I am running my project on Xcode 8 and Swift 3.
I deploy the build to client by TestFlight, but each time on launch the app crash without crashlog on Xcode Organizer(only get .ips.beta format file). The build works well on iOS 10 under iPhone 6s.
device iPhone5s iOS 9.3
My Xcode deployment version 9.0 or 9.3 (both doesn't work)
Anyone has any suggestions? thanks!

I am working on a camera app in Swift. Because it is a camera app I have to use the iPhone to run versions of the software. I recently upgraded to iOS 11.0.2 on the iPhone 5s. Now when I try to run the app on the phone I get the following message "This iPhone 5s (Model A1453, A1533) is running iOS 11.0.2 (15A421), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode." and the software will not load. Is there a way around this?
You should update your Xcode to Xcode 9. Xcode 8 will not compile for iOS 11.
Update your xcode to xcode 9. This issue is because of the mismatch version of xcode and your device. To run the app on IOS 11 you must have xcode 9.
Install the xcode 9 because the iOS 11 is only supported run using xcode 9. The previous xcode couldn't run in iOS 11
Please make sure your app is 64bit. Also check https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=06282017b
I would distribute app for iOS 6.
Actually I have XCode 8.2.1 and if I try to distribute with this version of XCode the app doen't work on iOS 6 but works with the highter versions.
So I tried to to distribute my app with XCode 6.4 but it doesn't work either on iOS 6, but works perfecty with highter versions.
I'm starting to think that MAYBE, just MAYBE, the app installation il locked by o.s of iOS.
Can someone help me to understand the issue?
The minimum deployment target with Xcode 8 is iOS 8. To support target
the iOS SDK 7.x and below, use Xcode 7.
If you try to use a deployment target of iOS 7.x or below, Xcode will
suggest you change your target to iOS 8
And Mac OS Sierra you cannot start Xcode 7.x as it crashes on launch due to a missing library.
I have Xcode 5.1 and I've received the code of an app developed for iOS7 (with this version of Xcode) which is said to be compatible with iOS8. I want to test the app in my iOS8 device but when I try to build the code I've received I have no choice to build with iOS8. Should I install Xcode 6 and build with iOS8? or should I build for iOS7 and install in my iOS8 device?
Thanks in advance!
You should use Xcode 6, or 6.1 Beta. Xcode 5 is not for iOS 8 development.
EDIT: But you could always build it for iOS 7 and install it on an iOS 8 device, as you mentioned, as long as the app doesn't need any iOS 8-specific features.
Am I able to debug using my device, which I just updated to iOS 8? I want to keep using Xcode 5.1.1 if possible, but after updating the device I don't see it in the schema anymore (replaced by "iOS device" placeholder)
You cannot build to a device running iOS 8 using Xcode versions prior to Xcode 6.0 because Xcode won't recognize the OS on your device. To test on iOS 8 devices, you can use Xcode 6 GM (since Xcode 6 isn't out yet on the App Store).
Download Xcode 6 GM in the Apple Developer Member Center.
EDIT
Per #rmaddy's comment, you can use Xcode 5 to test your app on an iOS 8 device (provided it doesn't use code only compatible with iOS 8+), but you must plug the device in once while running Xcode 6+ and allow it to process the symbol files from your device (you can view this in Xcode's Organizer). Then it should work with Xcode 5.
I'm not able to test my app on iOS 6.0 simulator, because it disappeared. I definitely remember I downloaded it and for some time I could use it. When I click on more simulators to download it now, there is only iOS 7.0 and iOS 6.1 simulators. And for all I know, I have set the deployment target to 6.0 everywhere. Any ideas?
Apple withdrew the 6.0 simulator at the server end, so it is no longer listed. If you really want it, you can move it into Xcode from another version of Xcode (it's obvious where it goes).
The latest Xcode (5.1 as of writing this) only supports iOS 6.1 simulator. If you wish to test on iOS 6.0, you need to test on a device.
Technically speaking, there is very little API difference between 6.0 and 6.1, so you can test 6.1 for most scenarios just fine.
Still we can use ios 6 simulator in xcode 5.1.
If you cant see iOS 6 simulator in downloads. Try this one,
download xcode 4 sdk and copy the ios 6 simulator sdk from xcode4,
[Application->xcode 4 ->contents->developer->platforms->iphone
simulator platform->developer->sdk folder.]
And paste ios 6 simulator sdk to xcode 5, [Application->xcode5->
contents->developer->platforms->iphonesimulator
platform->developer->sdk folder]
I followed this steps and got ios 6 simulator,. see below
