I get this alert when I try to connect to a Mac.
Do I need to hit install?
Why is this warning displayed to me?
my visual studio mac and my visual studio 2019 windows and my xcode are the latest updates ... does anyone know what to do?

You can safely install. Sometimes the windows release and the mac release will have different versions. if you're going to be working from Windows then keeping it on the windows version is what you want to do.

I use Visual Studio 2022 on Windows for Xamarin development for Android & iOS. I use a Mac Mini with M1 for the iOS builds. All has been working fine for over a month. A few days ago I allowed the MAC to perform an update. Today when I tried to build for iOS, the Pair To Mac dialog said there was a monoframework mismatch and offered to install monoframework 6.12.0.174 on the MAC. Initially I chose Cancel, and then rebooted both machines. The same error occurred when I tried again. This time I allowed the install. After the install completed, every time I try to use the iOS Simulator it hangs as soon as it appears. I would appreciate some direction. I do not know how to fix it and I do not know how to back-out the mono install on the MAC. Please help.
Solution: I updated Visual Studio & Visual Studio for Mac to the current versions. Then found in the following in the Visual Studio ReleaseNotes:
Known Issues
Deploying an iOS app with Visual Studio 2022 and Apple Xcode 13.3 results in a Remote iOS simulator window with a blank/black screen. Workaround: Disable the “Remote Simulator to Windows” check box in the iOS Settings under the Tools - Options menu. The iOS app should deploy correctly on the macOS host.
Following those instructions I disabled the “Remote Simulator to Windows” check box in the iOS Settings under the Tools - Options menu. The iOS app then deployed correctly, but on the macOS host, no longer can it deploy on the Windows machine from the Mac build host as in prior versions.
I have Visual Studio Community 2019 for Mac
Version 8.4.1 (build 4).
I need to downgrade to 8.4.
How I can do that?
I'm doing it, as everything got broken with the new version.
I found the old installers here (off-line)
https://mac.filehorse.com/download-visual-studio-community-mac/old-versions/
Im still solving the SDK stuff happening (thanks to the Frankenstain integration in the tool)

Wish me luck
I am aiming to deploy a mobile application to the iOS platform using codes developed in Visual Studio for an Android phone. I am unable to open the Visual Studio file on my Macbook (macOS High Sierra ver.10.13.6) as Visual Studio here does not seem to support .jsproj files. As such, I have attempted following the instructions in the link below to run a remotebuild on my mac while debugging codes and seeing an iOS simulator on my Windows computer.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/cross-platform/tools-for-cordova/first-steps/ios-guide?view=toolsforcordova-2017#run-on-simulator
I was able to get the remotebuild running, however, I came across the error where it required my projects to use cordova-ios 4.3.0 or greater with Xcode 8.3. As my windows computer does not have Xcode, I turned to my macbook and tried updating and adding the Cordova iOS platform through the terminal, where it said "Current working directory is not a Cordova-based project." I have searched the error up and it said that it required my Visual Studio project to be open, which I am unable to do so as my file is not supported in the Mac version of Visual Studio.
The iOS version in my Windows Visual Studio is currently 4.2.0 and I am unsure how to get about updating it. I have seen the link below but in only applies to Macbook, where I cannot open the Visual Studio project file.
Install specific version of Cordova CLI in Visual Studio 2017
I have installed node.js as well as Git, also attempting to include/update the Cordova iOS platform through the command prompt (Once again unsure if that was the method, but I tried), however, the command prompt did not recognise the update to cordova. Under the toolset in Visual Studio, I have tried ticking on the checkbox under Cordova platforms to take the latest patch, where ~4.2.0 appears, but still does not update.
I am still new to coding and things seem very foreign to me, if I have missed out anything vital or am doing something fatally wrong, please do enlighten me.
The Installesd Xamarin.IOS (version 10.8) on the MAC Xamarin Team is not compatible with the local Xamarin.IOS (version 10.2) . PLease select a new server or install the correct Xamarin.IOS versions.
I am getting the above issue while connecting with the MAC from Visual Studio 2017.I did Unistall and Installed VS two times. for this , we have wasted threee days of time.
please anyone provide the solution for the above issue.
Thank you in Advance.
Check the Xamarin.ios updates both on PC and Mac. Download and install all the updates, make the version of your Xamarin.ios up to date.
To check the Xamarin.ios updates on PC:
Open Visual Studio.
Tools->Options...->Xamarin->Other.
Select Stable and click the Check Now button.
On Mac:
Open Visual Studio for Mac.
Click the Visual Studio ... tab right after the Apple icon on the top-left of screen.
Click Check for Updates...
If it is not on stable channel, choose Stable and click on Switch
channel button.
You can check the versions both on PC and Mac for xamarin.ios in VS.
Check the xamarin.ios version on PC:
Help->About Microsoft Visual Studio.
On Mac:
Visual Studio ...->About Visual Studio ...->Show Details.
At this time (9/4/2017), the latest stable version of Xamarin.ios is 10.12. When you update both them, try to connect them again.

How can I update the Xamarin.IOS version on my
MAC?
I'm trying to do some developing with Xamarin. My setup is this:
MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.3
-XCode 8.2.1 installed
VMWare Fusion running Win10 VM using Bridged network connection
-Running Visual Studio 15 with Xamarin up-to-date with latest Stable release
I'm still just trying to get everything set up. Originally, I was running Yosemite, so I would get the error that I needed to Accept the XCode terms when I tried to set up my Xamarin Mac Agent, but XCode wasn't even installed (my bad). So, I updated my OS to Sierra and installed XCode. Then, I made sure on the Mac side that my account was included for Remote Login. When I try to connect, it comes back after 30 seconds or so that it "Couldn't Connect". So, if I try another account in the approved Remote Login list that I don't have the password for, it comes back right away that I have the wrong credentials. So that tells me that it must be getting thru to the Mac, but something else is wrong.
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!
To make the connection between OS X and Windows work, you have to make sure that you're running the same version of Xamarin on both.
On OS X, you need to have Xamarin Studio with the latest stable version of Xamarin and Xamarin.iOS installed. On Windows, you need to check that you have the same version by going to About Visual Studio dialog (Help menu).
