A Youtube channel can be managed by multiple users that are "Administrators" of the channel.
Does the API allow us to act on those channels? The use case:
list "unlisted" playlists (actually only "public" playlists are returned...) ;
upload "unlisted" videos on that channel ;
add video to a playlist retrieved before ;
We noticed the existence of "onBehalfOfContentOwner" and the associated "partner" scope. Our tests were not successfull using it. If that is a solution, any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
Regards.

I've got a YouTube user, which doesn't contain a YouTube channel. But the YouTube data API does return a channel, if I query the youtube.channels.list API method by using the "mine=true" attribute like in following example (1).
Example:
(1) Returns a channel (mine=true; by using OAuth):
https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/#p/youtube/v3/youtube.channels.list?part=snippet%252CcontentDetails%252Cstatistics&mine=true&_h=5&
This query (1) returns a channel which contains a channelId. Now I'm trying to query for the playlists of this channel by using the previously returned channelId.
(2) Returns a 404 "channel not found" error
https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/#p/youtube/v3/youtube.playlists.list?part=snippet&channelId=UCIReEy02ibumfYhQP3-0drQ&_h=4&
As described here it's possible to use a YouTube account without a channel but with limited functionality like using playlists:
With a Google Account, you can watch and like videos and subscribe to channels. However, without a YouTube channel, you have no public presence on YouTube. Even if you have a Google Account, you need to create a YouTube channel to upload videos, comment, or make playlists. You can use a computer or the YouTube mobile site to create a new channel.
What's the reason query (1) is returning a channel even if a YouTube account doesn't contain a channel?

[1] Returns a channel (mine=true; by using OAuth):
Because of every account on youtube itself a channel. They can do all the things they want like any channel can do e.g. upload videos. Also, we can make multiple channels under the same account.
[2] Doesn't return a channel (forUsername=UCIReEy02ibumfYhQP3-0drQ; by/without using OAuth):
Please make sure UCIReEy02ibumfYhQP3-0drQ is a valid username
I'm building something with the YouTube API. I've found a few oddities so far. The first thing is that a channel can have a title of 'blah blah - Topic' so you probably want to screen those out if you want to retrieve channels with their own content. If I'm right in my thinking, these are just channels with Playlists. Example: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6tQSWkTxbPNaJ_LQ-Ia6jQ/
Also be aware that channels don't have to have a unique title.
Finally there are many channels that return nothing from the API Channels.List method, even though they are channels. I'm still figuring these out. I don't think they are returned from searching through the API, but if you get your Channel IDs from another source then this could be an issue.
is there a way to upload videos through the Youtube API to a specific channel that I'm administrating.
https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/videos/insert
From what I see in the documentation the parameters onBehalfOfContentOwnerChannel is reserved to Youtube partners. Does this mean that I can only upload videos to my personal channel and not to one of my pages?
Thanks
As per documentation, you are correct. onBehalfOfContentOwnerChannel is only available for Youtube Partner only. If there is a way to be authorized that is when you do a transfer of ownership of the account but this should be done by the owner himself.

Hope this helps.
So I just signed up my app for Youtube Data API V3.. I currently have the API key on hand.
Now.. I don't need to do any auth. I only want to access public information about different youtube channels.. such as their subscriber count, likes/dislikes per video, comments per video.. and that's about it.
Can someone point me to an example of hitting an endpoint to get sub count using a sample youtube account?
Thanks. Any help is appreciated.
Given specific video id (not owned by me), how can i get list of assets claimed in that video? I can do that via https://cms.youtube.com/manual_claim, but is there a way to do this via youtube partner api?
There is no way to check other people's ownership or management rights on a video or channel. YouTube deliberately avoids that. There is claimSearch->list method in Partner API but with that you can only search "your" claims.
Is it possible to upload videos on a specific channel through Youtube API?
I am just able to upload videos on main account. We have created some channels using business names. But, I could not find any way to upload videos on those channels so far using API.
On main account, the profile is using a human name. We need to use business name and the channels have been created using business names under the main youtube account. I uploaded a video manually too. But, we need to upload the videos using API on those business channels.
Can anyone help here?
If you get authorized for that account, you can upload to that account too.
If you are using Google+ to manage all those accounts, you can read here. (This is also suggested way to manage multiple channels with one login name.)
If you are a content owner that is managing all these channels, then you can use Content ID API.
