This app is in the store from 2015 and never have problem with apple pay.
Recently i made an update and submit the app to the store but it was Rejected, this is the information reported in the review:
Your app uses Apple Pay as a purchasing mechanism but does not use Apple Pay branding and user interface elements appropriately as described in the Apple Pay Human Interface Guidelines.
Specifically, your Apple Pay sheet does not include the following:
Product description and specifications
payee name
This is the screenshot of my Apple Pay sheet
what does it mean "Product description and specifications"? do I have to add all the products purchased? I never see the products in apple pay sheet..
also i read this https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/apple-pay/overview/checkout-and-payment/ and there isn't any reference to products
The total line should include your payee name, as per the guidelines;
Provide a business name after the word PAY on the same line as the total. Use the same business name people will see when they look for the charge on their bank or credit card statement. This provides reassurance that payment is going to the right place. For example: PAY [COMPANY_NAME].
You can see more examples on Apple's site - Note how it says "PAY THE NORTH FACE" and "PAY DOORDASH".
The guidelines don't say anything about product description and specifications, but you should include lines for the subtotal and VAT if applicable.
I would fix this and resubmit. If Apple still has a problem with product description, I would request more information from them.
You can add the payee name like this
paymentRequest.paymentSummaryItems = [PKPaymentSummaryItem(label: "Payee name", amount: 0)]

The problem is that Apple does not charge money for the developer account. I tried to pay twice but I didn't have success. Apple says "Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process." but nothing happens.
I assume that the Card Holder (Visa, Master Card) and developer name are different that is why Apple does not take the money.
So I want to reset enrollment to the first step, so I can write the same name as Card Holder name.
There may be many issues behind the scene in your case,
Apple might not be able to obtain the payment from the card you have submitted .
To prevent further issues:
• Before placing the new order, notify your financial institution that you are expecting a charge from Apple and confirm that your billing information is accurate.
• Be sure to use a payment method that is accepted for developer purchases in your region, as presented during the purchase process.
• Confirm that all payment details match the information on file with your financial institution when submitting the new order.
If there is mismatch in the card holder detail and the developer name, there may be chances that Apple might ask for ID proof of the developer(Rarely).
You can always contact the Developer apple customer care and check the issue , which will be resolved within 2 business working days.
Once you have made the payment , you have to wait upto 48 hours to process . You will not have option to reset the enrolment in this time.
I am working on Integrating Apple Pay in my app. I need following details to post to api :
1. Name on the card,
2. last 4 four digits,
3. type of card (VISA, AMEX etc)
Is there a way to retrieve those from the card selected by user in Apple Pay tray ?
You cannot get the name on the card via ApplePay. This is one of the reasons why a lot of merchants have resisted it. But Apple did this to protect users' privacy: you should be able to buy something without telling someone your name. If someone doesn't know your name then how can they identity fraud you?
If you want the customer's name, ask them, or have employees check their ID and require that the name be entered into the system. If you can't be asked to bother asking the customer to identify themselves, then, since the customer has not voluntarily given you their name, why do you deserve to have it?
When submitting Apple Pay Sheet, PKPayment from paymentAuthorizationViewController: didAuthorizePayment: will give me shipping and billing details, depending on what I set in the PKPaymentRequest.
However, due to primitive testing (Apple Pay not launched in the UK), Stripe's basic ApplePaySheetStub and iOS9's issue with requesting PKAddressFieldName, I haven't been able to find out the answer to this question: In Apple Pay Sheet - what is the difference between the name under CONTACT section and name under SHIPPING section?
I can find name from SHIPPING section from PKPayment, but should name under CONTACT section be populated, where would I find that post-authorisation
[...] should name under CONTACT section be populated, where would I find that post-authorization
All the contact information along with shipping address is coalesced into a single ABRecordRef (shippingAddress) so you'd find it in there.
From talking to Apple, the name under CONTACT section will only appear if the payment request didn't include shipping Address field. In other words, PKAddressFieldPostalAddress & PKAddressFieldName can't be both requested for shipping.
Based on that explanation, you won't see name under contact and under shipping. Its one or the other.
I've been searching for a while, but it may be too obvious and people don't post about it.
I want to know if I can put a dynamic price for a product.
I have a delivery application and the price may vary with the distance.
Also, it can be a non integer price, like $2,43.
Is it possible?
Also, I couldn't set a price at iTunes Connect, I need to be reviewed first?
Thanks a lot in advance!
As noted by other poster, you cannot have variable in-app purchases. You have to select one of the provided price tiers.
Now assuming you are making a taxi-service app then what you need to do in your app is provide the user with a list of prices that are fetched from your server for example how much will it cost to go from point A to point B. You can then "charge" them outside of the in-app purchases using your own pricing service (credit card over the phone etc).
Again in-app purchase doesn't work with what you need.
You can't set custom prices for an In-app purchase. You need to set the price using one of the tiers available.
You can set different prices for the same product by editing the the In-app purchase, selecting a tier, setting a "Price Effective Date" and "Price End Date" and hitting the button "Add to schedule".
EDIT: This can now be done using Apple Pay
You cannot set your own custom price for an in-app purchase, you can only use the ones that apple provides you with (this is most likely to stop things like in-app purchases for $0.01 or $100,000). Apple gives you plenty of price ranges, so you could just use $1.99 or $2.99 for your needs. In-app purchases are mostly non-integer prices.
Yet, if you were to go threw a third-party, other than apple, say PayPal you could do this easily, yet you won't get as many functionalities that IAPs have, and it would be near impossible to trigger something like removing ads inside of the application on this payment unless you have a server that you are using for your application. To implement PayPal, you could look at their tutorial HERE.
In short, no, you cannot set your own prices for in-app purchases, you can only use the ones that Apple provides (which can range from 0.99 to 999.99), yet, you can use a third-party like PayPal to get this functionality, although it really isn't needed
From my understanding, Windows Phone now allows in-app purchases. I would like to empower my users to signup for one-of-three subscription levels within my app. However, I do not understand how to enable this type of scenario. I see the option to add an "In-app product". However, in my case, I'm not sure of the following:
Am I offering one product or three separate products (one for each subscription level).
I don't understand the "Product Identifier" is this an identifier for the subscription or the identifier of my app? If its the former, shouldn't I just toss a GUID in here?
Thank you,
It may be worth taking a look at the overview on MSDN - your product identifier is the one you submit (as a person) via the development dashboard - it's also the one that your app can enumerate to see the list of available products, and the product id you'd use to purchase.
As far as I'm aware, you cannot have products that are (for example) £10 per month though - of course you could do something like have bundles on a pricing structure that exchange for something within your app, maybe £5 for 5 music downloads, £9 for 10 etc. rather than "a £10 per month for unlimited" (difficult to give a generic example though)
