Iam not able to send special characters when responding to ussd protocol - ussd

When I use ussd protocol iam not able use special characters, the keyboard was just showing(1-9 )numbers
( ,)comma and(.)full stop but I need to use other special characters. May I know how can I use those symbols.

please note that some mobile device manufactures do not display special characters for USSD dialogs. I've seen this on some Huawei devices. You may consider trying with a different mobile device or you avoid the use of special characters.

AirPrint: restrict user to only print to printers that support TLS

We are working on a secure application and one of the requirements is when the user prints the data is sent encrypted.
AirPrint seems to support TLS encryption but only on 'newer' printers. https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/725/
There doesn't appear to be any obvious way to restrict our application to printing to these newer, secure printers. For example, UIPrinter does not seem to reveal this information.
Is there a way to restrict this? The only even slightly relevant option I've found is that it appears a configuration profile can be used to restrict the whole device to printing to specific IP addresses, but this is quite a different concept to allowing printing to any encrypted printer.
Note: I am aware of the inherent insecurities around printing, however ensuring that the data does not pass over the network un-encrypted is still a worthwhile endeavor and one Apple generally seem supportive of.
AirPrint API does not have an endpoint for JUST TLS printers.
Apple have a keynote on AirPrint security and what their recommendations/allowances are with security. https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/725/
In short, TLS will be managed by the iOS itself. If TLS is available it will preference this and use it. Otherwise will fallback to NON-TLS.

Twilio Message - Emojis are replaced with "?" in the actual message

I am using twilio to send sms messages through my Java Application.
And when I am sending emojis, emoji is being replaced with ? in the actual message I am getting.
I wasn't able to figure out what is the issue.
Any inputs about this error could be really helpful.
I read in twilio website that emoji's delivery is not guarateed. But I tested with multiple carriers. And I didn't get the emoji in not even one. Even if anyone aware of the list of carriers that it could support, it will be great.
Twilio developer evangelist here.
Emoji support has not been standardised across carriers, as a result we cannot guarantee support for Emoji across all of them. We will do the best we can to ensure the emoji in your message is delivered to your mobile carrier, but if they don't understand that emoji, they will usually replace it with gibberish.
Chances are that you will see some carriers show emoji and some not.

Make a telephone call and send different DTMF tones during the call in iOS

Is it possible to call a phone number programmatically in iOS and send different DTMF tones during the call?.
Basically I want an App to handle the IVR call. I don't know anything about iOS programming. I just want to know the feasibility so that I will put further effort.
Thanks
You cannot do this interactively within the bounds of the iOS SDK (ie, in an App Store app).
You can, however, build a tel URL. See the Apple documentation on phone links for more details if you think this will work for your needs.

Track whether iPhone user dialled USSD code

I am working on a app which requires call forwarding. As we know we can't dial USSD code programmatically in iOS, can we track whether a user dialled USSD code through iPhone or if possible, Is der a way to check whether SIM is used to dial USSD code?
Update1: M nt trying to call ussd programmatically but want to check whether user dialled it or not.For example, if we call USSD codes manually, can we check any logs or any class object variable which can help in finding out whether user dialled a specific USSD code
I don't think there is a way to do that on your app without using the private API.
To prevent users from maliciously redirecting phone calls or changing
the behavior of a phone or account, the Phone application supports
most, but not all, of the special characters in the tel scheme.
Specifically, if a URL contains the * or # characters, the Phone
application does not attempt to dial the corresponding phone number.
If your project is intended to be deployed outside of the App Store, you could use the CoreTelephony framework:
CTCallDialWithID(#"*100#", -1);

dial USSD code from iphone programatically
Updated:
Sadly, Apple have disable the use of USSD codes from within the (legitimate) iPhone sandbox available to developers (via the open URL methods, passing in a tel://xxxxxx URL). This means that there won’t be any applications from your operators that will make it easy to retrieve and change network settings that can be released thru the app store – at least not until Apple change their mind about interactions with USSD codes.

Change phone number programmatically

Is there a way in BlackBerry programmatically replace the phone number with the fake one, so when the SMS, which was sent from such a phone, will be received the recipient will see in 'from' field the faked number?
AFAIK its not possible. You can't show the faked number after receiving the SMS.
It is not possible. This kind of thing is against the security of the blackberry and we all know that blackberry provides very high level of security.
