I recently uploaded a TestFlight external test build to iTunes Connect. When users download the application the Share Extension doesn't seem to be appearing in Safari or any other application that has the share menu. Even after clicking the more button the application extension doesn't appear at all.
Any reason why this might be happening? And any ideas on how to fix it?
I had this same issue occur with a few of my testers on an early TestFlight build. After I uploaded a new build that had the exact same share extension code it was no longer an issue.
It should be noted that I contacted the original poster about this issue and he had the same experience.
I think this can be attributed to a TestFlight bug that works itself out over multiple builds.
EDIT
I found out that one of my users was using iOS 10.2. While the deployment target of my main app was 10.0, the deployment target of my Extension was at 11.2. This prevented my share extension from working for them.
Lesson: Make sure your deployment targets are the appropriately set across all your targets!

I've been developing an iOS apps that implements some C++ libraries which are later converted into .dylibs in order for iOS devices to be able to run the app. I can run the app in any iOS device without any problem. I also can archive a development .ipa and test the app in other's people devices.
The problem that I'm having is when I submit the app into app store connect in order to test it using TestFlight and be able to distribute it into the app store. I'm getting the following errors when submitting it:
TMS-90426: Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing. Rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode and resubmit it.
TMS-90424: Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing. Rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode and resubmit it.
I have tried some solutions, including the ones suggested in here: https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2435/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40017543-CH1-TROUBLESHOOTING-BUNDLE_ERRORS
I'm not sure if I'm correctly implementing the libraries into the project. I did what the link said, which is embedding the libraries into frameworks, but that didn't solve the error. I would like to know if there is any tips or solutions to what I'm doing to see if I'm doing it right or if I can take another path to solve the problem.
Make sure you build and export using an official release of Xcode, and not any Beta version.
Have you tried contacting Apple support for some insight into the problem you're having?
We've been developing and testing a Watchkit Extension app (iOS 12.1 and WatchOS 5.1) for the past few months and successfully testing it on a simulator and local, connected devices (iPhoneX + Watch 4) using xCode 10.1.
This past week we built an archive for posting to App Store Connect. We got stuck in the Archive Organizer after archiving for release. The "Validate Content" button was disabled, the Version is blank, the Identifier is blank, and the Type is "Generic Xcode Archive". Unfortunately, all we can do is export the .app files from the Archive Organizer; we can't push the archive to App Store Connect.
We made sure the build scheme was set to Release and we archived to a Generic iOS and WatchOS device. We also set Skip Install for the three targets (iOS app, Watch app, Watch extension) to No as we assumed none of those are static libraries. We even tried every permutation of Skip Install settings. We looked at the issue in the following link and we have no Header steps in the Build Phases of any targets:
https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2215/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40011221-CH1-PROJ
We have two frameworks we included in the project using carthage. We thought maybe these were causing issues, but we rolled back to a branch before we added them and still have the same problem.
We made sure the build in the Scheme is set to a single target and cleared out the Derived Data folder. Still no dice.
I’m not 100% sure from your question, but are you trying to push an archive of the watch app to the App Store?
If so, that’s not how you submit the app. The Watch app is embedded in the “regular” iOS app, and to distribute it you need to archive and submit that app as usual.
If I’ve misunderstood, feel free to ignore this!
I had the exact same problem. When I changed Skip install on the watch app and watch app extension to YES, it suddenly worked. No idea why.
I downloaded Xcode 7.1 from the App Store today after working from 7.1 beta downloads from developer.apple.com and have a new iOS app build to upload. So I did:
Product > Archive
Upload to App Store (or Validate)
But the response was:
You are not authorised to use this service
Intriguingly, when I 'Export' the build to the Desktop and then use Application Loader 3, it uploads without error.
Is this an iTunes Connect bug? Or is there a new Xcode checkbox I've missed?
Note: I've also tried removing and re-adding my AppleID as suggested here, and restarted my Mac for good measure (which actually allowed the validation to work once), but still no luck uploading directly from Xcode > Organiser.
I met the same issue today and I think it is a bug of Xcode 7.1
Finally I managed to submit my app via Application Loader. There were warnings but it did work.
Here are the basic steps:
Archive
Export
Xcode menu --> Xcode --> Open Developer Tool -->
Application Loader
Double click "Deliver Your App" and choose the
file exported in step #2
click next and follow the instructions until
the end
Here's the quick solution:
Don't use Xcode beta versions to submit apps for release — it's beta for a reason and shouldn't be used with production code.
Submitting Apps
Apps that are created using beta versions of Xcode or that are built
for beta versions of operating systems will not be accepted on the App
Store and Mac App Store. Apps that you submit should be developed
using the latest version of Xcode from the Mac App Store and should be
built for publicly available versions of iOS, OS X, and watchOS —
except when GM seeds are available. When a GM Seed of Xcode becomes
available, use it to develop your app for submission. When GM seeds of
iOS, OS X, or watchOS become available, build your app for these
versions.

