Which plugins could replace publish-over-ssh from jenkins? - jenkins

At the latest jenkins version 2.331, publish-over-ssh has been suspended in conjunction with the publication of a security advisory announcing unresolved security issues.
Official website notice
I can not search out the plugin of publish-over-ssh in Jenkins Plugin Manager
Is there any plugins to replace publish-over-ssh?
Any help is much appreciated.

This plugin has been updated and can be used again. See: https://plugins.jenkins.io/publish-over-ssh/
It looks like it is no longer listed as deprecated.

In Jenkins there is a general SSH Plugin. You can try that. The "Publish over SSH" is the old plugin and is deprecated.

When you look under plugins you should find it.

Jenkins plugin updates are unavailable

I have updated my jenkins server and see the following message for some plugins. I am not sure how to fix this. I looked at the dependencies section for that plugin and I see they are already installed. Not sure what else is missing so I can see the update available. Dependency for this is Mailer which is already installed on my server.
That is frustrating but you can try uploading plugins manually.
You can download plugins from here link to plugin storage.
Of course you have to roughly see what version of the plugin goes with your jenkins version.
Once you downloaded 'proper' plugin version, you go to manage plugins, advanced tab and there you can upload the plugin file. After that restart jenkins and check changes. You should really go to manage plugins, updated plugin tab and update selected plugins...
It could be guess work, but I'm sure after a couple of guesses you'll get to the version of Jenkins you have.
You might need to upgrade jenkins.. here are all jenkins war files:
https://get.jenkins.io/war-stable/
Last but not least... don't try to fix all dependencies.. fix those you use, rest is optional.

Some plugins could not be loaded due to unsatisfied dependencies. Fix these issues and restart Jenkins

I was working on jenkins and working fine but i don't know what happened Jenkins shows following errors and no jobs are visible to me after that:
I am new in jenkins please help me to solve this.
As I understand the problem it could happened in cause of downgrading jenkins version or updating plugins "Pipeline: Node and Processes".
You need to restore previous jenkins version or downgrade plugin.
Additionally you can configure jenkins to get plugins' versions which fit your jenkins version in "Manage Jenkins" -> "Manage plugins" -> "Advanced" -> "Update site" and set the version you are currently using (for example https://updates.jenkins.io/stable-2.176/update-center.json)
Jenkins plugins are dependent on Jenkins LTS versions in use. Best way is while installing the Jenkins take latest (but stable) version of plugins.
Since you are using 1.176 version and trying to upgrade the plugins, the latest plugins do not support the older version of Jenkins (since Jenkins follow Parallel incremental development).
You can resolve the problem in 2 ways.
1. Downgrade the plugins and keep the LTS Jenkins version as it is. (not preferred solution since you will not be able to use latest functionality of the plugins and using old plugins is not secured).
Downgrade of plugins will also be suggested by Manage Jenkins --> Manage Plugins --> Installed
2. Upgrade Jenkins version (LTS 2.24x.x)
It is time taking option, but if you are heavely using jenkins for your work it is more suggested to upgrade the version. Besides new plugins have more secured and vast functionalities.
You can check the Changelog and can decided which version is good for you.
Take a reference of Upgrading Jenkins link.
To understand plugins and Jenkins LTS version dependency, use Jenkins wiki(Confluence Page).
e.g. Pipeline:Node and Processes plugin wiki indicates that for version 2.29 you need to have Jenkins version 1.150.1 or higher.
Note: Latest Jenkins version supports HTTPS instead of HTTP URL for advanced proxy options under Manager Jenkins.

Has the TFS plugin for Jenkins been removed?

I have been using Jenkins with the TFS plugin for several years but after installing Jenkins on a new machine, it seems that the TFS plugin cannot be found in the update center. All the other plugins that I could search for seem to work but not TFS, as if it had been deleted from there. I have tried using both jenkins-lts and jenkins weekly on two separate machines (both macs).
This is the plugin I am talking about: https://github.com/jenkinsci/tfs-plugin
The old wiki page for it also seems to have been removed (I get a HTTP 403 Forbidden reply when trying to access that): http://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Team+Foundation+Server+Plugin and the newer plugin index doesn't seem to know about this plugin: https://plugins.jenkins.io/
I have tried to look on the Jira issue tracker but couldn't find anything that seemed relevant.
Could anyone assist?
Okay so after struggling with this for a while, I figured out what had happened.
There was a security issue for the TFS plugin that hasn't been fixed: https://www.jenkins.io/security/advisory/2020-09-01/#SECURITY-1506
On top of that, it was found that the TFS SDK that is bundled with the plugin is not open source, which goes against Jenkins policy (see INFRA-2751 for more details).
This means that the plugin has been removed from the update center in this commit at the end of October 2020.
If the security issue is acceptable, the plugin can still be installed by downloading the .hpi from Github and then manually install the plugin in Jenkins: Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Advanced > Upload Plugin and select the plugin file downloaded previously (Make sure to have git-plugin installed normally first so all additional dependencies are in place).
Thanks to the people on Jenkins Gitter that reminded me of the security issue as well as #ian-w on here that pointed at the actual problem.
Edit: I edited my answer to include Ian's comment.

There is no AWS Codedeploy Plugin in Jenkins

I use two different Jenkins servers(tomcat jenkins) and i was trying to install a plugin for aws codedeploy.
However, I couldn't find it in the list of a Jenkins but another one has it.
Why the plugin libraries are different? even though i install them in a same way.
Also, How can i add a particular plugin in my Jenkins server?
Thank you.
Why the plugin libraries are different?
The plugin libraries shouldn't be different.
Which way did you search the plugin (jenkins gui, in the web)? Both your servers are on the same Jenkins version?
Also, How can i add a particular plugin in my Jenkins server?
I do it always via the GUI as described here: https://jenkins.io/doc/book/managing/plugins/

Using Jenkins CLI to configure plugins

I am working on installing and configuring Jenkins automatically using the Jenkins CLI. I am able to install plugins such as the Active Directory plugin, but haven't figured out how to configure it. Is it possible to perform such tasks from the CLI? From a Jenkins GUI standpoint, I'd like to check the Enable security checkbox under Security Realm check the Active Directory option, provide parameters to Active Directory, and under Authorization check the Anyone can do anything option.
I'm using a Puppet module (https://forge.puppetlabs.com/rtyler/jenkins) for the automation.
Greetings,
Kenneth
If you want to modify their configuration files manually using scripts called from the CLI, then yes.
Else, I don't believe there is. At least, not a general way for all plugins. Plugins are capable of adding CLI commands, as per this documentation page:
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Jenkins+CLI
Extending CLI
Plugins installed on Jenkins server can add custom CLI commands. See Writing CLI commands for more details.
So, some of the plugins you're using may have specific commands to configure them from the CLI.
So as far as I know those are your options. Manual configuration through editing their config files, or hoping your plugin includes some commands in the CLI that is specific to it.
There is currently a new Plugin in development called "Configuration as Code Plugin" to provide a way for configuration of plugins using YAML: https://github.com/jenkinsci/configuration-as-code-plugin/
They are currently in an early development stage but this could help solve this kind of problem.
