Can I debug iOS 14 on Mojave 14.6 with xcode 11? - ios

My Mac version is Mojave 14.6, and if I don't upgrade to Catalina, is it possible to debug app on device of iOS 14 on xcode 11?
If not , maybe i won't upgrade my iPhone to iOS 14...

What is important is the version of XCode. If you are using XCode 11, then you can only deploy to iOS 13 or lower. Definitely don't upgrade to iOS 14 if you want to stay with XCode 11.
This is especially important if you are just learning iOS development and your resources and sample code references XCode 11. Upgrading to XCode 12 might make some of the sample code or instructions not work anymore. Best you complete your learning and then upgrade. Once you are proficient, you can upgrade and you should be able to fix any changes necessary to support the new version of XCode. Also possibly the original author will have updated their learning material as well.

Is there any way to build iOS 15 apps with Xcode 12.x?

I'm using MacBook Pro mid 12.
When I try to install Xcode 13 I can't do it. Apple says you need to use macOS 11 but my computer doesn't support it.
Now I need to update my app to iOS 15.
Is there any way to create iOS 15 apps with Xcode 12?
I found a way.
A man whose name is Ben S*** shares a patch on GitHub.
This patch has helped upgrade my MacBook pro mid 2012 to Big Sur OS from MacOS Catalina.

After the upgrade, I could install XCode 13 and build my app based on iOS 15.

SDK Version Issue on iOS testflight

I'm trying to initiate the testflight for my iOS application, suddenly I'm started getting the below error
"SDK Version Issue. This app was built with the iOS 13.2 SDK. All iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 14 SDK or later, included in Xcode 12 or later."
After googling a bit, I found that few people are facing the same and like other developers, I don't want to upgrade the xcode as many other applications are dependent on it and I am using xcode 11.0.1 and to upgrade the xcode to higher version, I need to upgrade my macOS as well, I am using mojave and I have to upgrade it to Bigsur.
As I'm a cross-platform developer, I have very little idea about these processes, so please help with a proper solution
The upgrade is compulsary and I have to go with it

Which XCode supports iOS 14.5.1 - the minimum version for AirTag support?

It looks like the latest XCode 12.5 on Catalina does not support iOS 14.5.1 yet...
Which XCode supports iOS 14.5.1 - the minimum version for AirTag support? Is this available for Catalina, or is one forced to upgrade to Big Sur?
Note, the beta version of XCode is not listed as available for download. Also iOS 14.5.1 is not a beta iOS.
There weren't any sizeable changes in the SDK to warrant a new Xcode release. That would make it the Xcode 12.5 betas and final release, which dropped support for Catalina.

iOS Dev on El Capitan Xcode 8.2

I'm just starting to learn iOS development. I have an old macbook pro that is running El Capitan (10.11.6). I was reading that the last version of Xcode that would be compatible is 8.2. If there is a later version that will work fine, let me know.
What are the drawbacks of developing in 8.2 as apposed to 9.2, the most recent version? am I going to face any major issues if I develop on 8.2?
Thanks in advance for the replies.
The biggest drawback is probably that you won't have access to the iOS 11 SDK which ships with Xcode 9. That means that you won't be able to use any functionality that is new to iOS 11 in your application. If you're using Swift, you also won't get the latest version.
You will face language issue because Xcode 8.2 support Swift 2.3 while Xcode 9.2 support latest swift 4.0
Xcode 9 includes SDKs for iOS 11.2, watchOS 4.2, macOS 10.13.2, and tvOS 11.2
Xcode 9.2 having iPhone x simulator (new device)
You face issues while migrating to latest one.
If your macbook spec is not fast enough latest xcode will make u suffer. also latest xcode requires MacOSX High Sierra too. However just for comparison, my Mac Mini 2012 runs "ok ish" on Mac High Sierra and XCode 9.2. So if your macbook spec is similar to mine then you ought to use latest one.

Latest iOS device support folder

I'm using Xcode 7.3.1, which supports up to iOS 9.3.1.
Now I'd like to check my app on a device on a relatively current version of iOS (10.x), so I added some OS Support folders (using Xcode 7.3.1 with iOS 10 support
), which seems to have worked well.
Now I need the latest OS support folder (i.e. 10.2.1(14D7)). I have checked other StackOverflow answers, but I haven't found one that helps.
Just use Xcode 8. It supports iOS 9 and the latest iOS 10. If you need to keep Xcode 7 in order to run on older iOS versions you can just rename your Xcode to Xcode7 and install Xcode 8 next to it. You can run both of them but it would be wise to do it not at the same time.
Is there any reason that you need to stick to Xcode 7? If you want to support older iOS versions you can download different simulator in Xcode 8. And also, you need to build in latest Xcode to support latest iOS. Xcode 7 doesn't have iOS 10 SDK.
As #MacMark said, you can keep both Xcode 7 and 8 in your mac but I don't see any benefit for doing so.
