AVPlayer and Uiview animation issue - ios

I have a view controller with 3 components:
1) Tableview
2) UIView (on Tableview)
3) AVPlayerLayer inside UIView
When I scroll tableview I want a resize of UIView and its layer (AVPlayerLayer) and and this I managed to do it.
My problem is that the resize of the view happens in a non-synchronous way with that of the layer while I would like that while the view gets smaller even the layer would follow the shrinking of the view itself.
Here is a video that shows the behavior I get: https://streamable.com/s/z4yc2/eakmvv
This is the viewcontroller's code:
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
self.lastContentOffset = 0;
[self setupPlayer];
[self.table reloadData];
}
-(void)setupPlayer
{
AVAsset *asset = [AVAsset assetWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"testurlvideostreaming"]];
AVPlayerItem *playerItem = [[AVPlayerItem alloc] initWithAsset:asset];
AVPlayer * avPlayer = [AVPlayer playerWithPlayerItem:playerItem];
self.avPlayerLayer = [AVPlayerLayer playerLayerWithPlayer:avPlayer];
self.avPlayerLayer.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, self.viewStreaming.frame.size.width, self.viewStreaming.frame.size.height);
[self.avPlayerLayer setBackgroundColor:[UIColor grayColor].CGColor];
[self.viewStreaming.layer addSublayer:self.avPlayerLayer];
[avPlayer play];
}
- (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didEndDisplayingCell:(UITableViewCell *)cell forRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
if ([tableView.indexPathsForVisibleRows indexOfObject:indexPath] == NSNotFound &&
indexPath.row >= 5 &&
self.lastContentOffset < tableView.contentOffset.y)
{
float percentage = .7f;
int width = 50;
int height = width;
int xPosition = self.viewStreaming.superview.frame.size.width - width;
int yPosition = self.viewStreaming.superview.frame.size.height * ((1 - percentage) / 2);
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:1];
[UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseIn];
self.viewStreaming.frame = CGRectMake(xPosition, yPosition, width, height);
self.avPlayerLayer.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, self.viewStreaming.frame.size.width, self.viewStreaming.frame.size.height);
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
}

Animation on AVPlayerViewController not synchronized

I have a AVPlayerViewController that I create in this way:
-(void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated
{
[super viewWillAppear:animated];
NSURL *videoURL = [NSURL URLWithString:#"testURL"];
AVPlayer *player = [AVPlayer playerWithURL:videoURL];
AVPlayerViewController *playerViewController = [AVPlayerViewController new];
playerViewController.player = player;
[playerViewController.player play];
[playerViewController.view setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 300, 300)];
[self.view addSubview:playerViewController.view];
[self addChildViewController:playerViewController];
int width = 100;
int height = 150;
int xPosition = self.view.frame.size.width - width;
int yPosition = 100;
[UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:2];
[UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseIn];
playerViewController.view.frame = CGRectMake(xPosition, yPosition, width, height);
[UIView commitAnimations];
}
My problem is that in this way I get this:
the playerViewController.view's animation is not synchronized with the
video and the playerViewController.view slowly reduces while the video
is immediately reduced.
I don't understand why.
if you need it I can link a video of what I get

iOS 9 AVPlayer rotation trouble

I have some strange thing - after rotating of AVPlayer, I'm updating textField and slider of progress by timer, but view with controllers change coordinates after AVPlayer
mPlayer = [[AVPlayer alloc] init];
mPlayer = [mPlayer initWithURL:streamURL];
playerLayer = [AVPlayerLayer playerLayerWithPlayer:mPlayer];
[[[self view] layer] insertSublayer:playerLayer atIndex:0];
[playerLayer setFrame:self.view.bounds];
rotating
-(void) didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOrientation
{
playerLayer.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height - self.ButtonsView.frame.size.height);
if([[UIDevice currentDevice]orientation]==UIDeviceOrientationLandscapeLeft||[[UIDevice currentDevice]orientation]==UIDeviceOrientationLandscapeRight)
{
self.ButtonsView.frame = CGRectMake((self.view.frame.size.width - self.ButtonsView.frame.size.width) /2, playerLayer.frame.size.height, self.view.frame.size.width, self.ButtonsView.frame.size.height);
}
}
and after change of timer, coordinates of ButtonView became wrong
- (void)updateTime:(NSTimer *)timer {
self.tfCurrent.text = [self textFormatting : self.videoCurrentTime];
}
first second coords are good. Why my View redraw? thanks!

