I recently changed my developer account from company to individual. I have successfully transferred my applications, apart from the application groups.
I cannot see anyway of transferring the existing app groups and my thoughts are that if I create a new app group, existing users will:
Not be able to upgrade
If they were able to upgrade, their existing data would be lost
None of these situations look good unfortunately.
Therefore in terms of TL;DR:
How can I transfer app groups between developer accounts?
Thanks.
So I just spoke with Apple on the phone - they were awesome at helping and we found a solution.
Let's assume account A is the old account and B is the new account that you want to transfer the app group to.
Simply delete the app group from account A and recreate it in account B with the exact same identifier. Problem solved :D Thank you Apple!

There are many answers out there on how to transfer individual apps, but none that I could find on how to transfer an entire account. I'm exploring this as a workaround to the issue where Apple won't let me move an app that has iCloud entitlements. Even if you remove the entitlement, as long as the app has had it in the past, it can't be transferred.
One idea is to add another user as an admin on my iTunes Connect, and then have them remove me. Anybody have any ideas?
It's not possible to transfer a portfolio of apps. You can only transfer apps one-by-one and have the already mentioned restrictions. It's possible to change the team agent/account owner at least for company accounts.
If you have a personal account, this might not be possible. I had an issue with a personal developer account (account owner Apple ID no longer found in Apple's database) and they were able to change the email, but I had to prove that I'm the same person.
In any way, might be best to contact https://developer.apple.com/contact/ for that.
I'm about to upload my app to AdHoc for Beta Testing however the Xcode project is named "MyApp" (not the actual name of the app) but I want to upload it to the app store as "MyLive". The bundle identifier is also com.myproject.MyApp but I would like to rename it if possible to something like com.mycompany.MyLive.
At the moment this is just a personal app attatched to my personal App ID but I'd like to future proof it as best as I can so it doesnt cause me any problems down the line.
As I've enrolled in the Apple Dev program using my personal Apple ID the only team I can choose is my name. However, is it possible to create a new team so that it seems like a company based around the app?
Lastly, if I upload it connected to my personal Apple ID how much personal information will be publicly visible? Is it possible to hide my email address?
EDIT: Is it possible to transfer an App from on Apple Developer account to another? Say when my current membership runs out and I set one up in the company name would I be able to transfer ownership?
Once you've created an app in iTunes Connect the bundle identifier can never be changed. If you have created it as com.myproject.MyApp then it's stuck as such. However, if this is your first upload, there's really no loss to create a different iTunes app with the bundle id of com.mycompany.MyLive.
None of that really matters though as no one will ever see this except you and anyone you've allowed on to your account. Just keep it simple.
You can rename your iTunes app name when your app is in editable state. i.e. If you've already submitted version 1.0 of the app with an iTunes app name of 'MyApp', you cannot change it for that version. But you can setup a version 1.1 and change the name before it's submitted.
It's not possible to create new 'teams'. A team is basically a developer account. You can be invited to join other teams via the owner of those accounts. In the future you can convert your personal account to a business account. It requires a bit of legal paperwork but is not hard.
The only publicly available information is what you've added when creating your iTunes Connect app. You have to add an email under review contact info, this is only used by Apple to reach you in case of questions with your app. You are also required to provide a support URL so your customers can reach you.

I have created a app long time ago on my iTunes account and now i would like transfer it on different iTunes account. After googling i found transfer app is available at under App information > Additional information > Transfer App like here But i am unable to find Transfer app option on my account like here. I have already read Criteria for Transferring an App. Please let me know what can i do.
Yes , Here is your solution
When you are a member under an organisation you can't able to see that option in your appstore account
Only the admin will have that access and can able to see transfer app option.
Get those admin credentials to transfer the app.
It worked for me
Only the person who has role "Admin, Account holder" can transfer app to another account.
Other admins cannot transfer app to another account and they cannot see Transfer app option under Additional information
One possible reason listed in App Transfer Criteria that I don't see mentioned in other answers is this:
The App must have had at least one version that has been released to the App Store.
Make sure that you had at least one actual version published on the App Store. Published TestFlight builds don't count.
Is it possible to submit apps to Apple's App Store using an individual account, if the app was developed by a group of people? (we are a group of 4, created the app but we don't have a company, we just agreed to submit it, even if it stays at the name of only one of us at the store)
Yes of course, have a look here for example.
You need to chose an individual App Developer Account for you 4.
Technically speaking yes, but keep in mind you probably should have some in writing agreement about the application. Basically your funds will be deposited into the account of the person who is on the Apple Developers Account, electronically.
Good luck on your new venture!
I hope somebody can help here, its an ongoing issue with no obvious solution.
The background
I created my own personal apple developer account back in 2010 to tinker about with iOS development. The company I worked for at that time asked me to write an app as a test to see if we could a) write an app and b) sell it. It so happens both cases were true and the app has flourished into a successful venture.
The issue:
I am leaving this company and we are trying to figure out how I can give them this app, they did after all still pay a salary while I was making the app so I consider it their app really only its tied to me and my personal developer license. I currently forward any funds it makes to them each month.
We contacted Apple and they suggested the company i work for set up a company developer account and then ask for an app transfer. This sounded great and we started the process but then it occurred to me that re-signing the app under a different developer license would effectively kill the existing app on the store. All our ratings would be wiped (and there are quite a few) which is unacceptable. The ratings of an App are extremely important to its success on the store. Apple confirmed that the ratings and reviews do not get transferred across. We stopped.
So, here I am at this block again.
The company I work for even suggested buying my personal account off me so they can run it themselves but I am worried about this, it seems fraudulent as I am the one responsible for contracts on that account and any issue would come back to me. THey wouldn't be able to change the owner "name" on the account either from what I have read.
Any suggestions how we can resolve this?
Thanks
Geoff

This is false. As long as you transfer the app like Apple suggests (you need to contact them for this), the company just needs to submit a new version from their account and it will work. You don't lose your ratings, nothing. It all gets transferred to the new account including the iTunes Connect side of things. They can sign it with a different certificate and submit. As long as the app ID is the same as before (which it will be), there is no problem.
It sounds like you have old or inaccurate information, because I know somebody who did a transfer like this, and they kept all the ratings etc.
I have faced this same issue, after contacting apple several times, we concluded that there was not other choice, so we removed the app and re uploaded it a gain on the other account
Not only the rating has been wiped, but also users with old app will not be able to update it when you push a new version to the app store
Its a very tough decision, but we had no other choice
