Im working in GitLab and Jenkins Integrations. Its working fine in scheduling process.
I'm trying CI from GitLab with Jenkins. All the blogs and tutorials explained with JenkinsCI But that option is not available in GitLab->Integrations. GitLab-Integration please refer the image.
I have tried without Jenkins CI using webhook getting the error.
enter image description here
Error: Webhook executed successfully But returning Http 500
I have tried my personal account in that I can see the jenkins under Integration able to add setting then moved to Active Integration

Im having issue with gitlab plugin test connection on jenkins. it gives error when I hit the "test connection" button with the given values.
GitLab user is maintainer and has full access on it. GitLab API token belongs to this user.
unfortunately it seems no way to track this error. I checked the logs files in jenkins machine as well.
GitLab Plugin Version is -> 1.5.27

I run a Gitlab and a Jenkins server locally. I connected those two using the gitlab-branch-source plugin. For every repository in gitlab i create a multibranch-pipeline job in jenkins. When a user pushes code, I want the corresponding job to be executed.
I'v tried a solution suggestend in this post and this one. Both of them don't seem to work.
In the gitlab server settings on the jenkins server I've set the check at "Manage Web Hooks". The personal access token which is used for the integration has the scopes "api, sudo".
What else could I try?
I have a Jenkins and Gerrit server running in k8s and docker respectively, however I am stuck at trying to integrate both services together.
I've tried following these two manuals.
https://www.infoq.com/articles/Gerrit-jenkins-hudson/
https://nofluffjuststuff.com/magazine/2016/06/understanding_and_applying_gerrit_part_4_integrating_jenkins_with_gerrit
But they seem well out of date.
Anyone know any good documentation out there to integrate Jenkins and Gerrit?
I am trying to trigger jenkins pipeline on gitlab push to branch and tag.
Using Jenkins ver. 2.176.2 and gitlab version 10.7.3-ee.
Although I have supposedly set up the webhooks properly, I do not see the jenkins job being triggered.
I have installed the gitlab plugin for jenkins, and configured the gitlab server, including the Personal Access Token for GitLab APIs access generated in gitlab.
I have defined the webhook (currently requesting trigger on all events). (for testing, ssl verification is off).
When testing the webhook in gitlab, I consistently receive HTTP error 500.
In jenkins pipeline job, I have selected "build when change is pushed to gitlab. gitlab webhook..." - this is the URL I used when defining the webhook in gitlab, under "integrations" section.
When pushing to gitlab, I see no event listed under "integrations -> recent deliveries",
I see no log under jenkins logs "com.dabsquared.gitlabjenkins" logger (set to log level "FINEST".
And lastly, the pipeline job is not triggered as I expected.
Any leads will be very helpful.
Adding printscreen of the Jenkins configuration of the gitlab for reference to the comment I added on possibility this is issue with the personal access token
Jenkins gitlab server configuration
Go to Settings of Gitlab Project -> Integrations and type in the Jenkins Job project url in 'URL'. URL should take either form:
http://JENKINS_URL/project/PROJECT_NAME
http://JENKINS_URL/project/FOLDER/PROJECT_NAME
Notice that the url does not contain "job" within it and instead uses "project".
Make sure under Triggers, you have "Push Events" checked as well if you want the job to trigger whenever someone pushes a commit.
Finally, run a build against your Jenkinsfile first before testing the webhook so Jenkins will pick-up the trigger settings for Gitlab.
Please refer the link for more details.
What do you put into the system hook URL? I see a lot of examples but they look like JSON scripts to me.
I'm trying to configure gitlab to hook jenkins to create projects when projects are generated in gitlab. I'd also like builds to be run when a merge (pull) request is generated for a repo.
I've followed the steps outlined here for the gitlab hook plugin:
http://doc.gitlab.com/ee/integration/jenkins.html
But it's still not generating builds on push requests. Perhaps i don't have something setup right?
I have also tried and failed to configure Gitlab to integrate with Jenkins by following the instructions at http://doc.gitlab.com/ee/integration/jenkins.html#jenkins-service
For me the reason was that I didn't have Gitlab EE installed. The page specifically states: "The Jenkins project service code is only available in GitLab EE"
I discovered by chance my answer. In gitlab under the project settings you can add the following hook to trigger a build on a pull request or commit.
http://gitlab.example.com/job/example_project/build?token=UserToken.
I believe I saw it in Jenkins.
Now i've installed the gitlab plugin and i've tried the build_commit? hook and some other hooks but i was running into other errors such as asking for repo location when i've provided it. This does the trick though and i'm happy enough for now.
