Multiple criteria Countif unable to match due to date range, importrange - google-sheets

I am attempting to build a live dashboard for our lovely mechanics to see how many services they have completed in a day. The majority of the time it will be used to only show services from a certain mechanic on today's date, however I would like to be able to change the date it shows date for and so would like to be able to grab that criteria from a certain cell in sheet.
My current thinking is that the dashboard would have a formula like this:
=COUNTIFS(
IMPORTRANGE(
"https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bx65qPAChwZ8uxwJsMfh-w5uALdKVdnn8x7LXD6J3zs",
"Servicing!A:A"),
D1,
IMPORTRANGE(
"https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bx65qPAChwZ8uxwJsMfh-w5uALdKVdnn8x7LXD6J3zs",
"Servicing!C:C"),
C7)
D1 is where i can put in the date. C7 is where the mechanics name is held. My thinking is that this is not working as the data is populated using a google form. This google form records a timestamp in the following way '3/13/2020 12:09:56' Meaning that It will only match this data if the exact same time matches. Is there a way to make it search for ALL records on a date instead of all from a precise time?
Thanks for reading!

I was able to remove the time from the google forms output by adding and extra column and using this formula
=TO_DATE(DATEVALUE(B805))
B805 is filled by the time stamp from the google form
I then made my formula search for the info in the new colum with the above in each cell. It worked! :)

How can I Query Google Sheets data and Group the data where the data is names within a date column?

Hoping someone can help me with this one. I have the following Google Sheets data in Sheet 1:
I want to run Queries in another sheet so that when a date is selected the Query will return this:
The link to my working file is below:
Working File
I have started my query in cell D2 of the Other Attendances sheet. You will see that my query links to dropdowns, including a date range and I want all of the names who attended an event to be listed under the event and the date of the event rather than listed separately for each date. I also tried to create an IF statement if 'All' is selected but couldn't get that to work either.
I would appreciate help with a formula.
I used two formulae in the Results sheet, cells A6 and B8.
The name data is messy, but you could work on the input to get it cleaned up.

google sheet data filter for last a few days

I have a google sheet to log what I do at work every day.
for example
no filter
I managed to figure out how to filter it by today.
highlight colon -> data -> filter -> date is today
for example:
only today
but I could not figure out how to filter it by the last x number of days
for example:
goal
I guess I will need to make a custom filter, but I have a really hard time figuring out how to make custom filters in google sheet.
Please help me. Thanks in advance.
I solved this in two ways. One with a filter view, and one with a formula you could also use. Both are in my example spreadsheet based on your provided data.
Filter View:
To view my example use the above link and go to the sheet "Filtered". Then apply "Filter recent days" which is a filter I created. I created this filter by filtering column A for the condition "Date is after". I then chose "exact date..." which allows formula input. The formula I used was =TODAY()-4 which simply filters the data for every instance of column A which is after 4 days ago.
Filter formula:
To accomplish this, I left the original data in columns A and B. Then in C5, I entered the formula =FILTER(A3:B,A3:A>TODAY()-4), which uses basically the same method as above. This will produce a separate output next to your original data with only the recent entries.
I also took this a step further by moving the formula down a cell, and then replacing the 4 in the formula with D2. Now you can change the number in D2 to change how many days it displays.

Data Studio date range that filter on Google Sheet Column

I'm using Google Sheets, and wanted to do a Data Studio "real time" report, based on the data in the sheet.
The sheet contains data from an issue management program.
My data in the sheet exactly:
Issue type (string), Work time (number), issue created at (date), issue resolved at (date)
I successfully created a pie chart that's dimension is: Issue type and metric: Work time
I can see that all the data in the pie chart.
Now my problem is:
I can't filter this chart with a date range.
The date is in a correct format: YYYYMMDD
but I can't describe to data studio, which date column it should filter when I set a date range in the control.
Is it possible some way to create two date range filter and one of them filter on created date, and the other one filter on resolved at date?
Thank all of you!
Roland
Check to make sure that the date range you're filtering by is the first date column from the left in your Sheet. If it's not, then Data Studio gets confused and doesn't work properly.
I'm not sure if you can have two different dates in two different filters. The graphs wouldn't know which filter to follow.
Finally I deleted the connection between the sheet and the report, and started again everything, and it works fine. I think I created the connection when the date was not in a correct format, I changed it after making the connection.

