I am trying to make a Chat app. I have a tableView and prototype cell in which I have UILabel. But I am stuck with label size(HxW). Please take a look in the image below:
The first label is taking extra width and height is less. I want that label should take width according to its content but till the button.
These are the contraints:
For the height I am using:

Hello I have a UITableView with x# of cells. the last cell I have two UILabels. When the second UILabel text is set I am trying to get the cell and the UILabel to resize to show the text.
Here is what I have:
The UILabel - LabelBio (orange) has:
Lines: 0
Baseline: Align Baselines
Line Break: Word Wrap
Autoshrink: Fixed Font Size
The constraints for ContentView, LabelSellerInfo and LabelBio are set as follows:
LabelSellerInfo
LabelBio
ContentView
With those settings here is what a get:
I have tried many variations but cannot seem to get the Bio label to grow and shrink, sometimes if I get the label to grow the cell is still too small.
Can anyone help me to understand what I am doing wrong and show me how to get the constraints correct to get this to work?

Remove this function in your code func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> CGFloat
Set height constraint of LabelBio greaterOrEqualThan 0
here are the steps ...
hope you know about autylayout. use constraints (left to content view, right to content view, bottom to content view and verticle to your first label)
then in your viewdidLoad method add YourTableView.estimatedRowHeight = 200 -> give any height you want.
finally define below method :
func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> CGFloat {
return UITableViewAutomaticDimension

I have a tableViewCell with a label inside that could be multiple lines tall. I've set the label's Lines property to 0. However, when I make the label's text have multiple lines the text gets cut off. Here's how I've set up my storyboard:
Does anybody know how I made the table's cells just tall enough to contain the labels within?

Set numbers of line to 0 of the label as from property inspector of xcode, it can be done from code too please refer following screen shot

You are missing the bottom constraint from the label to the table view cell (as far as I can tell). In order to make autolayout know how large the height of the cell has to be, you need to supply those constraints.
In addition do not forget to provide the estimatedRowHeight to the table view. If that value is not given, automatic cell sizing will not work.
I am trying to set the UITableViewCell height based on what is in the cell (Primarily the image). It looks fine on an iPhone 7 Plus, however any smaller devices produce something similar to this.

What am I doing wrong? I have the height and width constraints set to 'Greater or Equal to' 200. The height and width of the UIImageView on the Storyboard are 370x370
I was able to solve this myself by doing these steps below:
Switching my Storyboard View to iPhone SE
Setting the UIImageView to 'Greater than or Equal' value: 275
Setting the aspect ratio to 1:1 for the width and height of UIImageView

I have a table view controller with a navigation controller, and when there is no data for the table view, I want to display a single table cell with instructions on how to add new data. I can display the table cell, but I do not understand how I can get the height of the cell to span the visible height (table height - navigation item height). My goal is to have the label inside of my table cell be vertically centered in the device. I've tried using self.tableView.frame.height, but that gives me the scrollable height, which is larger than the visible area.
Edit: I failed to mention I'm doing this from tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> CGFloat.

I have a UITableView and have my own custom cell containing a UILabel inside the cell.
I want to increase the tableView row size according to the text in the label.
I am using AutoLayout and my label have 20 padding from left and 8 padding from right,top and bottom.
I am stuck here because the label context is some time small and sometimes very large and i want to increase the size of that row when the text is increased.
Set the UILabel.numberOfLines to 0 and add this to your UITableViewDelegate
