Karaf unable to install jena - jena

I'm trying to install jena (as a requirement of Islandora), running Karaf 4.2.11, however when I run the command to install, /opt/karaf/bin/client feature:install jena, an error is returned. I got the full text of the error, located below, from the Karaf log.

I've not used Karaf before, but I've looked through a lot of issues and can't seem to decipher the error, though I think it has to do with the Java version? I'm running version 11.0.11 of openJDK. It seems to me like that's the version it's asking for, though. Is there some configuration I'm missing?
I'm happy to supply any other troubleshooting info, I just can't find where to go from here, not having worked with Karaf before.

The issue here is that Karaf is being run with Java 8. You can see evidence of that in the line:
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748) [?:1.8.0_292]
(The execution environment is Java 1.8.0_292)
Jena 4.x requires Java 11+
In order to use Java 11, be sure to set the JAVA_HOME environment value to point to the correct installation. On linux-based environments, this can often be handled with the update-alternatives --config java command

Unable to update Jenkins "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: File parameter 'file is not writable: '/var/lib/jenkins/plugins/junit.jpi'"

I am unable to get Jenkins to update to a new version. It is currently running on CentOS 7. Followed the install instructions https://www.jenkins.io/doc/book/installing/linux/ here hoping to upgrade it, and although it appears to be doing so, the moment I try to load into the server it shows this. I've tried looking into this and have seen a similar error occur but it only happened in the plugins section, not the entire page.

When you update the jenkins version, a lot of files ownership is changed from jenkins to your OS user.
The best solution is
sudo chown -R jenkins:jenkins /var/lib/jenkins

Logstash - Sudden error when trying to run local logstash instance

So I'm not really sure what happened. Yesterday I was running my logstash instance locally using docker and had no issues.
Now all of my docker containers are running into this same error message when I try to run it. I can confirm that yesterday this was not an issue whatsoever:

I haven't changed any code for this to happen so I'm really confused.
Any reason for this? Or at the very least how can I remove this error as it is blocking me from debugging our project.
Thanks
So I found out the reason. I haven't been pruning my old docker images and it was adding up every time I built.
A simple command: docker image prune cleared the old images and everything worked again

Android build failing in Jenkins due to connectedAndroidTestDebug TimeoutException

My current Jenkins build is failing when trying to deploy tests on a real android device.
I have found some people having a similar issue on Travis, but I could not find many others reporting it in Jenkins.
As you can see in the error outputed by gradle this is caused by the TimeoutException triggered when attempting to install the tests:

11:20:37 E/Device: Error during Sync: timeout.

:library:connectedAndroidTestDebug FAILED
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
I tried invoking Gradle Wrapper which made no difference to specifying the version in the job configuration - I tried Gradle 2.5-rc-1, Gradle 2.3 and Gradle 2.2.1, this last one worked for two builds and then started returning this same timeout error.
I also tried setting up environmental variable:
export ADB_INSTALL_TIMEOUT=10
Setting in build.gradle the com.android.ddmlib.DdmPreferences.setTimeOut param:
com.android.ddmlib.DdmPreferences.setTimeOut(60000)
Also tried using the adbOption 'timeOutInMs' which neither worked.
android {
adbOptions {
timeOutInMs 60000 // set timeout to 1 minute
}
}
It looks like this is an ongoing issue in code.google.com - the following two threads seem to be connected to it:
Issue 1: com.android.builder.testing.ConnectedDevice.getDeviceConfig has a hard coded timeout value that is too low
Issue 2: Allow the user to increase the ADB timeout
Any ideas what else could I try?
Thank you!
I finally fixed it restarting the adb server and issuing any other adb command like for example requesting the list of devices.
Just run the following commands from the terminal:
adb kill-server
adb devices
I hope it helps!

grails 3.1 - Failed to load latest version of profile [angular]

Not sure where to go on this as I have setup proxy details using GRAILS_OPTS - can anyone suggest anything to try, please?
I thought profiles were bundled, so can you disable checking for latest profile versions, as a workaround?
Just downloaded grails 3.1 using sdkman (earlier grails versions wouldn't download, but other candidates e.g. groovy, did work - not sure what changed) and made it default candidate.
$ echo $GRAILS_OPTS

Failed to load latest version of profile [angular]. Trying Grails release version
org.eclipse.aether.resolution.DependencyResolutionException: Failed to collect dependencies at org.grails.profiles:angular:jar:3.1.0
Gordon.
Meet the same issue. Looks like the Maven local repository files was broken during the development process.
To fix the problem remove all files from the folder (MacOS/Linux): /Users/username/.m2/repository/org/grails/profiles/angular/3.1.0
(Windows)
C:\Documents and Settings\username\.m2\org\grails\profiles\angular\3.1.0
Then restart grails console.
Try to set the following environment variable:
export JAVA_OPTS="-Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.yourcompany.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080 -Dhttps.proxyHost=proxy.yourcompany.com -Dhttps.proxyPort=8080"
I have no idea what I'm talking about but I think grails is trying to do some ssh to github.
If your proxy is blocking it, there is no way around it.
I can clone from github with https, but not with ssh : see github help
So i cannot grails create-app, etc.

After installation of github plugin into jenkins, restart not responding and showing errors

Even I remove the github plugin from jenkins not working. which is running under the tomcat7 server.

If you see a Java stack trace, you can usually find what the problem is by looking at the "Caused by:" line. Here is yours:
Caused by: org.jvnet.hudson.reactor.ReactorException: java.io.IOException: Unable to read /usr/share/tomcat7/.jenkins/config.xml
Jenkins is unable to read its configuration file. This could be due to one of:
The file doesn't exist
The file isn't readable by the user that runs the Jenkins process (note that it needs to be writable as well)
The JENKINS_HOME environment variable isn't set correctly for the user that runs the Jenkins process
