I am using YouTube LiveChat Insert API to put some external website links into a user's YouTube LiveStream. The URL is inserted into the LiveChat once every 15 minutes.
Our requirement now is to get the metrics from these LiveChat messages inserted by the system into the user's LiveStream. For ex:
Number of Views on a particular LiveChat Message
Number of Clicks on a particular LiveChat Message
Average engagement/views data in the LiveChat Box during the LiveStream
I have already tried using the LiveChatMessages API to fetch that data but to no avail. I couldn't find any API in the YouTube Data or YouTube Analytics APIs that could provide me that data.
Does it mean this data & metrics is not available on YouTube? Is there any way to get such metrics from YouTube or some other service?
I am using youtube api and some videos, which I am fetching are for YouTube premium. How can I filter them from not fetching these videos?
As always YouTube Data API v3 doesn't provide a basic feature: is a given video a premium one?
I would recommend you to use my open-source YouTube operational API. Indeed by requesting https://yt.lemnoslife.com/videos?part=isPremium&id=VIDEO_ID you'll receive a JSON where item['isPremium'] is a boolean stating whether or not the given video is a premium one.
With that you will be able to filter premium videos in search results with an additional call to my API.
How to retrieve all my comments in other youtube videos like "my-comments" in google takeout?
I want list all my YT comments to google spreadsheet via Apps Script
I'm currently using the YouTube Data API v3 for videos and I'd like to get pricing information from the API. I couldn't find anything regarding that in the API. Is there another API for this kind of information that I'm not aware of or some undocumented parameter?
Here's an example request to get information about a movie that can be rented and bought on YouTube:
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?key=API_KEY_HERE&part=snippet&id=wz43PZMOrAM
There's a price visible on the site itself but no trace of it in the API:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz43PZMOrAM&app=desktop
Thanks!
This is beyond the Youtube Data API's scope. You can't fetch that information using the Youtube API yet.
Is there a way to find the top X YouTube accounts by subscriber count for Y year---say, the top 100 accounts in 2015? I don't see anything in the API docs, and while there are services like SocialBlade and VidStatsX, they don't provide archived lists, and the data is not captured on archive.org.
The standard Analytics API doesn't provide this functionality. You can get data about views, likes, and dislikes, but you must provide one or more channel IDs.
Required Parameters: ids
Identifies the YouTube channel or content owner for which you are
retrieving YouTube Analytics data.
To request data for a YouTube
channel, set the ids parameter value to either channel==MINE or
channel==CHANNEL_ID, where CHANNEL_ID identifies the currently
authenticated user's YouTube channel.
To request data for a YouTube
CMS content owner, set the ids parameter value to
contentOwner==OWNER_NAME, where OWNER_NAME is the CMS user ID for the
user.
Use the Try this API section on the reference page to test the possibilities.
