.
Bizarre and confusing.
Just been editing my templates and got this problem. Fixed it by doing the following:
sign out of umbraco
clear your browsing data
sign back into umbraco
always be sure to copy and paste your code somewhere to keep it safe, and it can be easily pasted back in. Seems like a bug to me... but it saved after I did that.

DeleteAttachment failing after plugin customization

I developed a simple plugin to bar files ending in .exe from being uploaded into my jira app. I overrode the AttachFile.doValidation() method to check for .exe in the filename. If it's there I return an error.
Now when I try to delete an attachment, 9 times out of 10 it won't work. I simply get the error "Failed to delete attachment with id {id}". Nothing in the stacktrace or logs indicated that something went wrong. Then it will suddenly delete succcessfully. I've found no rhyme or reason for this.
Again, I overrode AttachFile, not DeleteAttachment, so I don't know how my fix could be related to this problem. Could it be though??
If I remove my plugin entirely, I still get an error when I delete. The error says "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Java(TM) Platform SE binary". Somehow AttachFile() is leaving a reference to the file, but I have no clue where or how to clean up.
Permissions aren't the issue, because occasionally the delete command will work. It always works when the server first starts up, and after that only periodically.
We've come to the conclusion that this is a Windows-only problem, and Linux doesn't lock files. Our production server is Linux, so I'm not going to spend anymore time on this.

Xcode won't let me create a snapshot, because I don't exist

just tried to create a snapshot of one of my projects. It didn't work, and Xcode did throw the following error at me: "Unable to create a snapshot. fatal: You don't exist. Go away!"
Source control commit doesn't work either. Ok, obviously there's something wrong with my local repository. I don't have the slightest idea, what that could possibly be, though. I have not committed in quite a while, but except some updates to Xcode itself, nothing major happened to the project folder, as far as I can remember.
So, what can I do about it? Is it possible to deactivate source control for that project and then start over again with source control with the projects current status? I don't need the previous versions anymore, so that doesn't need to be taken care of.
Thank you!
Looking into the git source code, this error message is generated only if
pw = getpwuid(getuid());
fails.
It indicates that the system wasn't able to find an entry for your user account in /etc/passwd or equivalent.
This can happen if your account is removed (via deluser, userdel, or something else) while you're logged in, or if you don't have read permissions on /etc/passwd (the latter should never happen).
Try the following commands at a terminal prompt:
whoami
id
ls -l /etc/passwd
grep "^${USER}:" /etc/passwd
According to the git documentation, this is the meaning of your particular error:
You don't exist. Go away!
The passwd(5) gecos field couldn't be read
This typically means the system doesn't know who you are (you'll see this sort of error on a Linux system if you delete someone's user account while they're still logged in). Is everything else working? That is, can you log out and log back in without a problem? Do other terminal commands operate correctly? What about the id command?
Can you interact with your repository on the command line? What happens if you cd into the directory and try something like git status?
WendiKidd's solution of just starting from scratch is probably the simplest thing to do, assuming it works, but you'll lose any change history already associated with your project.
I had this issue with git and running
dscacheutil -flushcache
in the terminal fixed it.
I would suggest creating a new project entirely, copying your code etc. files out of the old project, and simply migrating over into a new one (which you could then recommit to another source control directory). That seems like the easiest solution; this is a very odd error, and I've come across things in the past that are either unfixable or would take more effort to fix than taking 10-15 minutes to just set up a new project.
So that's what I'd recommend--hopefully that will fix your problem, and whatever xcode is mad at is in some hidden file or the .xcodeproj itself, and not in the files you'd need to migrate over.
