I'm learning Xcode and Swift, so I decided to go through the tutorial on the Apple Developer website. I've set up my text field to dismiss
the keyboard as the tutorial said, but rather than dismissing the
keyboard and performing the action done by
func textFieldDidEndEditing(_ textField: UITextField)
the text field just makes a new line and the keyboard doesn't dismiss.

I'm writing an app for iOS where I have 3 values, and every value is the result of two the others two. So, if you compile two of the three you have the third value.
Right now I have to clear the value inside the Texfield manually before calculate the third value otherwhise the app dont work. What I want to do is that when I compile the first and the second textfield the third clear automatically.
In practise I want to check the last two entered textfield and clear the other.
How can I check this statement in swift?

Consider that you have tow textFields in the ViewController, You will need to implement textFieldShouldBeginEditing method from UITextFieldDelegate protocol, as follows:

Note that you can recognize the keyboard type for the current textField by checking its keyboardType property, which is an instance of UIKeyboardType enum:
The type of keyboard to display for a given text-based view. Used with
the keyboardType property.
What about UITextView?
The same exact functionality should be applied when working with UITextViews, but you need to implement textViewDidBeginEditing(_:) method from UITextViewDelegate protocol instead of implementing textFieldShouldBeginEditing. Again, make sure the delegate of the textView is connected to the ViewController.
Also,
If your main purpose of checking the keyboard type is just for recognizing what is the current responded textField/textView, I suggest to do a direct check:

Step 1: Delegate UITextField

Update viewDidLoad() to this:

Step 2: Working with UITextField's methods:
Add a variable called keyboardType, as below:

Then, change it whenever a new textField begins editing:

I have the following in the ViewController:
a) a long viewScroller ( 1000 Height)
b) This long viewScroller contain a UIView Which is 1000 Height, called it 1stView
c) In this 1st UIView (1000 Height), it contain another UiView ( called it 2ndView)
d) in this 2ndUIView( the size: W300x H290) , it contains 5 textFields.
The problems:
1) How to I move the 5 textFields above the Keyboard when user click any one of the textFields to enter data?
for problem (v1) as below
2) below code for problem (V2).
When click outside ( 2ndView or in 2ndView ) the keyboard wont go away.
3) current codition without any implementation for moving the Keyboard up, the 1st TextField can be seen above the keyboard when user click the textField and need to scroll to see the others. Will AppStore approve this User experience?

I have little experience in Objective-C. I want to hide the keyboard for a text field using the Swift programming language.

I think the Problem is with setting the Delegate.
Please set textfield Delegate to your ViewController like this

and then create the IBOutlet for your text field like this

make sure that it is connected to your text field on your view in storyboard.
finally set its Delegate using

Just override the UIViewController method called "touchesBegan" and set endEditing to true. Just like this:

In order to hide the keyboard when you pressed a button, you need to use the following function.

This works when a button is pressed.

In my example I connect it to method called 'ended'
declare sender as UITextField and then call sender.resignFirstResponder();

Here i have solved the problem, that when keypad opens and the view gets hidden behind the keypad.... that time we need to change the UI constraints dynamically in order to make the whole view visible. In my case i am changing the bottonConstraint of the UITextField dynamically.
