I found my app changed UI after I updated xCode to 9.
See the image with post, Fonts look bigger, views look bigger, images lost crispness.
I'm facing this issue in iPhone 6 and later these issue, iPhone SE and and 5S looks fine the same.
Did anyone face this issue??
I got issue resolved.
We had started app with iOS 7, since then we have been using launch images set. we had never used Launch screen xib or storyboard....after adding launch screen xib everything's working fine now :)

I am updating my code Xcode 9.2 to latest Xcode 10. all things working properly but splash screen logo image not shown when apps running . is there any solution for it.
I got solution for my problem by restarting testing device.
See previous answers here: iOS Keeping old launch screen and app icon after update
You don't specify in the question if you're running on a real device or simulator, but if simulator make sure you do 'Erase All Content And Settings' from the 'Hardware' menu. The simulator is not an emulator and doesn't always behave the same as a real device.
I'm trying to bring my App current to iOS 10.1, using Xcode 8.1. My App is targeted to both iPhone and iPad. All the simulators for the iPhones work o.k. However all the iPad simulators draw a screen that is bad, and after a second, the good screen appears.
The bad screen looks like:
After about a second the actual screen appears. It looks like:
This did not happen in earlier versions of Xcode, and I sure would appreciate some suggestions on why Xcode 8.1 is doing this.

The problem is that you are still using a launch screen image file. Those no longer work. The initial screen nowadays is your LaunchScreen.xib or LaunchScreen.storyboard. You need to have one and configure it so that it matches your actual initial interface.
I'm working on a React Native app and for some reason it started only rendering in iPhone 4S dimensions. The issue started happening when I upgraded a bunch of packages and messed with the Info.plist, project.pbxproj, and *.xcscheme a bit (too much it seems).
Here's a screenshot on an iPhone 6:
When I run it on a 4S it looks normal.
Any ideas?
As someone mentioned this happens when Launch Screen File is empty. Verify in XCode under the 'General' section that Launch Screen File is not empty:
EDIT To clarify question
I have a large app that has been out for a few years. It runs perfect on all iPhone sizes (4 up to the 6 plus). It supports both iOS 7 & iOS8, and is Optimized for iPhone 5.
My issue is with iOS9. The app no longer uses the built in scaling that iOS provided to fit the app onto the 6 or 6P screens.
Not only that, but it is rendered as if it were on a 3.5" screen. It is not recognizing the Default-568h#2x.png static image. Causing it to letterbox on an iPhone 5.
Is this a bug in iOS9 that does not recognize the static splash screen image?
Thank you so much!
This was caused by my Default-568h#2x.png file being localized (Which is required by iTunes Connect).
When I removed the localization from the file, it started rendering perfect in iOS9.
This does not help anyone whose app is currently in the store with a localized Default-568h#2x splash screen file.
As far as I can tell the only way around it is to have a 'Splash Screen' .xib file defined in your project settings (you then lose the auto scaling for iPhone 6 and 6+, which was perfect for our application).
I have a case open with Apple regarding this. They told me that they could not look deeper into it until iOS9 was out of Beta (tomorrow morning), and if it was still happening, than it is indeed a bug on their side and (hopefully) would be fixed soon.
I use Images.xcassets to manage assets of app. I had to create a LaunchImage in there and just add images for iphone Portrait ios 7-9 and not have any for retina 4.7 and retina 5.5 and things worked again.
If you use a Launch Storyboard then you need to remove that and add xcassets as mentioned in previous paragraph
This is in xcode 7
This is completely puzzling me, I am using Xcode 6.4 and iOS 8.4 and the iPhone 6 simulator. I start a new vie controller project for the iPhone only, go to the main storyboard turn off auto layout, keep size class data for iPhone, and disable Size Classes. I then put down four UIStepper one in each corner of the view in the main storyboard. The build and run the app in the iPhone 6 simulator.
I have also tried cleaning the build folder and starting a new project altogether but this keeps happening. any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
The picture shows the results being offset left and upwards.
Have you tried to run it in an iPhone 5s simulator? For me it looks like that your Storyboard is configured for an iPhone 5s display.
However I would not recommend you to develop without Auto Layout and Size Classes, because your App will not work on different iPhones and thus probably will be never in the App Store.
