I am using Xcode 10.0 on macOs 10.13.6, in past several days I am facing issue on xcode simulator that "Simulator shows black screen always" Even not showing boot screen when device boot or simulator boots
Xcode still shows Launching, Attaching application to simulator
Even XCode shows Running of on Device still black screen
Note: It is not issue of lock button simulator tried it also.
Tried multiple solutions including Simulator > Reset content and setting. ,

splash screen logo image not shown using xcode 10 in swift

I got solution for my problem by restarting testing device.
See previous answers here: iOS Keeping old launch screen and app icon after update
You don't specify in the question if you're running on a real device or simulator, but if simulator make sure you do 'Erase All Content And Settings' from the 'Hardware' menu. The simulator is not an emulator and doesn't always behave the same as a real device.

Xcode simulator doesn't work

I use Xcode 7.2. I click Build to run the iPhone 6 PLUS simulator in Xcode it tells me "running app on iPhone 6 Plus". The simulator icon appears and it either just jumps up and down and never stops. Or it stops jumping I open it it's a black simulator screen with a white apple symbol. Then I wait 5-10 minutes and it never loads the app. Sometimes it loads up to home screen in simulator but then again never loads the app.
What could be the reasons for this iPhone simulator not working?
Do you have the simulator open from a beta version? That will stop the simulator from working in a non-beta version (or vice-versa).
I'd also open up Console.app and see if there is anything in the logs with a reason why it might not be running.

iOS simulator showing black on 3/4 of screen

I tried several apps running in fresh install (yosemite) of Xcode 6.3 simulator but all of them displays only on first 1/4 of simulator screen.
I changed scaling - did not help.
All devices have this problem.
On another mac the apps are displaying in simulator correctly.
Here the screenshot from simulator:
I frequently have this issue with a VMWare OSX development machine I'm using to develop iOS native apps. From what I've seen it is related to the Window > Scale menu option being set to something different than 100% from a previous launch that messes around all the subsequent initialization phases.
To get rid of it, try doing this:
Exit from VMWare full-screen mode, switching to windowed mode instead.
launch iOS Simulator using its stand-alone shortcut (not from XCode) and wait until it finishes loading/booting the default device.
go to Window > Scale and set it to 100%.
go to iOS Simulator > Reset contents and settings... and click OK.
close and reopen the iOS Simulator using its stand-alone app (not from XCode).
As soon as you see it loading without the glitch, you can switch back to VMWare full-screen mode and also use the Window > Scale as you like.

iOS Simulator displaying white screen (only in simulator, screen shot shows UI)

After researching previous topics on this issue, I can't seem to find an answer for my problem.
Xcode Version Version 6.1.1 (6A2008a), OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2 (14C109)
I just finished creating my first simple application in Xcode using the Single View App template, but cannot get the iOS simulator to get past a blank white screen, no matter how long I wait.
Here's a screen shot of my main.storyboard UI/Assistant editor:
It will however sometimes display the copyright information.
Here's what I've tried already:
Made sure my Main Interface was set to Main (main.storyboard)
Waited for an hour+ for iOS simulator to load and it never did
Tried Reset Content and Settings in the iOS simulator and then tried simulator again
Tried different devices besides iPhone 6 as target devices to simulate and I was able to get the iPhone 5s simulator to display the button, but only the button.
Uninstalled Xcode by moving to the bin, emptied trash, reinstalled from App Store
Now it gets even more strange, If I run the simulator using iPhone 6 as my target device and take a screen shot of my simulation, every object appears normally in the screen shot but NOT in the simulator (still just a blank white screen). Here's that screen shot:
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

iOS 7.1 simulator on XCode 5.1.1 doesn't launch, shows a black screen

So it just never launches, even without a project when I just want to start the simulator from XCode, all I get is the phone with a black screen in it, the home button will not even work, the screen remains black forever
However if I just go to hardware -> device -> iOS 6.1 to switch the iOS version to 6.1 instead of 7.1, it will launch the home screen, so it must be an issue with the 7.1 simulator that came with the fresh XCode install (5.1.1) And I got the iOS 6.1 simulator using the XCode downloads.
What I tried doing:
iOS Simulator -> Reset Content and Settings..
Restarting the computer
Deleting everything in /Users/xxx/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator
Thanks!
