How to import a Jenkin's Plugin Configuration to another Instance - jenkins

Other than installing the plugin in the new Jenkins instance and configuring with the same options, is there another method of migrating/importing plugin configurations?

I figured it out:
After you save Jenkins Settings (in the GUI) once, it will generate xml files for the plugin configurations in $JENKINSHOME.
Should have known I was working with docker jenkins.

How to deploy jar from jenkins to remote window server

I have a build jar in Jenkins .I need to deploy the jar into windows VM Machine..I have tried lot of options but i couldn't achieve. Kindly suggest me .. Guidance much appreciate.
I assume that your have an Spring boot executable jar. I'm also assuming that you have jar file located in central repo such as Nexus or Artifactory.
In this case, create a write declarative or scripted pipeline. In one of the build steps execute a batch file with the command below.
java -jar <YourJarFile>.jar
Also make sure the installed java version classpath is set.

Loading Custom jar files in Jenkins without the Classpath Field

How can I load a custom jar file for my Jenkins Jobs DSL groovy scripts without the classpath field?
I've inherited a Jenkins instance. This Jenkins instance has an older version of the Jenkins Jobs DSL plugin. This version of the jobs plugin has a class path fields
By loading this jar file, my script (in the DSL Scripts) has additional symbols/classes it may import.
However, the latest versions of the Jenkins Jobs DSL have removed this class path field. The impression I get from the mailing list) is this was done for security reasons.
Without this option, is it possible to set a different class path (or include extra jar files in my Jenkins Jobs DSL groovy scripts without this field?
No, there isn't any direct option available. Following are the options available
Option 1: As Daniel has suggested (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/job-dsl-plugin/lYgX3boW0Pk) , you can use the Script Security Plugin to add custom classpath and include the jar(s). The only overhead with this approach is, even if there is a minor difference in the jar, an approval would be required.
Option 2(Least Preferred, Last Option): If you are running Jenkins under a company network and if your confident on security, then you can consider to uncheck the Enable Security for Job DSL from Jenkins-> Configure Global Secutiry

Missing Ant Global Tool Configuration in Jenkins

Why doesn't the Ant Configuration in my Jenkins appear under Global Tool Configuration?
See the image below:
There are only tabs for JDK and Maven.
In the other references I checked, there are others like Git and Ant, etc.
Make sure that the Ant Plugin is installed in your Jenkins instance. Go to Manage Jenkins -> Manage Plugins and search for the plugin there under the Available tab.

Remove Jenkins Plugins via Script

Does anyone know how I can remove jenkins plugins from a script? I know there is no CLI command that exists for it. But was wondering, maybe you can just delete the plugin folder, and attempt to delete all associated data.
Reason I want this, is I want to develop a script that will run nightly. It will scan each Jenkins server, remove plugins if not found in file stored in GIT, it will add plugins if new ones are added, and upgrade or downgrade other plugins if the version doesn't match. The goal is to keep all Jenkins servers in sync as far as plugins go.
Any thoughts on how I can achieve this goal?
groovy script for removing a plugin:
String pluginNameToRemove = "myPluginToRemove"
def jenkins = Jenkins.getInstance()
def pluginManager = jenkins.getPluginManager()
def pluginWrapperToUninstall = pluginManager.getPlugin(pluginNameToRemove)
pluginWrapperToUninstall.doDoUninstall()
You can also remove the content of the plugins folder, download all the plugins you want according to the file, copy them to the plugins folder and restart jenkins. (We have a very similar flow on our environment for deploying jenkins instances)

Jenkins Email-ext plugin is no longer visible in the project's post build options

Does any one have any idea what could have happened to Jenkins Email-ext? We have had this plugin working just fine for over two years and all of sudden our entire configs for this plugin have disappeared from all of our projects. We tried to uninstall and re-install the plugin but that didn't make any difference.
Once you install this plugin there should be a checkbox under "Post-build Actions" section in the projects config page to enable it but this option is not shown any longer here. Any idea?
Thanks!
This issue was fixed by following the below steps:
Uninstall email-ext plugin from Jenkins
Stop Jenkins services. (Run > Services.msc) find Jenkins and stop it
Go to Jenkins home (base folder) > Plugins and remove any instances of email-ext plugin (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Jenkins\plugins)
Restart Jenkins
Install email-ext plugin again
And now everything should be working OK again!
if you haven't upgraded your jenkins then the issue might be a different one , just to make sure email configuration section has completely removed from your job , check the config.xml of your jenkins job for the keyword [email-ext].
how to check job's config.xml from GUI ?
simple click on configure link of your job you will be redirected to something like below
http://yourserver/job/jobname/configure
now change the last part of url [configure to config.xml] resulting in something like below
http://yourserver/job/jobname/config.xml
now search for keywords like email and email-ext , if you did not find anything then email-ext plugin is not functioning or its has completely removed the email configuration from your job , if you find an entry , do a uninstall /install and then try a restart of jenkins might resolve your problem , or else you can try the option of reloading configuration from disk.
