English to European-Portuguese translator

I am using Google Translator for multilingual support. As far as I googled, it provides only Brazilian Portuguese & not European Portuguese. Is there any other translator/API(Free or Licence) that could provide European Portuguese. Please suggest.
I am pretty sure google translate covers European as well as Brazilian Portuguese.
Just entered a bunch of words that are only used in Portugal such as
Descapotável
Fixe
Aferrolhar
Gajo
and they provided the correct translation into English. I did have to set the source language as Portuguese ( if left to autodetect in some cases it failed to detect the language )
The google api documentation shows both Portugal and Brazil as being covered ( see code 'pt')
In my experience, the most consistent translation matrix between American English (en_US) and European Portuguese (pt_PT) that's available online is the DeepL Translator/DeepL API. Their paid offering, DeepL Pro, takes it a step further to supplying formal and informal tones for both regions and represents the pinnacle of machine translation for European Portuguese that I've personally used.
Bing Translator also offers an explicit choice between European and Brazilian Portuguese translations and does a fair job at minding the differences, though it appears less nuanced about the vernacular usage than DeepL.
Both of these are far superior to Google's offerings when working with Portuguese. As a participant in their Crowdsource project and the support forums for it, according to the Google representatives there (as of Q4 2021), there remains no official plan to fork the Portuguese part of the database into Brazilian and European variants despite years of requests for it.

What languages does Google Cloud Speech Automatic Punctuation Support?

I have been playing around with Cloud Speech API and noticed that it returns punctuation for English but not for Japanese when enableAutomaticPunctuation is set to true.

EDIT MAY 2020: Now, Speech-To-Text supports more languages
Update: as of May 2020, several languages have punctuation supported, including Japanese. They have a full list of languages they support and features that are supported for each language listed here.

Can Chinese users who read the app store in traditional see a simplified description?

Can Chinese users who read the app store in traditional Chinese see a simplified Chinese description? My app is currently only translated to simplified, and I only specified the simplified translation in iTunes connect. I wonder if I'm losing traditional Chinese readers or if the app store simply reverts to Simplified for them? How does it work?
People for Hong Kong or Macau may have difficulties reading Simplified Chinese, since their native locale is the traditional one.
Try having 2 versions of Chinese, or use Google if needed.

Handling "Save/Close Event" for OpenOffice.org

Few month ago I developed functionality for my Application that can handle save and close events for Microsoft Excel and Word in Delphi. I used COM. Now I must create the same for OpenOffice. But after a few hours of searching I didn't find any useful information. I don't know where to start. I will be very happy for any help. Thanks.
UNO is the OpenOffice/LibreOffice component model.
Here is the UNO reference: http://www.openoffice.org/api/docs/java/ref/overview-summary.html
Here is the Delphi/UNO bridge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/uno-pas-bridge/
With UNO you will be working with many interfaces, in a strongly typed language you will see many casts. These casts deprive the developer of IDE support which is a nuisance.

Globalization + Ghana Africa

Just curious, but has anyone done globalization in an application for Ghana, Africa? I've been searching all over the Internets to no avail. Is the predominant language tag en-GH? I am currently developing an application for deployment in a Ghanaian medical facility and have been worried about localization issues. Any pointers? Resources? Anything?
Thanks!
According to the CIA World Factbook for Ghana, the language breakdown is Asante 14.8%, Ewe 12.7%, Fante 9.9%, Boron (Brong) 4.6%, Dagomba 4.3%, Dangme 4.3%, Dagarte (Dagaba) 3.7%, Akyem 3.4%, Ga 3.4%, Akuapem 2.9%, other 36.1%. English is the official language, though.
If you're developing an application for a Ghanaian medical facility, why don't you ask someone at that facility who will be using your application?
