I have declared UIImageView using lazy var,
I want to set x position of redArrowImage according to it's superView which will be define at run time.
lazy var redArrowImage: UIImageView = {
let imageView = UIImageView(image: UIImage(named: "red"))
imageView.frame = CGRect(x: self.goButton.frame.size.width - 25, y: 12, width: 15, height: 15)
imageView.contentMode = .scaleAspectFit
return imageView
}()
I have used self.superview.frame.size.width - 25 but it not works :(
imageView.frame = CGRect(x: self.superview.frame.size.width - 25, y: 12, width: 15, height: 15)
Any idea ?

I am adding images to scrollview but just getting one image in the scrollview, I dont know why I am not seing any other images but just empty scroll except one image
This is what I have tried
in viewdidload
imageScroll = UIScrollView(frame: CGRect(x: 10, y: 320, width: 230, height: 250))
imageScroll.contentSize = CGSize(width: 250, height: 2000)
imageScroll.backgroundColor = .white
in function
for (b,c) in zip(photoGotArray, 0..<totalPhotosGot) {
photoDataVarOk = UserDefaults.standard.object(forKey: b) as? NSData
newImageView = UIImageView(frame: CGRect(x: 10, y: 50, width: 230, height: 200))
newImageView.viewWithTag(c)
newImageView.image = UIImage(data: photoDataVarOk! as Data)
self.imageScroll.addSubview(newImageView)
}
here is the image with just one image and rest of the empty scrollview
You need to change the Y to be incrementing as according to your code all images have the same frame
let newImageView = UIImageView(frame: CGRect(x: 10, y: 50 + ( 200 * i ) , width: 230, height: 200))
set i as you want or from the loop parameters
//
for (c,b) in photoGotArray.enumerated() {
photoDataVarOk = UserDefaults.standard.data(forKey: b)
let newImageView = UIImageView(frame: CGRect(x: 10, y: 50 + ( 200 * c), width: 230, height: 200))
newImageView.viewWithTag(c)
newImageView.image = UIImage(data: photoDataVarOk!)
self.imageScroll.addSubview(newImageView)
}
let newImageView = UIImageView()
newImageView = UIImageView(frame: CGRect(x: 10, y: yourImageHight * (indexLoop), width: 230, height: 200))
in your loop
I am trying to create the following registration form . I cant set the space between the textfield image and the placeholder text . I've tried the following :
Email_text.placeholderRect(forBounds: CGRect(x: 10, y: 0 , width: 60, height: 50))
any idea how can I fix this ?
Thanks
You can simply do like this, an extension for UITextField
extension UITextField {
func setTextIconAndPlaceholder(icon: UIImage, placeholder: String) {
let imageView = UIImageView()
imageView.image = icon
imageView.frame = CGRect(x: 0, y: 0, width: 20, height: 20)
let view = UIView()
view.frame = CGRect(x: 0, y: 2, width: 25, height: 25)
view.backgroundColor = UIColor.clear
view.addSubview(imageView)
self.leftView = view
self.leftViewMode = UITextFieldViewMode.always
self.placeholder = placeholder
}
}
I'm new to Swift. I have set my top bar programmatically.It works fine for all versions except for iOS version 11.
I want to change the background color of the safe area in iPhone X. Presently I have just added the following code to hide the status bar.
override var prefersStatusBarHidden: Bool {
return true
}
I have created top bar using code:
//Top Bar
let topBar = UIView(frame:CGRect(x: 0,y: 0, width: width, height: 60))
topBar.backgroundColor = UIColor.white
topBar.layer.shadowColor = UIColor.gray.cgColor
topBar.layer.shadowOffset = CGSize(width: 0, height: 3)
topBar.layer.shadowOpacity = 1
topBar.layer.masksToBounds = false
topBar.layer.shadowRadius = 8.0;
//ImageView - Back Button
let backBtn = UIButton(frame:CGRect(x: 25, y: 18, width: 18, height: 34))
let backBtnImage = UIImage(named: "back_button") as UIImage?
backBtn.setImage(backBtnImage, for: .normal)
backBtn.layer.masksToBounds = true
backBtn.addTarget(self,action:#selector(backButtonClicked),
for:.touchUpInside)
//Label - Title
let titleLabel = UILabel(frame:CGRect(x: width * 0.3, y: 13, width: width * 0.55, height: 40))
titleLabel.text = "Favorites"
titleLabel.contentMode = UIViewContentMode.center
//include all in view
topBar.addSubview(titleLabel)
topBar.addSubview(backBtn)
containerView.addSubview(topBar)
Is there a way in which i can do it without using UINavigationBar or setting status bar.