UIScrollView's "pull up to load more" and “pull down to go back" causes flickering (with sample codes)

I’m working on a UI effect, with “pull up to load more” and “pull down to go back”.
It should works like: When user pull theUIScrollView up by a certain distance, a load-more action is triggered, and lower half of theUIScrollView’s content would be scrolled into visible area. After that, if user pull down thescrollView by a distance, it should roll back to the upper half.
I have implemented it by settingcontentInsets of theUIScrollView when dragging triggered the action.
The problem is that at the time of changing of thescrollView’s contentInsets, it flickers. I printed some logs and found that it is caused by an unusually jump ofcontentOffset.y whencontentInsets changes! But I don’t know why.
The following are simplified but enoughViewController codes for reproducing the issue. With logs you can see clearly what happens.
Could someone helps me to solve it?
#import "IssueShowcaseViewController.h"
#interface IssueShowcaseViewController () <UIScrollViewDelegate>
{
BOOL _isShowingUpperView;
}
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIScrollView* scrollView;
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIView* upperView;
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIView* lowerView;
#end
#implementation IssueShowcaseViewController
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];
self.scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
self.upperView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:self.scrollView.bounds];
self.lowerView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectOffset(self.scrollView.bounds, 0, self.scrollView.bounds.size.height)];
[self.upperView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blueColor]];
[self.lowerView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor greenColor]];
//Add upperView to upper half, and lowerView to lower half:
[self.scrollView addSubview:self.upperView];
[self.scrollView addSubview:self.lowerView];
[self.view addSubview:self.scrollView];
_isShowingUpperView = YES;
self.scrollView.delegate = self;
// Observe scrollView.contentOffset for watching unnormal changes:
[self.scrollView addObserver:self forKeyPath:#"contentOffset" options:NSKeyValueObservingOptionNew | NSKeyValueObservingOptionOld context:nil];
// Set contentSize as the sum height of two subviews:
self.scrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(self.view.frame.size.width, CGRectGetMaxY(self.lowerView.frame) - CGRectGetMinY(self.upperView.frame));
// But the contentInset is set as to not allow scrolling into lower half:
// 1-pixel more space is necessary, as the scrollView would not be able to scroll downwards without it:
self.scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 1-self.lowerView.frame.size.height, 0);
}
- (void) scrollViewDidEndDragging:(UIScrollView *)scrollView willDecelerate:(BOOL)decelerate {
if (_isShowingUpperView)
{
if (scrollView.contentOffset.y > 60)
{
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(1-self.upperView.frame.size.height, 0, 0, 0);
_isShowingUpperView = NO;
}
}
else
{
if (scrollView.contentOffset.y < self.upperView.frame.size.height - 60)
{
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 1-self.lowerView.frame.size.height, 0);
_isShowingUpperView = YES;
}
}
}
#pragma mark Here we can see what happens:
- (void) scrollViewDidScroll:(UIScrollView *)scrollView {
NSLog(#"contentOffsetY = %f", scrollView.contentOffset.y);
}
- (void) observeValueForKeyPath:(NSString *)keyPath ofObject:(id)object change:(NSDictionary *)change context:(void *)context {
if (object == self.scrollView) {
CGPoint oldOffset = [[change objectForKey:#"old"] CGPointValue];
CGPoint newOffset = [[change objectForKey:#"new"] CGPointValue];
if (fabs(newOffset.y - oldOffset.y) > 300) {
NSLog(#"Weird: %#", change);
}
}
}
#end
After so many tries, I have found a solution: First set a zero contentInsets in an animation block, then in the completion block, set the new contentInsets and correct contentOffset:
- (void) scrollViewDidEndDragging:(UIScrollView *)scrollView willDecelerate:(BOOL)decelerate {
if (_isShowingUpperView)
{
if (scrollView.contentOffset.y > 60)
{
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.0f animations:^{
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 0, 0);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.3f animations:^{
scrollView.contentOffset = CGPointMake(0, self.upperView.frame.size.height);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(1-self.upperView.frame.size.height, 0, 0, 0);
}];
}];
_isShowingUpperView = NO;
}
}
else
{
if (scrollView.contentOffset.y < self.upperView.frame.size.height - 60)
{
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.0f animations:^{
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 0, 0);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.3f animations:^{
scrollView.contentOffset = CGPointMake(0, 0);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
scrollView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 1-self.lowerView.frame.size.height, 0);
}];
}];
_isShowingUpperView = YES;
}
}
}

