I want to have a multiple nested offcanvas for Bootstrap 5.
When I click a button, the first offcanvas should be opened and then click another button which is on the first offcanvas, the second offcanvas should be opened over the first offcanvas and the first offcanvas should not be closed.
I will make second one smaller and so the first one still be shown.
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="offcanvas" href="#offcanvasExample" role="button" aria-controls="offcanvasExample">
<i class="fas fa-bars"></i>
</a>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="offcanvas" href="#offcanvasExample2" role="button" aria-controls="offcanvasExample">
<i class="fas fa-bars"></i>
</a>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="offcanvas" href="#offcanvasExample3" role="button" aria-controls="offcanvasExample">
<i class="fas fa-bars"></i>
</a>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="offcanvas" href="#offcanvasExample4" role="button" aria-controls="offcanvasExample">
<i class="fas fa-bars"></i>
</a>
<div class="offcanvas offcanvas-start" tabindex="-1" id="offcanvasExample" aria-labelledby="offcanvasExampleLabel">
<div class="offcanvas-header">

<button type="button" class="btn-close text-reset" data-bs-dismiss="offcanvas" aria-label="Close"></button>
</div>
<div class="offcanvas-body">

<div class="dropdown mt-3">
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="offcanvas" href="#offcanvasExample6" role="button" aria-controls="offcanvasExample">

<div class="offcanvas offcanvas-start" tabindex="-1" id="offcanvasExample6" aria-labelledby="offcanvasExampleLabel">
<div class="offcanvas-header">

</div>
<div class="offcanvas-body">

<li><a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Another action</a></li>
<li><a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Something else here</a></li>
</ul>
</div>

From the Bootstrap docs...
"Similar to modals, only one offcanvas can be shown at a time."

Hello I am using bootstrap-5 collapses. I have multiple collapses an I need to trigger them all using jquery(not bootstrap button).Here are my collapses.Here is my code
<p>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="collapse" href="#multiCollapseExample1" role="button" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="multiCollapseExample1">Toggle first element</a>
<button class="btn btn-primary" type="button" data-bs-toggle="collapse" data-bs-target="#multiCollapseExample2" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="multiCollapseExample2">Toggle second element</button>
<button class="btn btn-primary" type="button" data-bs-toggle="collapse" data-bs-target=".multi-collapse" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="multiCollapseExample1 multiCollapseExample2">Toggle both elements</button>
</p>
<div class="row">
<div class="col">
<div class="collapse multi-collapse" id="multiCollapseExample1">
<div class="card card-body">
Some placeholder content for the first collapse component of this multi-collapse example. This panel is hidden by default but revealed when the user activates the relevant trigger.
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col">
<div class="collapse multi-collapse" id="multiCollapseExample2">
<div class="card card-body">
Some placeholder content for the second collapse component of this multi-collapse example. This panel is hidden by default but revealed when the user activates the relevant trigger.
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Using Bootstrap 5, with the navbar being a re-usable component used on many screens. The drop down menus work on all screens except for one, but for the life of me I can't see why that screen is different. JS console shows no errors, the navbar markup is identical to the one used in the other screens.
Any ideas on this are welcome.
Here's the navbar code (some data redacted for client's privacy):
<div class="bg-light">
<div class="container-fluid">
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">
<a class="navbar-brand" href="/">client's name</a>
<button class="navbar-toggler" type="button" data-bs-toggle="collapse"
data-bs-target="#navbarSupportedContent" aria-controls="navbarSupportedContent" aria-expanded="false"
aria-label="Toggle navigation">
<span class="navbar-toggler-icon"></span>
</button>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navbarSupportedContent">
<ul class="navbar-nav me-auto">
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link " href="/bkofc/">Main</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link active" href="/bkofc/cases/" aria-current="page">Screen 1<span class="sr-only">
(current)</span></a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item dropdown">
<a class="nav-link dropdown-toggle" href="#" id="navbarDropdownConfiguration" role="button"
data-bs-toggle="dropdown" aria-expanded="false">
ניהול
</a>
<div class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="navbarDropdownConfiguration">
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/branches/">config 1</a>
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/caseTypes/">config 2</a>
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/clients/">config 2</a>
<div class="dropdown-divider"></div>
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/users/">config 3</a>
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/inviteUser/">config 4</a>
</div>
</li>
</ul>
<ul class="navbar-nav">
<li class="nav-item dropdown">
<a class="nav-link dropdown-toggle" href="#" id="navbarUserDropdown" role="button"
data-bs-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">
#admin
</a>
<div class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="navbarUserDropdown">
<a class="dropdown-item" href="/bkofc/users/admin/edit">my account</a>
<div class="dropdown-divider"></div>
<form class="dropdown-item" action="/bkofc/logout" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="csrfToken" value="..." />
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-outline-danger"> logout</button>
</form>
</div>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
</div>
I need to send a POST to a controller action, so I have this:
<li class="nav-item">
<form asp-controller="Account" asp-action="LogOff" method="post" role="form">
<div>
<button type="submit">
<i class="fas fa-sign-out-alt"></i>
</button>
</div>
</form>
</li>
However, the button has a style and I need to have it a style with a transparent background and no border so that it mimics a standard icon.
How can I achieve this?
Just add the classes "border-0" & "bg-transparent"
<li class="nav-item">
<form asp-controller="Account" asp-action="LogOff" method="post" role="form">
<div>
<button type="submit" class="border-0 bg-transparent">
<i class="fas fa-sign-out-alt"></i>
</button>
</div>
</form>
</li>