Having the same problems as all of you, just thought I'd share that I found a way to Validate successfully, you have to disable the "Include bitcode" checkbox before moving forward. As for the actual upload to App Store, no work around for that one other than use the Application Loader...
Also I've been seeing this too since XCode 6.4, but it seems once the current version has a couple of months after it's originally released it starts working again... fingers crossed that it starts working again soon, because uploading straight from Organizer is so much better. (I saw the Beta Version post, when I say after a couple of months for current version I'm not talking about Beta versions, just in case ;) )
Same problem here.
Downloaded Xcode 7.1 from the App Store and it refuses to upload a new version.
Happily Application Loader worked ;)
Hopefully this gets fixed quickly.
One possible reason for the issue could be multiple development accounts under one name (personal and company). I've read elsewhere (apple radar) that that caused earlier problems of this kind.
Happens here if the dev account is only admin. I had to use the central account for uploading our apps. I think this problem startet sometime with XCode 6. Didnt investigate further though since Application Loader works in cases when I dont have access to the central account.
I also have the same problem today.
Finally, I used the application loader to upload successfully, too.
Theres a few solutions I have come across to solve this issue.
Most common being to remove and re-add your developer account.
This won't work on its own though, you need to also 'view details' on your account and have Xcode download your provisioning profiles again.
The other alternative is to upload your build using application loader. The disadvantage to using this solution is that should you be trying to upload using a beta build of Xcode or OSX you won't be able to change your apps .plist in the archive folder to trick iTunes connect into accepting it. In this instance all you have access to is your ipa.
Disable the "Include bitcode" checkbox worked for me.
I'm interested in adding a Watchkit Extension to my existing app already in the app store. I've done my research, followed some tutorials, and now am ready to actually implement.
The problem I'm having is, I can't seem to add a Watchkit App to my existing project and get it to run in the simulator. If I start a new project and do some tutorials or whatever, the Watchkit App runs fine. Adding to my existing project, I just get a black screen in the simulator window. Not even the status bar is present. http://i.imgur.com/kG7H06i.png
Only lead I have so far is: In the debug navigator, I get "Waiting to Attach" every time I try and launch the app. http://i.imgur.com/vYLfJN8.png
Any help on this would be appreciated. I reseting my simulators, tried deleting my simulators and then reinstalling. Double checked that bundle identifiers and versions match. Target for the WatchKit App and Extension are both set to 8.2 (I was getting an error setting to 8.3). Target on the main app is 6.0, but I tried bumping this up to 8.2 and had the same results.
Thanks!
EDIT: Before this is marked as a duplicate of How to run a WatchKit App, I do want to mention that I'm running the "Watchkit App" Scheme, and I do not have a status bar like in the window like he does.
Are you using iOS 8.2 simulator ?
I had similar error, switching to simulator with iOS 8.3 fixed it for me.
Check that your build target is the Watchkit App. I had it set to the main app so the main app was launching in the sim, but the watch app was blank.

How to run a WatchKit App
I am also running into a similar problem but not on the simulator but on the Apple Watch device. Try setting Skip Install to NO in the WatchKit App target settings
After working with Apple, it appears as if this was an issue with Xcode creating the target. Our app is several years old, and for some reason when creating any new target, the Wrapper Extension is set to "app" every time. This has caused us issues in the past with trying to add testing targets as well.
We were able to fix the issue by going to the Watchkit Extension target, and changing the Wrapper Extension from "app" to "appex". Make sure you leave the Watchkit App target to "app". We asked why Xcode wasn't doing this automatically for this particular project, and it's because the overall project target has the Wrapper Extension set. If you create a new project, you'll notice that Xcode now leaves this blank.
Hope this helps someone else.
Sometimes, restarting Xcode solves the problem.
Even if everything is configured correctly, it may take 20 seconds to attach the process to the debugger.
I tried everything but nothing helped. Then I backed up the watch app and watch extension folders. After that I removed the watch app and watch extension targets and created new targets. Then I restored the files from the backup. It's an awkward approach but it solved the "waiting to attach" problem.
Xcode 10.0; Swift 4.2; iOS 12.0
I had the same issue with Apple Watch simulator. What actually solved it was deleting the default Siri watch face from the Watch App on the iPhone simulator.
I have an iOS project that has several targets. Each target also has an embedded Today Extension.
All my build schemes have been created automatically, and recently refreshed.
However, when I try to Debug/Run my Today Extension on the actual device, Xcode deploys multiple apps/extensions to the device, not just the one in the selected Scheme.
For example, if I select this scheme:
...then not only is BusCheckerTodayExtension, and its containing app installed to the device and run, but also BusCheckerUKTodayExtension, BusCheckerWESTTodayExtension and both of their containing apps too.
Is this a bug to be reported in XCode or is this some obscure build/dependency setting that I've missed?
This was almost certainly a bug in Xcode and seems to be fixed in newer releases.
