is there anybody who knows when google-cloud-composer will be available on europe-west-3 ?
Thanks a lot for your help,
The global expansion of Cloud Composer is underway. Composer just added support for Mumbai and additional regions are planned in Q1 2018 and Q1 2019. By the end of Q1 2019 Cloud Composer will likely roll out with new regions as they are made available.
At the moment, europe-west-3 is likely to be available in early 2020.

I am working with a computer that has a windows viewer license but I have to do a couple of design things with windows maker. Is there a way to get in with a demo license to do them? In ifix for example you can enter as a demo for 2 hours. Is there something like it for wonder?
Thank you.
You can open the demo mode as long as the application has less than 32 tags defined. Otherwise you need yo contact your local distributor since they are who can decide if providing or not a demo license to you
If you have an active customer first contract, you will probably get the license. Otherwise it is up to your local distributor.
As far as I know there are no 2 hours demo licenses. A demo license is for 1 calendar month, i.e. expires at the end of the month when it was obtained.
Wonderware is now owned by Aveva and the licensing model has been changing over last couple years, but the last time I checked (1 year ago) it was still possible to obtain a 1 month demo license as a file, and activate it using Aveva License Manager (formerly Schneider Electric License Manager) installed locally.
I think to get a demo license you'll need to register with Aveva support center https://softwaresupportsp.aveva.com/ I'm not sure though about legality of using a demo license for making changes to an application used commercially... you'd need to read their T&Cs.
Hi everyone I am new to OpenNMS and for now I am in learning phase. I have request from one of my client to done some research on the following two thing.
1- Can we do Industrial IOT with OpenNMS
2- Private LTE mobility and Monitoring of devices
I have very short time to conclude the result and give it back to the client. Although I searched myself for these points but I cannot conclude because I have not in depth understanding for OpenNMS for now. So my questions is can we do these features in OpenNMS. Its really helpful If someone with more experience in OpenNMS share his thoughts. Please don't consider the details about devices and their protocol I just want to know if OpenNMS is capable for doing industrial IOT for oil, gas and mining sectors.
Note: My client already have NMS build in OpenNMS that is why he is interested in OpenNMS for these features.
There is a MQTT Plugin developed which allows to consume event data and performance data over MQTT. Craig Gallen is the main author and gave a talk about OpenNMS and IoT capabilities at our conference. I personally gave it a try and got it work with Mosquitto MQTT broker and some sensor using Home Assistent. I've documented my findings here: https://pad.no42.org/uHN8csNkQB23rJsgt62SlQ.
The plugin is in early stage and need probably some more iterations. I hope the information help you to get more ideas where OpenNMS is heading. Feel free for more questions in our chat in channel opennms-discussion.
I've been involved with using OpenNMS for IoT data collection for years. Also a professional geologist having worked in O&G and mining. Short answer is yes.
I installed devstack,Now I am trying to connect devstack through jcloud heat api.Can anyone can share any sample application or code for heat api implementation.
Thanks
jclouds doesn't support the OpenStack Heat API at this time. Please feel free to open an issue in our JIRA issue tracker. It also helps us if you specify which API calls are most important to you so we can prioritize those.
There is a prerequisite to acquire the proper license of highstock before using the Netflix ICE. I do not want to invest any money into it, just want to explore the features of ICE.
Do I have to buy a proper licence of highstock before using Netflix ICE?
If you want to test and try netflix ice OSS locally or for personal use then no, you don't need to spend cash as it is clearly mentioned on their site[http://www.highcharts.com/products/highcharts/#non-commercial] also.
But if you're using netflix ice commercially then you have to buy appropriate license from highcharts. It is more of a license usage question so may be you try reading about the license details highcharts is using, that weather the free version of highcharts can be used with the production environment of Netflix OSS project.
SymmetricDS has an android sqlite implementation that is awesome.
I was wondering if i could do the same with iOS .
I couldn't find anything on their website or on google (basic search spent around an hour).
Also, I was hoping someone could tell me if i could synch the iOS sqlite from a remote instance of SymmetricDS and, as to whether this is a good idea.
Not yet. SymmetricDS uses Java, which iOS does not support.
However, if you look at this slide deck from April 2013, it says "iOS (Coming Soon)":
https://www.percona.com/live/mysql-conference-2013/sites/default/files/slides/JumpMind%20SymmetricDS%20Percona%20Live.pdf
Ios feature has been assigned on their roadmap:
http://www.symmetricds.org/issues/roadmap_page.php
As of some time well after this question was asked, they did provide an embedded C solution.
See the docs here
A minimal implementation of the SymmetricDS client is written in C, which includes a shared library named "libsymclient" and a command line executable named "sym" for synchronizing a database. It currently only supports the SQLite database.
As SymmetricDS is released under GPL you would need a commercial license.
