Editing WIT in VS2019 for TFS2018 and cannot save (TF237090) - tfs

I use the Process Template Editor from the marketplace (Microsoft DevLabs). I load a Work Item Type from Project and (with or without changing anything) I want to save it. Then I get the error message:
Failed to save the 'xxx' Work Item Type to the server. TF237090: Nicht vorhanden oder Zugriff verweigert. The last sentence means in english something like not available or no permissions.
I access the server from my workstation. Both computers are in the same domain. In the AD I am only a normal user, but at the TFS I am in the group Team Foundation-Administrators. Inside the website I can modify everything normally. Can it be that this is a direct access to the database and the database has to be set to access external requests?
Or has someone another idea where to look?

Pentaho 5.0.1 CE Adding folder to pentaho-solutions directory

How do I get a folder to appear in the browser after adding it to \pentaho-solutions in Pentaho 5.0.1 CE. The documentation I read does not seem to work with this new version.
1. Create a new directory in /pentaho/server/biserver-ee/pentaho-solutions/.
Use underscores instead of spaces in the solution directory name. Ensure that the directory has the appropriate user
and group ownership to be writable from the BI Platform.
2. Using an XML-aware text editor (or Design Studio), create a file named index.xmlin your new solution directory.
3. Copy the following text into the index.xml file, changing the content accordingly:

4. Save the file and close the text editor.

You now have a new solution directory. It will show up in all file dialogues in the Pentaho User Console as well as the
Solution Browser in the left pane.
Every time you add or edit an action sequence to your solution directory, you must refresh the repository cache as
explained above. Each user currently logged into the Pentaho User Console must also refresh their session cache; this
is best done by re-logging into the Pentaho User Console.
I am using Pentaho design studio to develop an xaction sequence script. I followed this procedure:
1. In Design Studio, go to the Filemenu, then select New, and click on Other...in the sub-menu.
The Newwindow will appear.
2. In the Newwindow, click the triangle next to Pentaho, select New Action Sequence Wizard, then click Next.
3. In the File namefield, type hello_world.xaction.
4. Select Hello Worldfrom the Templatedrop-down box, then click Finish.
The wizard will generate the new file and bring you back to the workbench.
5. Click on HelloWorldComponentin the Process Actionssection on the left.
The right side of the screen will change to show the options available for this action: Nameand Message. The
Name field controls the name of the component in the Process Actions list on the left; it doesn't do anything else of
note. The Message field contains the text that will appear on the screen when the action sequence is run. It is prepopulated with %quote, which is a token that represents a quote message in a nonexistent properties file. Pentaho
used to provide properties files for each example, but they have been removed from the standard Pentaho Business
Analytics distribution.
6. Replace the %quotewith a sufficiently inspiring message.
Alternatively, you could create a hello_world.propertiesfile and populate it with the appropriate messages and
tokens, but that has no advantage unless you intend to internationalize this action sequence.
7. Save the file.
You now have a working action sequence that prints a short text message: "Hello, World." plus whatever you typed into
the Message field. The first part of the message is determined by a message bundle packaged with the Pentaho Web
application archive.
To test the action sequence, use the Test tab if you are on Windows or OS X, or log into the Pentaho User Console and
run it from the Solution Browser.

I figure this is because pentaho cannot locate the xaction file as specified in the file path when I generate the url from within design studio. The folder I created within the solution directory does not appear in the browser directory list despite refreshing the cache. Any help?
With Version 5 the files and folders are no longer stored in "/pentaho/server/biserver-ee/pentaho-solutions/..."
It is stored now in a jackrabbit repository.
You can create folders and upload files in the user console.
I did mistake after starting biserver 5.2. Unexpectedly i deleted Public folder after configuring to jackrabbit. Now how do i create the folder so that i can see Public and Home Folders.
Sorry for getting back to this question some time later, just in case someone searches something related to Pentaho repositories management with no success, i hope this information can help.
Just to make things more clear, i'm using version 5.2.x and i'm supposing you want to create a new folder on the root directory of Browse Files screen, something that is not allowed on Pentaho5 CE Web Console.
The answers about repository management based on JackRabbit are correct, so the old way we used to configure new "solutions" folders doesn't work anymore. From version 5 on, Pentaho exposes an interesting REST api that allows you doing things not allowed in web console.
For instance, for creating a folder in root directory you should create a http REST PUT request against Pentaho Server (using tools like curl or if you appreciate Google Chrome, something like Advanced Rest Client, etc.) using the following URL:
http://localhost:8080/pentaho/api/repo/dirs/:new_directory_name?userid=admin&password=password

Can't create TFS Task

I've just set up TFS2010 and connected VS2010 to it, then created a New Team Project using the default Agile template. No worries to that point. Then I tried to add a Task. It wanted a value in Title, so I supplied one, no problem there. But then it reported
The field 'Changed By' contains the value 'login-name' that is not
in the list of supported values.
By login-name I mean the name between the single quotes is my Windows Domain login name. I can't even make a guess at a valid value, because this is not a value the user supplies. It's not even displayed on the UI.
When I try to save the Task, I get this

Am I incompetent at using this? Is there some configuration I have failed to set? Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
To make things even more confusing, a day later and the whole thing mysteriously works. Neither workstation nor Sharepoint server has been rebooted to the best of my knowledge. It's all too weird for words.
Within TFS there is a job that synchronizes usernames from Active Directory to Work Item Tracking for users that have access to the server. It populates the available values for the Assigned To, Changed By and Activated By fields.
It's possible that this job had a problem or hadn't run yet, which is why it mysteriously started working again the following day.
If it happens again, you can download the Team Foundation Server 2010 Power Tools from here. Then install the Best Practices Analyzer (BPA) component and then run a health scan. It should identify what the problem is.

