I'm pretty new in app development, that's why I'm using Cloud Builds with Nativescript Sidekick.
I have well installed/setup Firebase, everything works for Android, but for iOS, I don't get messages. Nativescript's Firebase plugin from Eddy Verbruggen says that you must must enable push notifications from xcode to receive messages.
NB : In firebase, in my ios App (of firebase), my device is well detected, but I'm not receiving anything.
I don't know how to have an .xcodeproj from a cloud build. Do you know how to fix this ?
Kind regards.
Since you are using cloud builds, you may enable the Cloud Messaging from Developer Portal. You must have a paid Apple Developer Account to do so, login to https://developer.apple.com/ and then navigate to Identifiers section, edit your app identifier to include Push Notifications Capabilities.
Then navigate to Keys section, create a auth key and add the generated key to your Firebase iOS app. Detailed instructions can be found at Firebase Docs
I hope you already configured the entitlement file as described in the plugin docs.

I have iOS app which supports application above iOS 10. I have followed the tutorial mentioned here :
https://firebase.google.com/docs/cloud-messaging/ios/client
To integrate firebase into iOS. I have also uploaded the Auth key into Firebase Console.
Now When I tried to fire the push notification from Firebase Console I am able to get the push notification. But when I created the Ad hoc distribution .ipa file I am not able to receive the notification. As you can see while creating Ad hoc build my APNS is set to production.
Not able to figure out what is the issue. Please help
I am using firebase version 8.8.0
I am trying to add FCM functionality to an iOS app in firebase. I am following the firebase guide for this, and in this step it explicitly states "In APNs authentication key under iOS app configuration, click the Upload button."
My problem is that there is literally NOTHING under my 'iOS app configuration'. So where and how exactly do I upload my APN key?
Inside your project in the Firebase console, select the gear icon, select Project Settings, and then go first to the General tab. Be sure that there is an iOS app first.
Today I found that iOS application doesn't receive push notifications (we use Google Cloud Messaging service). I tried to check the expiration date of certificates uploaded to GCM and found a strange bug with GCM configuration page. I unable to upload new certificate
Is there any alternative way to check uploaded certificates?
I reported the issue to Firebase, because now GCM is a part of Firebase. And got an answer from Firebase support team that I have to migrate my GCM project to Firebase console. Doing so will not affect my existing configuration or I don't need to migrate SDK to FCM. It just got an ability to work with project via Firebase console.
How to find certificates in Firebase console see on screenshots
UPDATE:
By the way there is information appeared at Cloud Messaging page
I am using the Firebase Unity (BETA) v1.1.1 package. So far everything worked fine, I implemented Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications from a node server and uploaded the Apple push certificates for development and production (and double-checked that later). Also I made sure to use production provisioning files.
It worked smoothly, but when I uploaded the App to Testflight, Notifications did not make it to the device any more. No matter if I send them from the node server or the firebase console.
I read that on iOS there is a sandbox parameter that has to be set, but I cannot find it in the unity plugin. What could I be doing wrong? I can happily provide more information, I just don't know which you could need.
I am developing an iOS app which uses Push Notifications. I recently uploaded the first version to the App Store and I have turned on the Push Notifications in the Application Services in the app's App ID in Apple Developer Console. It says "Configurable" now. After that I got an email from Apple with a warning:
Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app includes an API for
Apple's Push Notification service, but the aps-environment entitlement
is missing from the app's signature. (...)
Then I found out that in XCode, on the Capabilities tab I need to enable Push Notifications. I did it, then created a new version and uploaded it, then I didn't get such a warning. Looks promising so far.
My problem is that I don't quite know where are the certificates for the APNs. I am using Firebase Cloud Messaging which requires to upload a development and a production certificate.
The internet is full of ways to create these certificates manually. Although Apple says always that XCode can do it automagically, which I'd prefer too. I just don't know where those are and whether created or not yet.
In Apple Developer console, I have two certificates created when I uploaded the first version of the app: a development and a distribution certificate. If I click on the APNs Auth Key, there's nothing displayed (not sure if it's a problem)
What do I need to do to automatically generate (or just find if done already) the certificates by XCode?
Any help is really appreciated.
For Push Service you have to create certificates manually and upload them to Firebase Console.
