Generate unit tests for my code by using IntelliTest - visual-studio-2019

I found that I can use IntelliTest to generate unit tests for my code. I am using Visual Studio Enterprise 2019, but I don't see this option when I right-click on a method.
Should I download something?

Could it be related to my answer on Visual Studio 2019 IntelliTest Compatibility With .NET Core, .NET Standard? ? In a nutshell, if your app targets .NET Core there is a bug that needs to be upvoted in order to have this functionality fix.

TL&DR: Visual Studio Enterprise 2022 also does NOT have this capability!
IntelliTest is available in Enterprise edition only. It is supported
for C# code that targets the .NET Framework. .NET Core and .NET
Standard are not currently supported.

Visual Studio 2019 16.18.4 : .NET 5.0 installed yet not available for projects?

I have Visual Studio 2019 updated to the latest current version of 16.18.4 (see screenshot), the .NET 5.0 is installed (see screenshot made in visual studio installer) and yet when creating new projects or then changing
target framework, the .NET 5.0 framework is not available. In the about box Visual Studio displayed .NET 4.8, not .NET 5.0.
To help anyone else who might face a moment of confusion as I did, the following allows creating a .NET Framework Windows Forms project
while the following allows targeting either .NET Core 3.1 or the newer .NET 5.0
and, as said, you can't simply set from VS a .NET Framework project to target the new .NET 5.0.

Support for .NET framework 4.x on visual studio code

I tried looking for support of .NET Framework on Visual studio code. Also there is no support found by me on MVC5, Entity framework 6 DB First, Asp.net Web Forms and WPF.
Visual studio community and other versions allow us to create applications
mentioned above using templates or wizards, which I could not in VS CODE.
Please let me know there is any way to enable the same.

Visual Studio 2019 IntelliTest Compatibility With .NET Core, .NET Standard?

I'm evaluating Intellitest in the latest version of Visual Studio Enterprise. As far as I can tell from my own attempts and research on various sites, it appears like IntelliTest is only compatible with .NET Framework - not .NET Standard, nor .NET Core.
Is this correct?
As per today's version (16.4.4) this seems correct. There is an open issue at https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/idea/359250/add-intellitest-support-for-net-corestandard.html which will add/fix the Intellitest option for .NET core and .NET Standard. You can help by upvoting that item in order to have it prioritized.
Correct, they are not supported yet!
Note
IntelliTest is available in Enterprise edition only. It is supported for C# code that targets the .NET Framework. .NET Core and .NET Standard are not currently supported.

.net mvc 5.2.3 does not work correctly in visual studio 2013

After upgrading my .net mvc project to 5.2.3, it does not have nice features like validating view/action names and linking to them.
here are my project type guids

Try uninstalling the package. Then clean the solution and reinstall it again.
it turned out to be a resharper issue

have been using this tool for so long it seemed natural to have this kind of intellisense and started to blame visual studio.

Does Visual Studio 2010 support MVC 5?

My question is can we develop an application in Visual Studio 2010 using MVC 5?
If yes, please also mention the tutorial or sample code url with your answer.
If no, then please specify the requirements of MVC 5 to build an application with it?
No it isn't possible. You need Visual Studio 2012 and I thought .NET 4.5 at least. See the upgrade notes for detail information http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/mvc-5/how-to-upgrade-an-aspnet-mvc-4-and-web-api-project-to-aspnet-mvc-5-and-web-api-2
You need VS 2012 or above to have MVC5 support.
From the EF Blog
Compatibility
This version of the NuGet package is fully compatible with Visual
Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012 and can be used for applications
targeting .NET 4.0 and 4.5.
Some features are only available when writing an application that
targets .NET 4.5. This includes enum support, spatial data types,
table-valued functions and the performance improvements.
I was able to add EF5 to an MVC4 project through NuGet. You can certainly use MVC 4, you just won't get all the new features unless you're on VS2012.