Error deleting project in TFS

I created a "Test" project that I want to delete, using the following command:
TfsDeleteProject /server:xyz\sqlserver2008 “Test“
Getting this error:
TF30076: The server name or Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) you typed,
xyz\sqlserver2008, cannot be
resolved to a Team Foundation server.
If you type a server name, it must match the name you typed in the
Add Team Foundation Server dialog. If you type a URI, it must use
the following syntax: http[s]://:
The server instance is valid. (The installation of TFS is app tier and db are on seperate boxes) What might be going on ?
xyz is eht server name, sqlserver2008 is the db instance. For eg. I access the db using sql server management studio client app using xyz\sqlserver2008 as dbname.
Specify the full server URI including the http:// and :port. Also look for these error numbers in the MSDN.

How can I create a local user profile for the anonymous user of an ASP.Net MVC application under IIS 7?

I've been experimenting with ASP.Net MVC, and have come across a problem that is probably not specifically MVC related. But I cannot get the authentication in the default MVC application (the one created by the wizard when you create a new MVC project) to work properly under IIS 7 on Windows 7.
If I run under the Visual Studio environment, it works, but if I switch the settings to run under IIS instead, I get the following exception trying to submit the login or registration:
Failed to generate a user instance of

sure the user has a local user profile
on the computer. The connection will
be closed.
I believe that this is because the website runs under my own account in Visual Studio, but under the IUSR account in IIS. Google searches on the exception message have been unhelpful so far.
So, can one create a local user profile for the IUSR account? If so, how? Is there something else I should be doing to get the SQLExpress engine to work under the anonymous account in IIS 7?
I also tried configuring the IIS website to use my account, but since this is my home machine, my account doesn't have a password, and it appears that IIS won't let a website be configured to use an account without a password. Or, since this is my first experience with IIS 7, and configuration feels very different than IIS 5/6, I am just missing the right setting that will let me configure the account to use for anonymous access.
EDIT: Some additional information. If I empty the App_Data folder and try again from IIS, SQLExpress attempts to create my database and fails, but the exception message has further information with the following suggestions.

Sql Server Express must be installed on the machine.
The process identity for the web server account must have a local user
profile. See the readme document for

I've pretty extensively confirmed that the first three suggestions have been satisfied. The fourth seems to be the cause of my problems, but I can't figure out how to do that. And although the suggestion claims there is a readme document that describes it, I have not been able to find that document.
I got this problem as well running under medium trust. The process that creates the database requires at least High trust. You can check this by looking in your Web.Config for
<trust level="TrustLevel" />
If there is no trust specified in your Web.Config, try adding it and set it to either Full or High. If this doesn't work, there is a machine.config in your IIS which you would need to modify.
That being said, the best route I have found to solve this is to just use aspnet_regsql.exe to create the necessary tables and then change the connection string in your Web.Config to look at it directly.
I solved "The directory 'LocalApplicationData' does not exist." error when running an SSIS package through an SQL Job by ensuring the SQL SSIS service and SQL Server Agent service were running under the same account as the swql job was set to use!
This in my case was a domain account.
Solution: Try UNINSTALLING any updates before you started experiencing the issue. I spent countless hours - wasted hours that I will never get back in my life - reading and following every solution possible without success. I uninstalled all SQL Server updates and now everything works fine.

Can't create new project in Team Foundation Server

We're switching over to Team Foundation for our version control, and I have to learn it and set it up. Our IT guy did the installation of the both the data tier and the app tier, and he is of course convinced that it's right. However when i log in as tfssetup and try to create a new project, i get the error:
Error
Insufficient permissions to create a new SQL Server Reporting Services at tsttfsapp1.
Explanation
The permissions granted your user name and ID on the SQL Server Reporting Services at tsttfsapp1 do not allow you create a new project. You must be granted specific permission by the server administrator.
User Action
Contact the Administrator for the SQL Server Reporting Services at tsttfsapp1 and ask that the permission "Content Manager" be added to your user account
So i tried to log in to http://servername/Reports_TFS it asks for the credentials but doesn't accept them. Even stranger when i try to access it from a computer and user that aren't on the same domain as the app tier server, it doesn't ask for credentials and lets me right in. As far as i know the default name of the site should be Reports, not Reports_TFS is it possible that his renaming of that could be causing the problem?
tfssetup is definitely a "Content Manager" as far as i can tell, so i don't understand why we are getting this problem. Also any recommendation for good websites or books that can take a complete beginner and help me become an expert in 3 weeks (what's left of the 6 week time frame allowed for me to learn) would be appreciated.

I'm not sure this will help, but we had this error at my place of work on our 2005 TFS server. We opened a ticket with Microsoft and sent them our TFS database. They were able to replicate the issue with the copy of the database. Somehow the TFS database had gotten into an invalid state, but they weren't able to determine how this happened or how to fix it. Unfortunately, this error kept us from being able to upgrade the server to TFS 2008 too. We ended up getting latest of all the code and adding it to source control on a new install of TFS. What a pain.
OK so it turns out it was only a problem because I was using a 2005 client with a 2008 server. A 2008 client has no problem creating a project on the 2008 server, but the 2005 client is not able to create a project on a 2008 server.