ActionsheetPicker is blank

I have ActionSheetPicker working in a test project, but when I try and paste the same code into my existing project I see this:
I'm the sample code from their example page verbatim:
NSArray *colors = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:#"Red", #"Green", #"Blue", #"Orange", nil];
[ActionSheetStringPicker showPickerWithTitle:#"Select a Color"
rows:colors
initialSelection:0
doneBlock:nil
cancelBlock:nil
origin:sender];
Any ideas?
Actually there is problem with iOS 8 .same code will work in iOS 7 from here after
UIActionSheet is not designed to be subclassed, nor should you add views to its hierarchy. If you need to present a sheet with more customization than provided by the UIActionSheet API, you can create your own and present it modally with presentViewController:animated:completion:
UIActionSheet is not designed to be subclassed. Create your own action sheet.

Finally use this Custom Action Sheet in your view controller (ie. in your button action). Add your picker view as subview of innerView
UIInterfaceOrientation statusBarOrientation = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] statusBarOrientation];
CGRect screenRect = [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds];
float width = 0;
if (UIInterfaceOrientationIsPortrait(statusBarOrientation)) {
width = CGRectGetWidth(screenRect);
} else {
width = CGRectGetHeight(screenRect);
}
CustomActionSheet *actionSheet = [[CustomActionSheet alloc] init];
UIView *innerView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, width, 216)];
[innerView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor greenColor]];
[innerView setAutoresizingMask:UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth];
[actionSheet setDelegate:self];
[actionSheet addContentView:innerView];
[innerView addSubview:self.colorsPickerView]; // Added your picker view here
[self.actionSheet showInView:self.view];
Add delegate method to view controller. While closing the action sheet the below delegate method will be called.
- (void) CustomActionSheetDoneWithUserInfo:(NSDictionary *)userInfo
{
NSLog(#"i am in delegate method of CustomAction sheet");
}
Customize the above code as per your requirement.
It's a bit silly, but I was using an outdated version of ActionSheetPicker. You want to be sure you download the branch from https://github.com/skywinder/ActionSheetPicker-3.0 .

Second ScrollView doesn't zoom or scroll

I have two Scroll View's in a xib, and they both contain a very large image that should start with it completely scaled down to fit. The first ScrollView works perfectly, objects are all moving around correctly when you zoom or scroll, but the second ScrollView starts completely zoomed in, unable to zoom out.
The ScrollView is now showing 25% of the image(completely zoomed in at 0,0) and also cannot be dragged to see the rest. If I pinch to zoom, the image moves diagonally up and left without zooming at all, I can now drag the image back to 0,0 and back down the the max point it scrolled diagonally.

I've run into a similar issue with scrollViews. Basically, as far as I can tell, only the last scrollView added to the window will respond as a scrollView.
You can produce the same effect with any other type of object being added to the window before the scrollView.
Example :
[[self window] addSubview:logo];
[[self window] addSubview:scrollView];
Will work, but:
[[self window] addSubview:scrollView];
[[self window] addSubview:logo];
will not. (Currently running against iOS 6.1.2 and xCode 4.6.1)
