Question
When different cell repeat the same accessoryView Settings, getting stuck when I was out of the controller, can't into the interface
Each time when the controller card dead don't know why.Why can't accessoryView set the same view?Ask everybody to help. Thanks
accessoryView for each tableview cell should be independent but not shared, you should make a new view very time when assigning to table view cell.
Why acessoryView can't be shared? Each view should only has one superview.

I'm sorry for my shoddy English.
A cell named 'A' contains a subTableView;The 'A' is normal,but the subCell's frame.size always is (320,44).

thank you for looking at my question.
I'm sorry for my little English again.
initWithStyle allways returns cells with height of 44 unless you overwrite it in a subclass. You should change height in delegate methods.
default cell height is 44.0. You need to override heightforrowatindexpath method.
I created a UITableView programmatically and set all of its attributes, but the data from my NSMutableArray will not populate the cells and the cells do nothing when tapped. Any insight appreciated, thanks!

Got it thanks, the problem was with the data transferring from my singleton array of favorites to my local array (which was previously empty). Much obliged :)
At the end of viewDidLoad method, just add this:
[list reloadData];
I've added a UITableViewController to my main view controller using method from Apple docs:
- (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated {
myTableViewController = [MyTableViewController new];
[self displayContentController:myTableViewController];
}
- (void)displayContentController:(UIViewController *)viewController; {
[self addChildViewController:viewController];
viewController.view.frame = self.view.bounds;
[self.view addSubview:viewController.view];
[viewController didMoveToParentViewController:self];
}
and I wanted to display some example cells in this controller:
[self.tableView registerClass:[UITableViewCell class] forCellReuseIdentifier:#"Cell"];
(I don't think I need any more configuration as it is UITableViewController, not UITableView)
(UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:#"Cell"];
cell.textLabel.text = #"Under development";
return cell;
}
- (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView {
return 1;
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section {
return 5;
}
But all I can see is just empty cells (I've also tried to change background color to make sure it's not just the while label color):
After few hours I have no idea what I did wrong. Do you have any idea what am I missing?
You have to used it:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
UITableViewCell *cell=[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:#"cell"];
if(!cell)
{
cell=[[UITableViewCell alloc]init];
}
cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
cell.textLabel.text = #"Under development";
return cell;
}
Try it:
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return Table_Arr.count;
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
UITableViewCell *cell=[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:#"subwaysurfer"];
if(!cell)
{
cell=[[UITableViewCell alloc]init];
}
UIImageView *imgg;
UILabel *txt;
UIImageView *Acc_img;
imgg=[[UIImageView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10,5, 50, 50)];
imgg.image = [UIImage imageNamed:[imageArr objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]];
cell.highlighted=YES;
cell.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
txt=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(20, 0, self.view.frame.size.width-80, 60)];
txt.numberOfLines = 3;
txt.text=[Table_Arr objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
txt.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
// txt.textColor=[UIColor colorWithRed:66.0/255.0 green:51.0/255.0 blue:57.0/255.0 alpha:1.0];
txt.textColor=[UIColor colorWithRed:44.f/255.f green:78.f/255.f blue:134.f/255.f alpha:1];
txt.font=[UIFont fontWithName:#"AvenirNextCondensed-Medium" size:16.0];
Acc_img=[[UIImageView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(self.view.frame.size.width-40, 20, 20, 20)];
Acc_img.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"arrow.png"];
if(UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM()==UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad){
imgg.frame = CGRectMake(10, 5, 80, 80);
txt.frame = CGRectMake(120, 10, self.view.frame.size.width-160, 70);
Acc_img.frame = CGRectMake(self.view.frame.size.width-80, 25, 40, 40);
txt.font=[UIFont systemFontOfSize:28.0];
}
[cell addSubview:imgg];
[cell addSubview:txt];
[cell.contentView addSubview:Acc_img];
return cell;
}
-(void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
}
// fixed font style. use custom view (UILabel) if you want something different
- (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
if(UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM()==UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad){
return 90;
}
else{
return 60;
}

