I'm trying to use =GetPivotData formula to dynamically pull specific sum totals (40% & 80% Sell-Out Probability in my example) into a table. I may not fully understand how to use the formula, but everything I've tried has returned an error.
Sample Sheet
This formula seems to pull the answer you want, if I understand your question.
=GETPIVOTDATA("SUM of Sales",H2,"Sell-Out Probability","40%")
This would go in N8 of your sample sheet.
N9 would have the same formula, but with "80%" as the last value.
Let me know if this helps.

im am still doing my google sheets test and need help finding the answer to the question: what proportion of products are discontinued. i have to express my answer in a formula on google sheets
you can find the link to the data stack here:
products list:

my idea was to count the 0 in the column J(discontinued) with the formula: =Countif(J2:J78,"0"). in the next step i would have to show a proportionality and i have no clue how i am supposed to do that. could anyone tell me if the first step is correct and how i should go about the proportionality?
thank you!!
You can also use the formula PERCENTIF:
Returns the percentage of a range that meets a condition.
PERCENTIF(range, criterion)
In this case if you want to know the percentage of 0 this would be:
=PERCENTIF(J2:J78;"0")
You do not need any formula, just build a pivot table
I am hoping someone can help me out.
I have 2 different datasets and I am hoping to replicate something like the maxifs function using an arrayformula so that I only need 1 formula and do not need to drag it down.
What I would like to do is return a value that matches a name, and the date is less than or equal to a date in the column. Basically the most recent value that matches those criteria.
I have added a picture below
DEMO FIXED
The maxifs formula I am trying to replicate in this case is: =maxifs(I:I, A:A, G:G, H:H, "<=" & B:B)

Thank you in advance.
UPDATE:
I have this formula
=arrayformula(if(len(A2:A), vlookup(A2:A&B2:B, {H2:H&I2:I, J2:J}, 2, false),))
Which almost does what I want, however if there is no date matching i need the value from the next most recent date. Instead this returns an error.
Your new goal has nothing to do with your post. Your image values don't match your sheet, and you don't want a max or equivalent to MAXIFS at all now. So the entire post will be confusing to other contributors and future site visitors. Consider spending adequate time to rework your post question, image and spreadsheet to accurately reflect your new goal in a unified way.
That said, I've added a new sheet ("Erik Help") with a formula highlighted in green which accomplished your new goal as I understand it:
=ArrayFormula(IF(A2:A="",,VLOOKUP(A2:A&"~"&B2:B,SORT({G2:G&"~"&H2:H,I2:I},1,1),2,TRUE)))
ADDENDUM (based on additional comment from OP):
I've modified the formula as follows:
=ArrayFormula(IF(A2:A="",,IFERROR(IF(REGEXEXTRACT(VLOOKUP(A2:A&"~"&B2:B,SORT(G2:G&"~"&H2:H),1,TRUE),"(.+)~")<>A2:A,"no match",VLOOKUP(A2:A&"~"&B2:B,SORT({G2:G&"~"&H2:H,I2:I},1,1),2,TRUE)))))
I am attempting to make a Google Sheet that has a column for a rate and a value of that rate. Each night I am adding a new value to the bottom of this list so I want it to continue as an infinite list. What this sheet should do is look down the list of rates, if the rate matches a predefined rate, it should add the corresponding value to the total for that rate. I have four common rates that occur in no particular order and with some given value. I would like to total the values for each of those rates and give them in the totals section so each rate can be easily referenced.
Is there a way to do this using Google Sheets built-in commands? Pseudocode would be something like IF(A2:A = rate, add value in B to total). I know to make an infinite reading of a column by A2:A, but I don't know how to check each value as it goes through that column. I have attached a test spreadsheet with some sample values and the output that should be given by the formula. Thank you in advance for your help.

I managed to discover my own answer using the SUMIF statement. My code for the rate of .75 is ""=SUMIF(A2:A,"=.75",B2:B)"". I ran into some more trouble with the section for a different rate because I was having trouble saying not equal to .75 or 1 or 1.5 or 1.75. I solved this problem by completely bypassing it and adding the all the values and subtracting away the values already added. I would still like to know how to give the list of "ors" if someone could shed some light on this. But I now have a working solution regardless. I have updated the test sheet to show the solution.
I have a google sheet with a list of [people], [dates], and [times]. I need a running total column that gives me a running time total on each line for each combination of name and date, as of that line. I have a working SUMIFS solution. The drawback of this solution is that it requires me to copy the formula down the entire column. Since I ultimately want this to work in a sheet that is fed by a form, I want to use either an ARRAYFORMULA or an APP SCRIPT solution, so that each new row will automatically do the calculation without my needing to copy down the formula.
You can see what I mean in this sample sheet:

Thanks for any thoughts you may have.

SUMIF() does not play nice with ARRAYFORMULA(). Have a look at this MMULT example spreadsheet, last sheet "Cumulative sum down column", column U

If you haven't used matrix multiplication before, and have trouble wrapping your head around the solution, try to follow the examples starting from the 1st sheet.
I'm trying to summarize data from several Google spreadsheet' sheets in a single one but I have some issues with SUMIF and FIND.
To Sum data from another sheet I have to use this (at least that's the only solution I've found)
=SUM(INDIRECT(""&A6&""&"!E2:E"))
Where I have the name of my sheet on A6.This makes everything easy because I have a column (A) with all the names of the sheets. I haven't found something like Sheets[1] in Google Docs.
My next step was to Sum Times from a specific column but remove a specific values, which in this case is 1 that get transformed internally 24:00:00 since it's a time column:
=SUM(INDIRECT(""&A6&""&"!D2:D")) - SUMIF(INDIRECT(""&A6&""&"!D2:D");"24:00:00")
Here I tried to do everything with a single SUMIF but I have no idea how. NOT("24:00:00") didn't work so I settled to this.
The last part is the most difficult and I'm not able to solve it.
I have a column with month names (for example) and I want to sum some data only when the month name contains "er". Here is what I thought:
=SUMIF(A6:A16,ISNUMBER(Find("er")),G6:G16)
This gives me always 0
(Note that the last one contains A6:A16 instead of the whole INDIRECT part because I am still testing it in a single sheet.)
Any Idea what I'm doing wrong?
I don't know why the above SUMIF doesn't work, what I've tested and works is:
=SUMIF(A6:A16,"*er*",G6:G16)
SUMIF is NOT SUM + IF as I thought. I hope it will help someone else.
