I have a UITableViewController with several cells. Users can enable select feature by tapping on Select button. Once user taps on it, it toggles to Cancel button. What I would like to do is cancels all current selections when user taps Cancel. It should work just like Photo app. I know how to deselect a selected cell but I don't how to retrieve a collection of selected cells, so that I can iterate through it and deselect them. The following is my attempt, but as you can see, it only deselect one cell.

You can use the table view's indexPathsForSelectedRows property to get an array of selected NSIndexPaths. Loop over this array and deselect each one.

I am using coreData and simply sending data from the tableView cell content that is text and the color of the cell to a modal view controller. In modalVC, I am able to change the text and when I press done, the tableView gets updated.
Now I want to add a feature in which if the text is removed completely and the user press done, the data from coreData should be deleted and so should the tableView row.
Here is what I am doing in order to achieve this:

num is the indexPath which I am sending from the first VC to modal VC (kind of keeping track of which cell is tapped)
Now when I dismiss the modal viewcontroller, a notification is send to the firstVC to trigger a func which essentially reloads the tableView in firstVC. However, while the row is no longer seen in the tableview, I still have have to go back to my rootVC and then back to first VC to update the tableView completely.
Help will be appreciated!
Use an NSFetchedResultsController to let your table view be triggered by CoreData changes.

I've been trying to create table view cells each with a UIImageView serving as a background for them. However, when I tap on each cell the table view will not register the click and will not transition to the view controller I have hooked up, even while I'm using the didSelectRowAtIndexPath function.
I realize it's probably an issue with the ImageView obstructing the table views ability to register the cell tap. The cells will transition however when I drag my finger/mouse on it from left to right, just not on taps. I tried to use a Tap Gesture Recognizer on the Image View however it only worked for the cell at the very top and not all of them. How do I tackle this issue?

If you uncheck User Interaction Enabled on your Image View, the problem should be solved. When running into a problem always check the user interaction of the most child view and work your way up.
One trick I have also learned is to create a subclass of a child and override touchesShouldCancel like so:

I am unsure of exactly what your problem is, but I would delete whatever segue that you have, add a new one by dragging from the yellow circle on the left side of the center portion of the top of your tableView ViewController inside the storyboard, to the viewController that you desire it to segue to. Give the segue an appropriate identifier, and then inside your tableView class under tableView didSelectRow add performSegue(withIdentifier: "ChosenIdentifier", sender: indexPath)
Then in prepare forSegue add in:

I have a tableView with two UITextViews. The user can add as many cells as they want by tapping on a "+" button. The tableView starts out with one row (cell). Lets say the user adds some information to the two textViews and then taps the plus button and scrolls to get to it. I call this function to dismiss the keyboard when a user scrolls so it isn't in the way:

Now, the keyboard disappears and the user goes to tap on the second row's text field. The tableView jumps up (I think to accommodate the keyboard), but the textField can't be edited (no cursor and keyboard doesn't appear). If I go back up to the first row (row 0), the keyboard appears and I can edit the textView. Why is this happening?
There is a property on scrollView subclasses (e.g TableViews)
tableView.keyboardDismissMode = .OnDrag
Once the user begins a descending drag it dismisses the keyboard
scrollViewDidScroll calls everytime the tableview moves, so when "The tableView jumps up (I think to accommodate the keyboard)" it also calls and close the keyboard. You should add there some confines or put endEditing code in the other place.
I am using MGSwipeTableCell in my app. When a cell is swiped open to reveal buttons if I tap on another cell it dismisses the swipe cell (hides the buttons again). I want the previously swiped cell to dismiss the buttons and then select the new cell in one tap instead of two (i.e. tap off and then tap new cell). Is there any way to to do this?

1.Use UITableView for first type of tab.
a) Use Header and Cell View in your desired format.
b) Hide and unhide cell view with some animation.

The best possible way is using the headerview to show the Master row and the tableview cells for showing the Details row.Write a touch event for the headerview and set it with the showing and hiding the cells ,with neat row animation.You need to keep the status of the opened and closed state of cell with an array of bools repesenting the no of masterview.
