The label of XAxis is overlapping in some cases, tried allowOverlap to false and text overflow properties but still same issue is there.
Please check the image shared with this, in the XAxis the label when the range of XAxis is set to 2:00 but value of 3:00 is coming extra. The data values used is correct upto 2:00 only.
I tried text overlap and text overflow properties, also tried setting the padding and columns width, still same issue persists. The range should not display next hour i.e. 3:00.

Having some issues with the rendering of the navigator in gantt chart.
First on initial rendering it shows a range from like 1970 to 2017 (end date in this chart)
Then if I collapse a node, then it sets its date range correctly and the range stays correct thereafter.
Note that I added min and max values to the xAxis just to make sure that the range was fully set.
So that is correct but the content isn't as expected, where I'm trying to emulate the base example and show a mini gantt. My content is:
I originally had a yAxis like in the example but getting essentially the same results.
I have a simple column chart where the yAxis series data contains numeric strings in the millions and tens of millions. The chart therefore displays the graph numbers like this: "12.5M"(on the side of the grid) and in the points tooltip it is being displayed with a decimal point at the end. How do I make the data be shown in the thousands with commas? Will the chart be adjusted automatically to display more grid lines and raise the columns higher? Thanks a lot in advance.
I would have added an image, however it seems that that requires more reputation points. Sorry. Here's a link to it Screenshot
1) you can change the formatting of the axis labels by setting your own format with the formatter function
http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#yAxis.labels.formatter
2) you can change the number of ticks by setting a tickInterval or tickPixel interval setting
http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#yAxis.tickInterval
http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#yAxis.tickPixelInterval
3) You can change how much extra space is added at the top/how many ticks there are, in part, by setting the maxPadding setting to 0
http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#yAxis.maxPadding
When you have a small chart like the one you posted, Highcharts will often have trouble adapting its normal tick pattern, and you will often end up with just a min and max tick by default.
It's pretty easy to work these setting to get what you need though.
I can't seem to show the series with empty data into my highcharts. I have some check-ins in a graph for each of the 7 weekdays. But when a day doesn't have data, it's hidden. What I would like to do is show the label of the empty serie on the x-axis (print the weekday name). I tried to populate my data with null values, using different options for highcharts, ...
I also can't set the color for the columns, I tried setting it to gray but that doesn't work.
Here's a demo in JSFiddle
You can set min and max for yAxis, instead of minPadding and maxPadding, take a look: http://jsfiddle.net/tgZcc/21/
Start date in irregular series is not same with date which is shown on mouse-over tip.
Also, you can check this on HC demo page for Winter serie start date: http://www.highcharts.com/demo/spline-irregular-time
How can I fix this, so both date point to regular one.
TY
There is no error. XAxis labels is calculated for only to fit the screen. There may be no point on label. For this example, time is fragmented per-14-days. If time is too long, may be fragmented more than 14, OR less than 14.
XAxis labels not represent points. It only shows timeInterval.
I am trying to use the highstock graph. I want to update the xAxis labels according to the range which is selected from the rangeselector. eg. if it's a 1-year graph, i want the ticks to be at the end of each month with labels as Jan-12,Feb-12 etc.(by default it shows each month as the beginning of that month). And if it's a monthly graph i want the labels to be positioned at each friday ie. at an interval of 7 days.
Is there a way i can dynamically change which labels are displayed on the axis based on the extremes?
You can use tickPositioner (http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#xAxis.tickPositioner) or formatter to change labels name http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#xAxis.labels.formatter
