Write Check Marks in RMarkdown? - latex

I try some examples from LaTeX, such as \Checkedbox, \CrossedBox*, \HollowBox, but unfortunately, they all do not work. I found $\Box$, $\checkmark$. Anyone know how to type checked box?

You can create your own command which overlays \checkmark on top of \Box:
\newcommand{\boxedcheckmark}
{{\ooalign{$\Box$\cr\hidewidth$\checkmark$\hidewidth}}}

Check $\boxedcheckmark$ to see if it suits your needs.

DokuWiki: Highlight Part in code Block?

I want to highlight/emphasize a part in a code block in dokuwiki.
I could not find a hint in the docs: https://www.dokuwiki.org/wiki:syntax#code_blocks
But maybe I am missing something.
Background: I am not searching for syntax highlighting. I want to emphasize a part.
That's not possible. There are alternative highlight plugins (code2 seems to be popular) that might be able to do that.

can xfce4-terminal set line-space ? Or which terminal-enumlator supports setting it?

GVim can achieve this goal by set linespace=12, but It does not work in xfce4-terminal.
I have tried almost all terminal listed in this page, but didn't find.
thanks for help!
Finally, I changed xfce4-terminal to urxvt

How do I add a wireshark column that will display the value of an HTTP Request Query Parameter?

For example :
If I had http://somepage.com/somefolder/someresouce?p1=value&p2=value&p3=value
I would like to see a column that would display the value of p2 if it existed in the request.
I googled, asked people around but can't find a good answer.
If think creating a dissector might help, but I don't want to write a new dissector for http.. that's an overkill.
And there is no http.request.queryParams["p2"] syntax for use of Custom Column type.
Thanks in advance!
Edit : I solved my own Question, adding the best implementation so far in my own answer below.
Well, the solution was indeed in dissectors.
Wireshark help is not very good, the examples are ok though.
The main problem was that wireshark help defines that you can write your lua script, and place it in the plugins directory, which is searched recursively for lua files.
I did place my lua there and nothing worked, After almost 2 hours of fiddling, I found out instead of putting it in the plugins directory, it had to be in plugins//myScript.lua in order to work...
Now just to share my work :

Sublime Text 2: How to set up consistent syntax highlighting for Guardfile?

While it is easy enough to set the language for a given (open) file in Sublime Text, I'm wondering if there is any way that I can tell the editor in advance that anything called "Guardfile" should be highlighted like it's Ruby code. Does anyone know how to do this?
The plugins recommended in the comments by Brian both do the job nicely:
ApplySyntax
SyntaxFromFileName
Update:
I couldn't get SyntaxFromFileName to match any of my regex for some reason. On the other hand, DetectSyntax comes with syntax highlight for the Guardfile built in.
Update2:
DetectSyntax has been renamed to ApplySyntax
Putting the following at the top of said file also works
#!/usr/bin/env ruby

Figure spanning full width of page in two-column article

In a IEEEtran latex template, I am trying to put a figure spanning full width of the page.
I am doing,
\begin{figure*}[h]
\centering
\setlength\fboxsep{0pt}
\setlength\fboxrule{0.25pt}
\fbox{\includegraphics[width=6.2in]{Figure7}}
\caption{Figure}
\label{f7}
\end{figure*}
This places the image on a new page at the end of the article. How do I place it where it should be?
Thanks
For starters I might try to put the figure* block further up in the document, just to check that LaTeX isn't placing it there for a logical reason.
If that doesn't work, I would remove all extraneous commands in the figure* block to be sure they aren't causing problems.
Finally I might try using a figure that doesn't need resizing, or use [width=0.9\linewidth] just to check; sometimes figures that are "too big" can get bumped to the end of the document.
Edit: You may also try using (temporarily) a different template. For example I know that revtex4-1 has a figure* environment that behaves the way to want, to check if ieeetran is the problem or perhaps if that is part of their style.
the problem is the [h].
get rid of that, it'll work.
