How to zoom in iOS Simulator more than 100%? - ios

I'm working on my project and use Xcode iOS simulator.
I want to zoom in more than 100% for iPhone 5/5s screen size, but the maximum is just 100%. I use retina display 13'' Macbook, so I can't see every details what is going on the screen.
Is there any solution to solve this problem?

You can't zoom more than 100%.
One idea if you wanna see some deeper details of one specific UI you can take a screen shot of the 100% zoomed screen by pressing/going to
command + s or File > Save Screen Shot
and then Zoom it as deep as you want.

There's 4 stages of zoom by pressing cmd + 1,2,3,4 that's all you can do for zooming with only simulator.

In case if Window - Zoom menu item is disabled for you, uncheck Show Device Bezels.

Just take a screenshot and then zoom on it.

xamarin debug on iPad

I am developing a iOS app with xamarin. If I debug it in a physical machine (iPad) or a iPad simulator, it only shows a white screen. But it works if I debug with iPhone simulator.
What is the cause of the issue?
Thanks.
Updates :
I found that it is due to the project only have an iPhone view. And it leads to another question - When I would like to change the width and height of content in iPad view, all views will change at the same time. Does it mean I need to create different storyboard for each screen size?
Thanks.
The white screen issue is related to the zoom level on your simulator. On the Simulator, look at the Window menu and it will be either Zoom or Scale. Try setting Scale to 50%.

Xcode 7.1 iOS 9.1 Simulator transparent

I just recognized that I can see thru the iOS Simulator if an UIView is defined with (semi-) transparent content. But I can not make a screenshot of it, on the screenshot the effect is gone.
The (custom) navigation bar on top has alpha set to CGFloat(0.9).
Here a screenshot taken with an iPhone 6:
Zoom in and you can see thru the simulator window on Xcode. I assume this is a bug, or is it intended behavior of the OS X transparency effects? If it is intended, can I turn it off?
Ok, I have found the problem. Actually it is not a transparency effect but a display problem. I am using an iMac 27inch with an IPS LCD display, which suffers heavily from "screen burning". Xcode is standing on this position for hours so it burned in into the display. That's why I can not make a screenshot - it is a hardware problem.

Yeah this is going to be a hardware / screen problem. Should not translate to your app.

Is there a way to show the entire simulator screen?

This is what the screen displays on my MacBook. After I updated Xcode, it changed from showing the entire screen of the device to showing part of the screen. I now have to scroll to see everything that would be displayed on the screen.
Bring the simulator app to the front, select the window menu, and choose scale. Pick progressively smaller scales values until the whole simulator fits on your screen. (It should really have a "fit to screen" option, but it doesn't.)
You can resize simulator using
command+1
command+2
command+3
if it doesn't fit.. u will need a bigger screen.

Screen content is only shown in a part of screen in iOS Simulator

My iOS Simulator only show the content as a part of the screen. How can I fix it? I'm using XCode 6.3.1. Thanks
You just need to restart it. It can happen sometimes.
Force close simulator and start it again!
I am including this response for those, who like me, are seeking an solution for this problem after upgrading to Xcode 8.
The simulator began using only a portion of the display, as described in the question, when testing against iOS 8.x. The symptoms were that 1/4 of the display was showing if the window scale was set to 50%, 1/9 would show if the scale was set to 33%, etc. The entire display would show only if the scale was set to 100%, which is a real pain when using an iPad simulator.
The solution for me was to turn off "Optimize Rendering for Window Scale" under the "Debug" menu, which first seems to have appeared in Xcode 8. The 8.x simulators displayed properly after that.
Looking at the image..
I think it has something to do with the resolution/scale of the simulator.. I dont use Xcode 6.3.1 though...
since it's 5s the screen resolution/scale is x2.. so instead of 320x568 it must be 640x1136..
why dont you use the device frame rect to fill the screen? something like self.view.frame ?
its hard to guess what causing your problem, show us something that may help.. :)

Step 1: “Force Quit” the iOS Simulator
Step 2: Open “Spotlight Search” and type “Chameleon Wizard” (if you installed Chameleon Bootloader)
Step 3: In that popup window, click on “org.chameleon.Boot”
Step 4: Uncheck display_0, Graphics Mode(Clear that Dropbox also), cpus=1, npci=0x3000, dart=0. Below shows an image with checked items those mentioned here. Just uncheck it all.
Step 5: Restart your Mac and try.

How do you disable scrolling? I want my app to be displayed on full screen

I have been designing a app on xcode over the past week but I have encountered a problem. When I run the app on iPhone simulators (3.5 inch and 4 inch) my game is scrollable when it shouldn't be. I want my app to be displayed on full screen of iPhone with no scrolling.
I have not changed any of the settings in storyboard so I am starting to think maybe its a problem with the simulator?
Anyone have any ideas of what's wrong and how I could correct this? Any help would be appreciated
The question is pretty vague (how are you "designing" the game? With SpriteKit? UIKit?) but here is some reading material that should get you pointed in the right direction:
- AutoLayout
- Autosizing
I think this is just an issue with the simulator. It seems like if the resolution of the screen is below a certain amount, it shrinks the simulator window to fit, and then you have to scroll around inside the simulator to see the whole VIEW. I noticed this issue because my Macbook has a small screen. But when running on an actual device, it takes up the whole screen as it should. You could try using different simulated devices with smaller screens to see if it still does it.