After updating bootstrap rubygem from 4.0.0.alpha6 to 4.0.0.beta, default behavior of navbar is not working as before. By default links within it is hidden behind the button, even though for full screen.
<nav class="navbar navbar-toggleable-md navbar-light bg-faded">
<button class="navbar-toggler navbar-toggler-right" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarSupportedContent" aria-controls="navbarSupportedContent" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">
<span class="navbar-toggler-icon"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Navbar</a>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navbarSupportedContent">
<ul class="navbar-nav mr-auto">
<li class="nav-item active">
<a class="nav-link" href="#">Home <span class="sr-only">(current)</span></a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="#">Link</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link disabled" href="#">Disabled</a>
</li>
</ul>
<form class="form-inline my-2 my-lg-0">
<input class="form-control mr-sm-2" type="text" placeholder="Search">
<button class="btn btn-outline-success my-2 my-sm-0" type="submit">Search</button>
</form>
</div>
</nav>
Here is the screenshot:
How should I fix it?
For beta version:
Navbars require a wrapping .navbar with
.navbar-expand{-sm|-md|-lg|-xl} for responsive collapsing and color
scheme classes.
So instead of:
<nav class="navbar navbar-toggleable-md navbar-light bg-faded">
It should be:
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md navbar-light bg-faded">
Source
You should be sure that you are using bootstrap 4.00 beta css and js files.
Default navbar example of bootstrap beta works in snippet and this fiddle example https://jsfiddle.net/s4qvqdbc/ try to change screen size in jsfiddle then you will see collapsed and uncollapsed form of it

I have an angular 2 application that uses bootstrap 3.3.7 and jquery 1.12.4. The code is as follows:
<div class="btn-group">
<button type="button" class="btn dropdown-toggle"
title="More actions" data-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false"
>
<span class="sr-only">More actions</span>
<i class="fa fa-ellipsis-v fa-lg" ></i>
</button>
<ul class="dropdown-menu dropdown-menu-right menu" role="menu">
<li>
<button *ngIf="itemViewModel.IsCopy !== true" type="button" class="btn dropdown-button" (click)="Copy($event)" title="Copy"
>
<i class="fa fa-files-o" (click)="Copy($event)"></i>
Copy
</button>
</li>
<li>
<button type="button" class="btn dropdown-button" (click)="Move($event)" title="Move">
<i class="fa fa-arrows" (click)="Move($event)"></i>
Move
</button>
</li>
<li>
<button *ngIf="itemViewModel.IsShare !== true" type="button" class="btn dropdown-button" (click)="Share($event)" title="Share">
<i class="fa fa-share " (click)="Share($event)"></i>
Share
</button>
</li>
<li>
<button type="button" class="btn dropdown-button" (click)="removeItem($event)" title="Delete">
<i class="fa fa-trash" (click)="removeItem($event)"></i>
Delete
</button>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
The dropdown menu appears fine. But clicking on the individual buttons in the list is not invoking the associated event handler. This issue is occurring on Safari browser on iOS and Chrome on Android. However, it works perfectly on Edge and Chrome on the laptop/desktop.
I have tried various solutions provided for earlier versions of Bootstrap on stackoverflow and github, but they aren't working.
How do I get this to work?
I resolved this issue by using the dropdown from ng2-bootstrap --> https://github.com/valor-software/ng2-bootstrap
