How to convert send order from mql4 to mql5 - mql4

Below is the method I'm using to place an order after three minutes if it doesn't go through. I've converted the larger part of it from mql4 to mql5. It's just the commented part that I'm not sure how I'll change to mql5 since in mql5 send orders return bool's and not int's. I would be glad if I could get help with fixing this remaining part.

How to fix Error 130 on MT4 Expert Advisor Short trades?

I am trying to get this code to trade short. It trades long but give MT4 Error 130 invalid stop loss and is not going short. What do I change so this code goes short?

Cs50 speller: not recognising any incorrect words

I'm currently working on the CS50 Speller function. I have managed to compile my code and have finished a prototype of the full program, however it does not work (it doesn't recognise any mispelled words). I am looking through my functions one at a time and printing out their output to have a look at what's going on inside.

From what I can see this works fine. Which makes me wonder if the issue is with my check function as shown here:

If someone with a keener eye can spy what is the issue I'd be very grateful as I'm stumped. The first function is used to load a the words from a dictionary into a hash table\linked list. The second function is supposed to check the words of a txt file to see if they match with any of the terms in the linked list. If not then they should be counted as incorrect.
This if(strcasecmp(cursor->word, word)) is a problem. From man strcasecmp:
Return Value
The strcasecmp() and strncasecmp() functions return an
integer less than, equal to, or greater than zero if s1 (or the first
n bytes thereof) is found, respectively, to be less than, to match, or
be greater than s2.
If the words match, it returns 0, which evaluates to false.

Objective C " * " syntax and usage

I am re-writing the particle filter library of iOS in Swift from Objective C which is available on Bitbucket and I have a question regarding a syntax of Objective C which I cannot understand.

The class continues with more code and functions which are not important and what I do not understand are these two lines

Variable pidx is initialized to the size of a buffer which was previously defined and then in the next line the size of that buffer and buffer plus one is equal to the RSSI variable which is passed as a parameter in the function.
I assume that * has something to do with reference but I just can't figure out the purpose of this line. Variable pidx is used only in this function for calculating trailing mean and standard deviation.
Let explain those code:
NSInteger* pidx = self.rssiBuffer; means that you are getting pointer of the first value of the buffer.
*(pidx+self.bufferIndex++) = rssi; means that you are setting the value of the buffer at index 0+self.bufferIndex to rssiand then increase bufferIndex by 1. Thanks to #Jakub Vano point it out.
In C++, it will look like that

Accelerate framework "sign" function

I'm trying to find a super fast way of getting the sign of each value in a vector. I was hoping to find a function in the accelerate framework to do this, but couldn't find one. Here's what it would do:

vvcopysignf() "Copies an array, setting the sign of each value based on a second array."
So, one method would be to make an array of 1s, then use this function to change the sign of the 1s based on an input array.

C++ - Removing invalid characters when a user paste in a grid

Here's my situation. I have an issue where I need to filter invalid characters that a user may paste from word or excel documents.
Here is what I'm doing.
First I'm trying to convert any unicode characters to ascii

Now this seems to work except, when you try to copy and past bullets from a word document.

You will get something like this

My filter function is called on an onchange event.
The bullets are replaced with the value o and a question mark.
What am I doing wrong, and is there a better way of trying to do this.
I'm using c++ builder XE5 so please no Visual C++ solutions.
When you perform the conversion to ASCII (which is not actually converting to ASCII, btw), Unicode characters that are not supported by the target codepage are lost - either dropped, replaced with ?, or replaced with a close approximation - so they are not available to your scanning loop. You should not do the conversion at all, scan the source Unicode data as-is instead.
Try something more like this:
