how can i combine cells in fastreport? - delphi

i have a table. to print like this

I want to make the observation take the whole table means it remains empty. The empty box takes all the table.

Per your last link, it appears that you have hard-drawn the cell lines in your master data row. This means they will print for each row. There are, however, multiple ways to get around this:
Make the upper and lower lines for your Observation column separate objects (e.g. LineObsTop and LineObsBottom). Then, in the MasterData Band's OnBeforePrint, adjust the visibility of these based on the values of the column
Don't hard-code cell lines! Instead, make sure the cell fields all align perfectly and use the fields' Frame properties. Then use the Observation field's OnBeforePrint to adjust the frame based on value.
Similar to #2, but use conditional formatting for the cell, adjusting the frame.

Change cell value based on checkbox in Google sheets

I'm using Google sheet to manage my budget (see sample below) where I add each of my expenses as a single entry (yes, sounds like a lot of work). I sometimes split the expense with my roommate but then I have to add the value and divide by 2 everytime.
I was thinking if I could use a checkbox next to the value that will automatically divide the expense number by 2 when I check it. Is this possible?
I'm open to simple suggestions other than the checkbox to automatically update the value. Thank you.
Using simple IF formula you can just check if the checkbox is true, if it is then it will divide the current value on column C by 2. Otherwise it will remain blank.
Formula:
=IF(D1,C1/2,"")
Drag down to other cells.
Result:
Suggestion, Alternate solution:
If you'd like you can make a table with a column for your roommate, instead of editing the actual column so you can see both values. And use this formula:
=if(NOT(D2=""),E2/2,E2)
You have a column for per head contribution/split. If the cell on roommate is blank then it will stay as the total value, if roommate has an additional then it will be added to total and split it by 2.
Or using arrayformula:
=arrayformula(if(NOT(D2:D=""),E2:E/2,E2:E))
Works the same as above you just have to fill the enter the formula in the first cell no need to drag down and it will automatically expand to rows/cells below just make sure that below cells are empty or it will return an error.
Additional - Using same cell
As you've mentioned in the comments. Here's a way to divide the original value without using another cell to store it. (Not recommended)
Formula:
=VALUE/IF(D1,2,1)
example:
=1000/IF(D1,2,1)
Result:
However, I do not recommend this. It is still best to make use of another cell to store the original value before making calculations to it.
Also, using this formula you have to change the value from the formula and not on the cell otherwise you will replace the actual formula.
You can try array approach-
=ArrayFormula(IF(D1:D,C1:C/2,C1:C))

Angular UI-grid, how to tell what the next column in the scroll is

I have a ui grid that has 20 columns, and I would like to be able to tell what the next column will be as I scroll through the horizontal axis so that I can have some text that will tell the users what the names of all the columns they can't see are.
Anyone know if this is possible? As I watch the the inspector and scroll through the columns, I see html attributes changing.
---UPDATE 1----
This is what is all looks like (where it says "home #" is dynamic and will change to show the next column that is out of site)
Based on the ui-grid configuration that you use to render the grid, you already know the order of the columns. You can use this information together with the visible on each column added by the gird itself.
What you need to do is bind a event handler on scroll to iterate over the columns on each change and check the visibility of them. Then the first one with visible === false is the upcoming.
Here is a working Plunker where is used this flag.

How to create pass with custom design?

Have a pass with Store Card style. How can I add 2nd row with data and change the label position (label should be below the value)? When I add second item in secondaryFields array it inserts the item in the 2nd column, the same row. Thanks.
Image as example:
If you have a look here "Pass Style Sets the Overall Visual Appearance":
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/PassKit_PG/Chapters/Creating.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012195-CH4-SW45
It gives an overview of what fields are allowed on the different pass types.
To achieve what you describe you want to make the pass a generic pass and specify both secondary and auxiliary fields.
To switch the label to be below the data, you need to flip the values when specifying them, so set label ="Gold" and the value="Level". However it will still have the same formatting (the top one will still be smaller text)

Blackberry complex list

I've got an interesting problem that I'd like some advice and opinions on if you would be so kind. I'm not after code as I prefer to write that for myself. My background is J2ME and Android but I've recently taken up Blackberry.
What I need to write is something akin to the Android ListView albeit a little simpler.
Each row consists of 3 items. There's an image/icon, a multi-line (2 or 3 row) text element and an imagebutton of some form.
However, each row has only 2 columns. The icon/image & multi-line text are combined for the first column and are clickable (with both the column (0) plus the row ID identifiable). The next element in the row (1) is a clickable image (common to all rows - this also needs to have an identifiable row ID). There must be different actions for each column/row cell.
There is a need for multiple rows to be scrollable vertically and there may well be a lot of items. Each row needs to fit the screen width with the icon/multi-line text justified to the left and the clickable image justified to the right. Each row needs all of its components vertically justified (possibly centred) for neatness.
So what we have (for a row) is:
[clickable image/multi-line text combo][clickable image]
Ideally there will be a common background (gradient shaded) for each row once focussed. This should span both columns seamlessly.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
The simplest approach is probably to have a VerticalFieldManager for the list, populated by HorizontalFieldManagers for the row.
As for the inner part of the row (the columns) you can pass FIELD_LEFT to the first field and FIELD_RIGHT for the second for alignment. The image-multitext field you can create yourself by extending ButtonField and overriding the paint method. You can use the Graphics object to draw your image and text. A different approach (and perhaps a simpler one) is to extend the HorizontalFieldManager, add your components and make it clickable by capturing the click events.
One thing to realize about Blackberry is that there are many ways to do something, if one thing doesn't work quite the way you want it to, try something different. Hope this help you get started!

Set the content of a cell to a function?

I have a spreadsheet in which I want to be able to expand the number of columns using a function rather than using auto-fill because the new cells are getting filled with content based on complex formulas and depending on a lot of things.
In one of these cells I want the content to be something like =SUM(A1:A8)
But if I just do cell.setValue("=SUM(A1:A8)") I get "error: Unknown range name A1", unless I afterwards edit the cell content and press enter, without really having changed its content.
Is there any way of fixing this?
I don't want the calculation to be in the expand-columns-function because I do want the cell-calculation to be updated when one of the referenced cells change.
Is there a way of doing it besides having an onEdit-function listening to changes in the referenced cells and updating the calculations?
Thanks
To set a formula on a cell you should use cell.setFormula not setValue.
I'm not sure I understood you "expand" issue completely, but I think an opened range sum function may suit you better than apps-script. e.g.
=SUM(A:A) or =SUM(A2:A)