Google Sheets: How do I look up multiple values in another sheet?

The scenario I am faced with is kind of an odd one. Basically, I am designing a Google Sheet for work that will allow the employees to log their tech support phone calls and then a report will automatically update on another page, keeping a collective tally of sorts of all the activity on a particular day.
What I am trying to do is write a function that searches another sheet for a particular date and, if that date is found, sum a particular column of values for that day only. There are pictures attached that should help explain the problem.
Basically, I am trying to write a general equation in the cell reading "FALSE" that will look up the date of that row (in this case 1/1/2017) in the "Spendgo Minutes" sheet. If that date were to be found somewhere on that sheet (not necessarily at the top of the sheet), the "Minutes Gained" column would be summed up, but for that date only (not the entire column). Here is my running formula right now that has errors:
=IF(COUNTIF('Spendgo Tally'!$A$3:$A,$B7),'Spendgo Tally'!$G3)
Does anyone know how this might be possible? Feel free to ask any clarifying questions.
You're looking for SUMIF
= SUMIF('Spendgo Tally'!$A$3:$A,$B7,'Spendgo Tally'!$G3:$G)

How to Count Timestamp on Google Spreadsheets?

My responses are timestamped as soon as anyone submits a survey. I wanted to count those timestamp monthwise.
URL - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkpZp6MVqYv1dE5SZjJIODB1WF9nZDR6b1ZJZjFPenc&usp=sharing
I wanted to find out number of positive responses for a particular question (lets say Q1) for a particular month (lets say May)
Column G is not founded out based on the timestamp of Q1, I had asked the user the month, but that's not the correct way to do so, so I have stopped asking the user to enter the month.
First you have to overcome the fact that the timestamp isn't compatible with googles date format. No biggie,... luckily it looks like you have a fixed format ie DD/MM/YYYY. So you can use the LEFT and RIGHT formulas like so =right(left(a2,5),2) This will give you the month in text, ie 05.
Great.
Now for the harder stuff. If you have the newer google spreadsheets, you can simply use countifs to the effect of:
=countifs(arrayformula(right(left(A$2:A,5),2)),"=05",B$2:B,"=Positive")
For each month, replace the "=05" with the the date number you want. You could also make a month lookup chart for all months and questions so that you don't have to modify the formula for each month and quesiton. For this you replace the "=05" with =[cell number containing month number as text] (NOTE: for making a lookup key, you will have to pay close attention to the fact that you are getting TEXT in the formula above vice a number. There is a difference and they are not compatible as-is.)
Let's say you don't have the new google spreadsheets. Then you can use the old sumproduct() and if(). Yes, it is old. See the following:
=sumproduct(arrayformula(if(right(left(A$2:A,5),2)="05",1,0)),arrayformula(if(B$2:B="Positive",1,0)))
Note in both of these, you need to use arrayformula to convert the column with the timestamp into something useable. If you want to make this part easier by removing the parseing functions (LEFT() and RIGHT()) you need to change the timestamp format to be MM/DD/YYYY. Then you can plug in the the MONTH(DATE) formula and it will be done.
Then make a master sheet like so (note my formula has a "'" in it to make it visible for purposes of demonstration, you should remove it.):
Careful inspection might note that the count is wrong. That is because when I imported your timestamps, times like "02/06/2014 ..." were interpreted to mean "February 06" because of google's auto-formatting. In your sheet you will get the correct count using this formula, because of the way your timestamp is auto-populated.
HINT: To make the month a text you need to enter ="05" in the Month column
Please let me know how you make out.
