I am trying to use the newly released Firebase Messaging Nuget for Android
Referring to this sample which says:
Make sure you've downloaded your own config (google-services.json file) file and added it to your app project with the 'GoogleServicesJson' build action.
I've downloaded the file & added it to the project, but can't fine the build action of type GoogleServiceJson, what am I missing?
Because of which I am getting a compilation issue at
if (GetString(Resource.String.google_app_id) == "YOUR-APP-ID") as the app is not able to find the resource string named google_app_id.
Could someone please help me understand what is missing?
Thanks
After Adding google-service.json file to your project.
Select google-service.json file and go to the property of the file.
In the Properties pane, set the Build Action to GoogleServicesJson (if the GoogleServicesJson build action is not shown, save and close the Solution, then reopen it.

I've been trying for the past two hours to figure this thing out! So I already created a project within my Firebase account; an iOS project. Downloaded the google-service-Info.plist files.
If I click Import New Asset and attempt to search for the file.. can't added it like that, I have to drag it into my folder.
I'm aware that the file must be put within the root folder (which I have done many times now), but I still encounter the same error message.
Could not locate google-services.json or GoogleService-info.plist files"
I removed all the Firebase files (SDK), re-installed them,.. same thing..
I also deleted the GoogleService-info.plist file and downloaded a brand new one, same thing!!! enter image description here
I'm currently using Unity 2018.2.1f1, My computer: macOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.6
I have same problem.
Add IOS and Android build component for Unity. Switch to the platform Android. It resolve you problem.
Check SDK status. See in screenshot below:
This happened to me right after adding a GoogleService-info.plist to a project that only had Android support before.
Doing Assets -> Reimport All also worked for me to get past this error.
In my case I missed the step where you generate those files on Firebase.
Generate them from your Firebase console by clicking the Unity icon in your project overview page. See more complete documentation here
I have done with all the settings of my react native project and trying to run on the IOS simulator, it's working fine. Means all the api working properly.
So now I have to share my .ipa file to team members for testing, so creating .ipa file I am using procedure defined on react nativeRunning On Device documentation.
For creating .ipa file using Xcode following below process:-
In Edit Scheme option, change Build Configuration to release.
Clean Build Folder
Create Build.
Archive build.
After that exporting .ipa file using valid certificate.
Solutions I have tried:-
Checked with this solution, because the domain I am using to hit web service is not secured.(It's http)
Enable Transport security flag.
Added main.jbundle (created using command line) to Copy Bundle Resource option in Build Phases.
While adding Alert in api call, getting below error (check image)
Still No luck.
Please let me know, what I am doing wrong?
Please check api server live link is working or not. In my case, I am testing whole api's on local network (In LAN). But when trying with live url, I am also facing this issue.
So that time I made one mistake, that my url should contain http:// but in actual it was https://.
It's pointing to main.jsbundle file, that means it's having issue
related with your code.
So check it once.
I have a old project EmojiMaker and now i have renamed the project as Emoji Maker Pro.The display name, bundle id and other files have been renamed. There is a test folder with same old name,i have also renamed to new one ,but the .m file still has old filename. Will it create any issue while the project to app store?
no no any issue create for that but you verify
click on project then show in right side identify and type in select proper location of your project.. so no issue generate.
I am using windows 7 .my antivirus is now disabled. I want to build a hybrid app. i downloaded phone gap. when i creating new phone gap project their shows "Selected folder doesn't contain a config.xml ". I tried lot of time but i cant able to create a project .after seeing this message selected folder contain 4 folders but it is empty. I want to built a hybrid app but i am stuck in beginning stage.so please help me to solve problem.
i am attaching screenshot of project creation and error message .1st screen shot is how i created project.2nd one is error message when i click create project.3rd one is empty folders created in selected folder for creating project.
When i select a folder with config file it show below error...
It helped me to create the project through the PhoneGap CLI and then just add the project in the Gui. That worked for me
Install phonegap Cli with npm: npm install -g phonegap#latest
Go to your project folder and create the project: phonegap create testproject
Start the PhoneGap Desktop App and add the existing project
We've pinpointed the issue, there seems to be have been a recent change to the template and it seems to have a compatibility issue with the connect-phonegap create API which is used by PhoneGap Desktop to create projects.
We're currently working on a fix.
In the mean time you can also use the PhoneGap CLI as an alternative.
I'm trying to setup Google Analytics for my new iOS app, when following the instructions here.
It instructs me to click the "Get A Configuration File" button, but that button just sends me to another page that has a spinning, nothing ever happens. I already have a property setup in Analytics for web and a view setup for mobile.
Can anyone share the GoogleService-Info.plist file with me so I can attempt to manually fill in the details of the file and add it to my project?
It happened with me also. If you close everything and follow that link it worked for me next time. You can try to do that. Below is the link of sample plist file, of course I replaced tracking id, bundle id and app id to strings from original values. Hope it helps.
Sample Google Plist file
Generally in iOS
1) Create your project in Firebase console https://console.firebase.google.com
Click add project and follow steps.
2) Now open this link to get GoogleService-Info.plist file
https://developers.google.com/mobile/add
-->Click Get Started
-->Select your project
Ex: CloudFirestoreSwift
--> Now select domain Ex: iOS
-->Now add app bundle id then GoogleService-Info.plist file will be generate, download it and complete the steps if required.
NOTE: Please don't change file name. It's must be GoogleService-Info.plist
If you already generated GoogleService-Info.plist file. Now select your project and go project settings.
--> Go General tab, you can find GoogleService-Info.plist file here download it.
Steps for getting configuration if your first time login to google developer account.
1. Open google developer console.
2. Login to developer console.
3. Create project with valid name.
4. Enable google analytics.
5. Then get the configuration file.
The download link is not always immediately visible and you have to scroll up to get it, I happen to press next before downloading and I missed the opportunity to download the file.
I prefer the automatically generated file as I am lazy (aren't we all)
So, follow these steps
Go to https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ios/v3/
Scroll down to Get a configuration file
When prompted for the app name and bundle Id, just use the drop down menu and you'll find your previously created app details there.
Proceed to the next screen Continue to: Choose and Configure Services
Select your service, note that your previously selected ones will have a green arrow (Analytics in the case below)
Select Generate configuration file
You'll be given an opportunity to download the file again.
Voila!
You need to login on https://console.developers.google.com create your first application, then go back to https://developers.google.com/mobile/add the website will now work correctly.
Installing Ignore X-Frame headers plugin on Chrome made this bug vanish
Same here, I got following invalid json file:
)]}'
{"status":401,"message":"Invalid authuser parameter"}
and that is resolved by clearing cookies on google.com on your browser.
Thanks to Sanjana I decided to look at Google's web code and found they have an X-Frame error.
So the url you can visit is https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=cloudconsole&osid=1&passiv…collection/ios/v3/app?configured%253Dtrue&hl=en#add-config&cntlbl=Continue
