FlexBox doesn't work with iPhone 6 - ios

Having very weird problem with FlexBox testing on a iPhone6.
On iPhone6 the FlexBox elements are not shown at all. As I understand they are hidden beneath each other.
As I don't own such device - I can't test it... I've used some online browser testers with trial subscription.
I've made this jsFiddle:
.flex-container {
display:-webkit-box;
display:flex;
display: -ms-flexbox;
-ms-flex-wrap: wrap;
-o-flex-wrap: wrap;
flex-wrap:wrap;
-ms-flex-wrap: wrap;
text-align:center;
-webkit-box-pack: center;
-ms-flex-pack: center;
justify-content: center;
color: #fff;
}
.flex-container .item h2{
font-size: 1.1em;
font-weight: 300;
}
.flex-container>div {
-webkit-box-flex: 0;
-ms-flex: 0 1 50%;
flex: 0 1 50%;
-webkit-box-sizing:border-box;
box-sizing:border-box;
max-width: 50%;
}
.flex-container .item:first-child {
background: #986a4b;
display: -webkit-box;
display: -ms-flexbox;
display: flex;
-webkit-box-pack: center;
-ms-flex-pack: center;
justify-content: center;
-webkit-box-align: center;
-ms-flex-align: center;
align-items: center;
text-align: left;
}
.flex-container .item.third, .flex-container .item.third article{
background: #fff;
color:#986a4b;
}
.flex-container .item:nth-child(4) {
display: -webkit-box;
display: -ms-flexbox;
display: flex;
}
/*IE11*/
.flex-container .item .first{height: /*100%;*/ auto; min-height: 1px;}
.flex-container .item img {
width: 100%;
}
.flex-container .item:not(img){
padding: 1em;
}
.flex-container .item {
display: -webkit-box;
display: -ms-flexbox;
display: flex;
-webkit-box-pack: center;
-ms-flex-pack: center;
justify-content: center;
-webkit-box-orient: vertical;
-webkit-box-direction: normal;
-ms-flex-direction: column;
flex-direction: column;
text-align: center;
color: #fff;
font-size: 0.9em;
}
.flex-container .item {
background: #fff;
}
.flex-container .margin{padding:60px;}
.flex-container article {
color: #9f6a4a;
}
#media screen and (max-width: 1000px){
.flex-container .item .box .inner{font-size:1.5em;}
.flex-container .item{-webkit-box-flex:1;-ms-flex:1 0 100%;flex:1 0 100%;}
}
#media screen and (max-width: 600px){
.flex-container {
-webkit-box-orient: vertical;
-webkit-box-direction: normal;
-ms-flex-direction: column;
flex-direction: column;
}
}
Through a browserstack it seems to work well.
But on my live website it doesn't... The code is the same. I really don't understand how to fix it.. Already used such hacks such as min-height: 1px but no luck...

replaced dispaly: flex;
with display: -webkit-flex
solved it for me

Could be resolved in two ways:
1). shorthand: flex: 1 1;
2). -webkit-flex: 1 1 100%;

Why does the input box keep glitching on iOS but not on Android?

Does anyone know why the input box might be glitching only on iOS but works fine on Android? I have attached two videos for better explanation of this problem. Basically on iOS I would have to tap the input field twice for it to go into 'active' state and afterwards when I try type it zooms in so much into the screen to type. No issues like this in the browser as well.

Safari. Cursor in input of the form is near the input

I develop in Django framework. In IOS, Safari I have a bug with input cursor in markup like in this screenshot (cursor is outside input control when I type text in control):
. Other browsers look good - no bug. I have a following html code in my project:
<form id="loginForm" name="authorization">
{% verbatim %}
<div class="error-message" ng-if="wrongUserPass" id="authErrorPath">{{ loginErrorMess }}</div>
{% endverbatim %}
<div class="form-group form-field-group_inline" ng-if="!user_is_authenticated && auth_step1">
<input class="form-field signinPhone with_ccode" id="id_phone" ng-model="loginForm.loginPhone" bad-gentlemen-mask="+7 (***) ***-**-**" autocomplete="off" name="phone" placeholder="телефон" type="text" my-enter="" value='' {% if mobile == True %} scroll-on-focus {% endif %} />
</div>
</form>
Cursor appears like here, but I don't understnand how to fix this issue.
Following css code (from chrome developer tools) corresponds input control with id=id_phone:
.form-field:focus, .form-field:hover {

Please, help, who knows. Thanks.
Privet Alexander, I had the same problem. This is an iOS bug that occurs if your <input> field is in a container (div etc) with the css property position: fixed. I had my <body> tag css'ed with position: fixed and had to change it to something else, i.e. to position: absolute.
Some other workarounds are described here:

How to present all CSS features in NSAttributedString

In my app I need to present an HTML file in TextView not in WebView, and this file has a complex CSS, not just text color, bold, etc.
My CSS is like the one below:

I searched a lot on how to present full CSS in UITextView, and I found answers like this one but all these answers defined how to add simple CSS.
Does anyone try to add complex CSS to UITExtView before? Are there any libraries support this features?

IOS safari html5 video player controls over play button

I'm developing a mobile application with cordova for, amongst others, IOS. In this application I'm using the HTML5 video player, but on my iPhone as well as my iPad the controls are situated OVER the play button. I can still press the play button, but seeking is harder than normal, and it just looks weird.
Does anybody have an idea on why this is and what I can do to solve this? Thanks.
Edit lib/ionic/css/ionic.css and remove/comment out the conflicting style attributes for input[range] Keep in mind that you will have to replicate the change in ionic.min.css for prod builds and/or if you update the ionic framework. Obviously you will have to come up with something less blunt if you are using or planning on using the Ionic framework's range input control styles.

CSS background image not showing up on rails site

I'm trying to use the background-image css property with a website I'm building with Ruby on Rails.

The most correct way:
background-image: url(<%= asset_path 'upload.png' %>)
See the Guide for details: http://guides.rubyonrails.org/asset_pipeline.html#coding-links-to-assets (sec. 2.2.1 CSS and ERB)
NOTE: If you're doing this in your application.css then add .erb extension to it to become application.css.erb
if somebody comes by and still looking for an answer and you're using SASS and bootstrap, you can try
background: image-url('bgImage.jpg');
that worked for me. You can as well take a look on http://guides.rubyonrails.org/asset_pipeline.html#coding-links-to-assets as jdoe mentioned.
You need to point to the image path correctly. It should be:
background: url(/assets/url.png);
Try using the Inspector in Google Chrome - useful for checking resources like this that are called by CSS.
I have had the similar problem and I found that the following code works
background-image: url('/assets/xyz.jpg');
you probably need to change the path to the image. Where is the css file in relation to the images folder, eg app/assets/css/style.css.
If it is here then your path the the upload.png will be background: url(../images/upload.png); background: url(/images/upload.png); or background: url(images/upload.png);
You shouldn't have to change the extention to your custom.css.scss or your importantly no need to add erb to the scss file
in application.css file in your /assets/stylesheets directory
all you need is an element
html{
background: url('/images/test.jpg');
text-align:center;
color:#fff;
}
Poss your css file, move the
try
background: white;z-index:-1;