Hi you can also try this one ,
need to add a view with same background which you set in your header view and add to container parent view .
please refer below code
//Top Bar
let safeAreaView = UIView(frame:CGrect(x: 0,y: 0, width: width, height: 40))
safeAreaView.backgroundColor = UIColor.white
self.view.addSubview(safeAreaView)
let topBar = UIView(frame:CGRect(x: 0,y: 0, width: width, height: 60))
topBar.backgroundColor = UIColor.white
topBar.layer.shadowColor = UIColor.gray.cgColor
topBar.layer.shadowOffset = CGSize(width: 0, height: 3)
topBar.layer.shadowOpacity = 1
topBar.layer.masksToBounds = false
topBar.layer.shadowRadius = 8.0;
//ImageView - Back Button
let backBtn = UIButton(frame:CGRect(x: 25, y: 18, width: 18, height: 34))
let backBtnImage = UIImage(named: "back_button") as UIImage?
backBtn.setImage(backBtnImage, for: .normal)
backBtn.layer.masksToBounds = true
backBtn.addTarget(self,action:#selector(backButtonClicked),
for:.touchUpInside)
//Label - Title
let titleLabel = UILabel(frame:CGRect(x: width * 0.3, y: 13, width: width * 0.55, height: 40))
titleLabel.text = "Favorites"
titleLabel.contentMode = UIViewContentMode.center
//include all in view
topBar.addSubview(titleLabel)
topBar.addSubview(backBtn)
containerView.addSubview(topBar)
I've updated to Xcode 9, and I have a titleView in my NavigationItem created in this way:
let logo = UIImageView(frame: CGRect(x: 0, y: 0, width: 70, height: 25))
logo.image = UIImage.logo
logo.contentMode = .scaleAspectFit
self.navigationItem.titleView = logo
The result is that it doesn't consider anymore the frame height.
we can control the size and position of UINavigationbar titleview. Don't use to set the imageview as titleview directly. in here create a custom UIView and then set the frame as what you need requirement and add the logo as its subview
do like
let supportVie = UIView(frame: CGRect(x: 0, y: 0, width: 70, height: 25))
// Here you can set View width and height as per your requirement for displaying supportVie position in navigationbar
//supportVie.backgroundColor = UIColor.red
let logo = UIImageView(image: UIImage.logo ) //UIImage(named: "SelectAnAlbumTitleLettering")
logo.frame = CGRect(x: 45, y: 5, width: supportVie.frame.size.width, height: supportVie.frame.size.height)
// customize the origin as (45,5) but can pass them as your requirement.
supportVie.addSubview(logo)
//supportVie.contentMode = .center;
navigationItem.titleView = supportVie
When i try to create an uiview with loading text and activityindicator, even though it looks centered in iphone 6, it is not centered in iphone 5.
How can i use auto layout for this programatically created UIView ?
I am trying to center this uiview in all screen sizes
boxView = UIView(frame: CGRect(x: TableView.frame.midX - 60, y: TableView.frame.midY - 15, width: 180, height: 50))
boxView.backgroundColor = UIColor.blackColor()
boxView.alpha = 0.5
boxView.layer.cornerRadius = 10
var activityView = UIActivityIndicatorView(activityIndicatorStyle: UIActivityIndicatorViewStyle.WhiteLarge)
activityView.frame = CGRect(x: 0, y: 0, width: 50, height: 50)
activityView.startAnimating()
var textLabel = UILabel(frame: CGRect(x: 60, y: 0, width: 200, height: 50))
textLabel.textColor = UIColor.whiteColor()
textLabel.text = "Loading"
boxView.addSubview(activityView)
boxView.addSubview(textLabel)
TableView.addSubview(boxView)
EDIT: I tried this and it seems working good
var bounds: CGRect = UIScreen.mainScreen().bounds
var width:CGFloat = bounds.size.width
var height:CGFloat = bounds.size.height
boxView = UIView(frame: CGRect(x: width/2 - 90, y: height/2 - 100, width: 180, height: 50))