- (UIView *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView viewForFooterInSection:(NSInteger)section{
return [[UIView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width, 0)];
}
Ok, problem solved. It appears, that even using UITableViewController which has built-in property tableView it is necessary to initialise the tableView (or at least it did help me).
self.tableView = [UITableView new];
Is it possible to load a View of height 672 as TableView header?I added it But i am not able to scroll and See the tableview cell Details.
i have used the code
ACCRemainderView *header = [ACCRemainderView customHeaderView];
[self.tableView setTableHeaderView:header];
In the Remainder View
+ (id)customHeaderView
{
ACCRemainderView *customView = [[[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:#"ACCRemainderView" owner:nil options:
nil] lastObject];
//make sure customView is not nil or the wrong class!
if ([customView isKindOfClass:[ACCRemainderView class]]) {
return customView;
} else {
return nil;
}
}
Try implementing - (UIView *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView viewForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section in your UITableViewController and return [ACCRemainderView customHeaderView].
Set tableHeaderView is the best choice. I tested and it works.
ViewForHeaderInSection can not because at this view header's height is larger than table's height.
You can not scroll, I think your tableView is overlap by another view.
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
_tableView.dataSource = self;
_tableView.delegate = self;
}
- (UIView *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView viewForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
NSString *title=[self tableView:tableView titleForHeaderInSection:section];
if ( !title )
return nil;
UIView *view = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, tableView.frame.size.width, 500)];
view.backgroundColor = [UIColor greenColor];
return view;
}
- (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return 500;
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return 2;
}
- (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView
{
return 2;
}
- (NSString *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView titleForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return #"abcd";
}
- (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
return 50;
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = (UITableViewCell*)[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
}
cell.textLabel.text = #"a";
return cell;
}
I am very new to Objective-C. I just searched and tried to learn about UITableView.
I have created this UITableView. instead of "a" in all the rows i want it to be in a sequence like "a b c d..." and if i increase the no of rows it should scroll. its not scrolling so here is my code.
#import "ViewController.h"
#interface ViewController ()
#end
#implementation ViewController
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
CGRect frame = self.view.frame;
UITableView *tableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:frame style:UITableViewStylePlain];
tableView.separatorStyle = UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleSingleLine;
tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor cyanColor];
tableView.delegate = self;
tableView.dataSource = self;
[self.view addSubview:tableView];
[super viewDidLoad];
}
- (void)viewDidUnload
{
[super viewDidUnload];
}
- (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation
{
return (interfaceOrientation != UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown);
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section{
return 20;
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath{
UITableViewCell *cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:#"cellIDent"];
cell.textLabel.text = #"a";
return cell;
}
#end
set table view Delegates in IB or if u created Programmatically then in viewDidLoad Take one array fill it Dynamically or Statically.Give array count in NumberOfRowsInsection method and reload table view at appropriate place
in your cellForRowAtIndexPath: add these lines
char ch = 'a' + indexPath.row;
cell.textLabel.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%c" , ch];
Check this tutorial, I'm sure it will help you
UItableView Guide
and for scrolling, You don't need to do anything yourselves, as the number of cells increases beyond the provided size, it automatically becomes scrollable and make sure that scrolling is enabled in your UITableView attribute inspector, check the image
Happy Coding

Use below code.....define alphabetarr in globally then use it in code...
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
alphabetarr = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:#"a",#"b",#"c",#"d",#"e",#"f",#"g",#"h",#"i",#"j",#"k",#"l",#"m",#"n",#"o",#"p",#"q",#"r",#"s",#"t",#"u",#"v",#"w",#"x",#"y",#"z", nil];
CGRect frame = self.view.frame;
UITableView *tableview = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:frame];
tableview.backgroundColor = [UIColor cyanColor];
tableview.separatorColor = [UIColor blackColor];
tableview.delegate = self;
tableview.dataSource = self;
[self.view addSubview:tableview];
[super viewDidLoad];
// Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
}
- (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView
{
return 1;
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return [alphabetarr count];
}
- (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
return 30.0 ;
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell!=nil) {
cell = nil;
}
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
cell.selectionStyle = UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone;
}
cell.textLabel.text = [alphabetarr objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
return cell;
}
