App ID for XCode iOS app? - ios

So for my App ID, I'm registering it, I realize the format is com.companyname.appname so two questions
My app has a space in it, so while registering the app name how should I identify the space? Would it be .app-name? (If the app was called App Name)
I'm registered as an Apple developer through a personal account so it's my name rather than a company name, although there is a name I do want to use as a company name for the App ID, that eventually I do want to form into an actual company and eventually transfer the account under an account name. So my question is, in the App ID, should I or should I not use that hypothetical Company name although the company doesn't legally exist yet? I do own the domain so company-name.com (com.company-name, in the App ID) would be accurate.

1) ".app-name" should be fine for "App Name". Even ".whateverIWant" would be fine for "App Name".
2) I have published an app where I used my name as the company name in com.companyname.appname is my name but the app was published under someone else's name. I don't think that would affect your app much.
The only major thing that is important about the app id is that it matches in all places, in the app, the certificate, and iTunes connect.

How do I remove my name from an app that I've uploaded to the app store?

I've uploaded an app to the apple app store and I don't want my name to be publicly visible on the app store, is there any way to replace it with the name of my website?
The only options I've been able to find is to create a new developer account and pay the $99 fee a second time under an account with my website's name and re-upload the app from that account, but I really don't want to go this route.
As far as I know if you are enrolling as an Individual the name of your account should be displayed when you open the app page in App Store , one way is to enroll as an Organization ( Apple needs many things for it ) and specify Legal Entity Name and it will be displayed instead of your name

If my iOS app requires a company name should i a) transfer accounts or b) create a new account?

This post has nothing to do with code. But it kind of does.
There are a couple of posts on this topic but from a while back.
I have recently submitted an iOS app to the app store for review.
And the issue is that the account name is under my personal name.
The account name needs to be the same name as the app. I confirmed this with Apple. Assuming I get all the business registration sorted and DUNS number etc. i have the following questions.
I have a couple of apps already under my personal name in the account. Am I better off deleting these apps and leaving my current app and migrating the account over from personal -> company?
Or should I just open a new account entirely with the company? (there is a fee of course).
If I do open a new account I will obviously need to re-submit a binary. This new binary will need a new certificate, etc. What do I do with the bundle id in xcode?
I will effectively have an app under my personal account with a bundle ID of xxx.yyy.com that was rejected.
And then I will open a company account. I'm assuming I can't just upload a new binary with the same bundle id.
If you change the bundle identifier under the General->Identity tab in xcode - does that affect other parts of the program?
If an app has been rejected during the review process on the app store and has never made it to being accepted - does it need to be deleted?
Thanks
The company that I work for was on the same spot last year.
What we decided to do was create a new account for the company. The fee was paid by the company and configured by them ( DUNS number and contact info ) with our help.
I'm not sure if you can migrate your personal account to a company account. If it was possible, you will have to delete your other apps, which seems a big sacrifice.
The downside of this is that you will need a new bundle ID (it will not affect any part of your code, you can change it as much as you want in development, the problem arises when you upload your app to the Appstore). You'll just create a new bundle ID and re-submit.
What you can do if that is an issue is upload your app to your personal account, publish it and then transfer it to the company account.

Possible to rename iOS App before uploading?

I'm about to upload my app to AdHoc for Beta Testing however the Xcode project is named "MyApp" (not the actual name of the app) but I want to upload it to the app store as "MyLive". The bundle identifier is also com.myproject.MyApp but I would like to rename it if possible to something like com.mycompany.MyLive.
At the moment this is just a personal app attatched to my personal App ID but I'd like to future proof it as best as I can so it doesnt cause me any problems down the line.
As I've enrolled in the Apple Dev program using my personal Apple ID the only team I can choose is my name. However, is it possible to create a new team so that it seems like a company based around the app?
Lastly, if I upload it connected to my personal Apple ID how much personal information will be publicly visible? Is it possible to hide my email address?
EDIT: Is it possible to transfer an App from on Apple Developer account to another? Say when my current membership runs out and I set one up in the company name would I be able to transfer ownership?
Once you've created an app in iTunes Connect the bundle identifier can never be changed. If you have created it as com.myproject.MyApp then it's stuck as such. However, if this is your first upload, there's really no loss to create a different iTunes app with the bundle id of com.mycompany.MyLive.
None of that really matters though as no one will ever see this except you and anyone you've allowed on to your account. Just keep it simple.
You can rename your iTunes app name when your app is in editable state. i.e. If you've already submitted version 1.0 of the app with an iTunes app name of 'MyApp', you cannot change it for that version. But you can setup a version 1.1 and change the name before it's submitted.
It's not possible to create new 'teams'. A team is basically a developer account. You can be invited to join other teams via the owner of those accounts. In the future you can convert your personal account to a business account. It requires a bit of legal paperwork but is not hard.
The only publicly available information is what you've added when creating your iTunes Connect app. You have to add an email under review contact info, this is only used by Apple to reach you in case of questions with your app. You are also required to provide a support URL so your customers can reach you.

Publish iPhone app on apple store without our developer name

I would like to publish my free app on the apple Store for iPhones.
But I don't want my real name to be shown on the store and i don't have a company.
Is there a way without risks to publish my app without showing my real name on the store ?
The following is from iTunes Connect Developer Guide
Note: The company name defaults to the legal entity name you enter when you enroll in the Apple Developer Program. If you enroll as a company, you can set the company name (distinct from your legal entity name) only once when you add your first app, as described in Creating an iTunes Connect Record for an App. The company name must be a registered DBA or trade name. The company name will be used for all your apps and can’t be changed later. If you enroll as an individual, the company name is the same as your legal name. In the store, the “company name” is used prominently for navigation and to group your apps. Your legal entity name appears as the “seller” of your apps. For example, “Apple” is the company name and “Apple, Inc” is the seller name. When users tap your company name, they see all of the apps you have on the store
Please note that the legal entities name is always displayed as the seller in any app description as mentioned above, meaning if you are not a legally registered company your real name is displayed as the seller.
For the iOS App store, you have to form a corporation and enroll using that corporations legal name if you don't want to use your own personal legal name.
Even if/when the app store allowed entering an "artists name", it still showed the developer's legal name in other places in the store, so that didn't not show your name.

ios app store more than one company name

does anyone know if it is possible to show more than one company name for an app in the ios app store?
The reason for this is, that we want to copperatively develop an app with another company (workload should be distributed roughly 50%:50%) and so some could consider it 'unfair' if the application is only attributed to one company.
The company name is entered at the time of creating an Apple Developer account, therefore, whichever company submits the binary to Apple will have their name listed. You could, I assume, create a new shared account and put both company names in when asked.
I would suggest entering both companies under "Copyright". Seller name is just that - a seller name, and, as the answer from Jasarien has said, it can only be entered at registration time. Copyright is, however, is specified per-app and is also displayed on the app store product page.
